We start this episode of RHOA, refreshingly, with Team Pretty. Cynthia and Kenya go to see Claudia’s apartment now that she is fully moved in with all of her furniture. I read on one of her blogs that Cynthia had some issues with moving her furniture to Atlanta and several things were stolen. It looks to me like this apartment has been carefully staged by someone. *cough* production *cough* At any rate it’s really pretty and I love the building she is in with the views of downtown. Claudia fills the girls in on the Dish Nation party and her altercation with Porsha. Claudia gets teary-eyed telling the story. She says it reminds her of when she was in high school and she was picked on for being bi-racial.
Claudia is struggling with getting up before dawn to get to the morning show. Porsha’s attitude isn’t helping her morning routine. Claudia meets with Rickey Smiley about her struggles at work and Porsha. Rickey suggests someone be the bigger person and apologize. Rickey goes to get Porsha and brings her in. Porsha walks in with a jar of gummy bears in one of those fancy bags she is allegedly selling her vagina for. Porsha is acting like a 12-year-old. Rickey has the three of them hold hands and pray. Awkward.
Todd and Kandi talk about Kandi’s part that she says Todd got her in Second Chance Christmas. I saw that movie because I love all Christmas movies. I’m already counting down to November to start all over again. Kandi’s part was small and she seemed just like Kandi to me. But still it was fun to see her acting. Kandi and Todd are going to filming but Todd is staying for a week. Kandi says he is not really working but staying to party with his friends. Seriously. Why did these to even get married? And why are they “trying” to have a baby? Kandi’s house is really pretty.
Kandi comes back from her trip without Todd. She had a fight with Todd in LA about her asking people business questions. Todd wants her to ask him because he is in the business. Kandi says she and Todd aren’t really having sex unless she initiates it. They only have sex once a week. Kandi suspects Todd is cheating. Kandi tells Carmon that if she was advising herself about Todd, she would say that they either need counseling or plan to divorce!
Kenya working on casting her show. Cynthia comes in to audition wearing some crazy outfit that she thinks makes her look Jamaican like the part is written. It’s not giving me Jamaica. Cynthia’s make-up is hideous and so is her hair. They give her the part. Did Kenya just say that Leon has a part or that they have cast someone for Leon?
I am going to have a hard time watching these Apollo scenes knowing what really happened. But as this tall tale goes, Peter came over at ten P.M. the night before he was leaving for Kentucky to pick up Apollo and talk to him because he was stressing out. Apollo tells Peter that he went through Phaedra’s phone and discovered that she is having an affair with “some guy.” Apollo somehow has all of Phaedra’s texts on his phone now. (I’m not a phone person, is that a possible thing?) He says that he read texts from Phaedra to this man saying he is her happily ever after and that she is drinking champagne and that makes her a bad girl. They are doing a countdown until he goes away. Phaedra asks for a spanking and calls him Daddy. She also calls him “Chocolate.” Apollo confronted Phaedra about the guy and she said it was nothing. He is some African dude and he is not even in the country. He does admit that Phaedra ran off with the children again. The thing is she did not see him again after she left this time as he had already headed to Kentucky. He says Phaedra is trying to say he threatened her. He says he did point out that “people kill people over shit like this.” Peter tries to talk Apollo down. They continue on to the bar for drinks. This is all a bunch of hype though because Phaedra is already gone.
Peter goes home and tells Cynthia that Phaedra is having an affair with Chocolate. He gives Cynthia all the details about the dirty talk and the countdown to Apollo being locked up. Cynthia is having trouble being it. Phaedra is always calling everyone a whore, and yet she is screwing around on her husband? That is cold blooded.
Phaedra and the boys are back from their beach trip on the day that Apollo is supposed to report. Phaedra is having the locks changed. Phaedra says that Apollo officially checked in that morning. Apollo called the boys on the way to the prison more than once. Apollo told Phaedra that he had burned down the house and had punched the walls. Apollo shows up when the locks are being changed and throws a hissy fit. Mind you the neighbors all say that this never happened. Apollo never returned after he left a few days earlier. When Phaedra came back they were filming when the alarm went off for the millionth time and the alarm people were called. You can see the alarm people outside (Comcast Van) from one of the times well before Apollo left. This is all scripted drama that apparently both Apollo and Phaedra are playing along with. The boys came back home with Phaedra and her mother. So all of that is bullshit too. You see how many cars are at the house and parked on the cul-de-sac? The neighbors know when stuff is being filmed. Phaedra went to the beach with the boys and her mother and only came back on the day Apollo was supposed to leave. There is no way that Apollo saw the boys the night before he left unless he went down to the beach where Phaedra and the boys were. That would defeat the whole purpose of leaving with the boys to get away from him. This is all lies.
Apollo and his friend Bun leave in Apollo’s car. How did Bun get to the house. He is back to yell at Phaedra some more. There is that new motorcycle of Apollo’s. It was there when she was at the beach. Maybe it belongs to Bun, technically. But Apollo was riding it around right up until the day he left. Apollo is back with a power drill. Where are the cops that were supposedly called? Have we finally had our last Apollo scene?
Next Week: More Mr. Chocolate drama as Phaedra takes a swing on Kenya!
