What the hell did Madonna have on? Talk about embarrassing your children! I’m not a big fan of the Grammy’s but I did see a photo of Madonna. Am I allowed to laugh at a legend??? She must be doing that Dove challenge where you don’t look in the mirror. Then I see in your post and RiRi’s all covered up. I don’t curse often, but WTF?

I really would enjoy seeing them tour again. I saw ELO last summer without Jeff Lynn and enjoyed the show but they definitely were missing Jeff Lynn and his voice. Crossing my fingers that they come together after date night’s performance.

No ledsi was never slated to perform the song. However beyonce did request /ask to perform the song as an intro to John legend and common’s song from Selma. Beyoncé overstepped another black female artist again. If anyone one should be singing a song from the Selma movie it should have been LEDSI WHO ACTUALLY PLAYED IN THE FILM AND SUNG THE SONG IN THE FILM, AS WELL AS SUNG ON THE SOUNDTRACK. Beyoncé is shady and narcissist machine. Her actions last night were the final daggers of disgust for me.

I am way too old to watch the Grammys…but I did. I loved Tom Jones and thought that he sounded great for his age. He still has the voice. I’ve listened to Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett (more form my generation) and this wasn’t their best performance. What can I say about Kanye? He is an ass and always will be an ass. Madonna was amazing and whatever she’s doing to stay young is working. Her body and her dancing was beyond good. I don’t like the Sia number and I detest that Maddie is in it. She is a wonderful dancer but it’s way too mature for her in my opinion. I noticed on the girls tell all show of Dance Moms that she is getting a bit full of herself already and her career has just started. Beyonce didn’t win what Kanye thought she should of won but I’m glad…she’s won enough. TIme for new blood and new sounds. The show was well done and even though I don’t listen to most of the music I enjoyed it. No one was more surprised than me! P.S. I love Pharrell (sp?) and his music is for every age group including my senior citizen group. I’m glad that he won a grammy.

I love Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine and was so disappointed in their performance. I thought their vocals approached karaoke. I’ve always thought of Madonna as more of an entertainer than a singer. Her body still looks great, IMO. I think Katy Perry is talented, but I just didn’t enjoy that performance. Is she pregnant?? Annie Lennox still has those pipes and looked great. She was the highlight for me. Tom Jones has aged well and still sounds like himself. I have a thing for awkward guys so I enjoyed Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and Pharrell.

Kanye West is such an A.S.S. about Beck winning over Beyonce for best album.

I like Beyonce, she is a talented singer & pretty to look at; but Beck can play every musical instrument known & writes all his own songs. Beyonce probably has a dozen people involved in making just one song. Selling more units does merit one album better than another.

In my iTunes library & I have:
    112 Beck songs
    9 Beyonce songs
    8 Destiny’s Child songs

I agree, too, about Beck. When I commented above, it was before Kanye’s interview had been shown. When he jumped up there and came back to his seat, he & Kim, Beyoncé & JayZ, and those around him were laughing, so it seemed like a joke. Beck handled both the live moment and the aftermath with admirable grace, something which Kanye obviously lacks. I’m not much of a Beyoncé fan, so I won’t comment on her.

    RE: Sia:
I wonder where her decision to cast Kristen Wiig came from, if this is such “dark, seriouss, subject matter” why cast someone who is known primarily for goofy comedic roles? Granted there wasn’t much dancing for Kristen’s role, but why not cast an adult dancer who is lesser known (as Maddie was before Sia). I just think the whole thing is odd, was she scared to have Shia in it because of the controversy? If the message was a father/daughter then stick to that message.
I don’t know, I try with this woman, but I really think when it comes down to it she is just an attention seeking fame whore like the rest of them, tho with marginal talent.
Also, from a psychological standpoint, I feel like this girl Maddie has become an obsession to women with low self esteem. First Abby, then that no-name lady who created a song for Maddie on Dance Moms, then Sia; it seems like they live vicariously though this confident, popular, talented girl.
I remember as a child I was painfully shy, and in first grade a had a horrible teacher who singled me out and was so horribly mean to me, and would constantly compare me to this very popular, confident, well-liked girl, who the teacher clearly idolized. One time at parent teacher conferences my mom asked her wtf was up with the way she treated me and she flat out said I reminded her of herself as a child, and she hated herself, ergo she hated me. My popular classmate was who she wished she was, and therefore she doted on her. This whole Maddie thing kind of reminds me of that

LOVED Annie Lenox and thought she was the best part of the whole show. I also didn’t “get” Kristen Wig becoming an interpretive dancer-it seemed like an SNL skit for the first few minutes. Love looking at the fashion, but some of those ladies took the sheer trend a bit too far, and Pharrell’s outfits were terrrrrrible. I had to stop myself from tweeting that his outfit for “Happy” made him look like an organ grinder’s monkey-I noticed today that Zach Braff didn’t use restraint and got flak for comparing Pharrell to a flying monkey from Wizard of Oz. Political correctness sucks. Also THANK GOD I wasn’t the only one who hated Beyonce’s rendition of that gospel song. She was awful. Someone needs to crash Kanye’s next big moment.
