Just received this interview with Brandi Glanville for Gossip Girl. I have some thoughts. Be sure to read the entire interview at Gossip Girl because I am just going to hit a few highlights. My comments will be in purple after the actual Q&A
Gossip Girl: Is there drama with your ex to clear up?
Brandi Glanville: The gossip is ongoing. We co-parent, we have two amazing little boys, and we get along. We have our issues. We have two different households, two different sets of rules, so we have to talk because of our kids. But what you’re seeing on Housewives right now was four months ago.
TT: It must be a struggle for Eddie and LeAnn to get along with someone who is constantly shitfaced on TV. Say what you will about Eddie and LeAnn but I don’t see either of them falling down drunk in the tabloids. Sure LeAnn has had some strange moments on stage…but not as bad as say Mariah Carey. Eddie has enough sense to keep the boys off of RHOBH despite the fact that Brandi wants to have them on to be like the other moms. Most of the RHOBH viewing audience is perplexed that Eddie has not sought full custody. Perhaps he is waiting for the rehab stint to bolster his case even further? Those poor boys must be going through hell at public school everyday. I bet if Eddie had full custody, LeAnn would spring for private (perhaps boarding, but still…) school. Either would be preferable to the boys being exposed to Brandi’s behavior.
Gossip Girl: How’s your podcast going?
Brandi Glanville: Really well…It’s not like anything I’ve ever done before, being on the other side of the interview, so I’m really enjoying the process. It’s nice to be able to speak your opinion, get your side of it out. I use it as a way to clear up a lot of stuff because I read things about me everyday. It’s really freeing and nice to interview other people, get them comfortable, and then go in for the kill! I’m really enjoying it and hoping it will turn into something more. My dream is to one day have my own talk show. That is something I would really love to do, a nighttime talk show like the Chelsea Handler show.
TT: I’m not sure Brandi understands that “being on the other side of the interview” means it is not about her. Interviewing is not about “getting your side of it out.” It’s actually about the person you are interviewing. It’s also kind of appalling that she says she wants to get people comfortable and then “go in for the kill.” It’s hysterical that she wants to emulate Chelsea Handler, who thinks she is a giant cuntsicle. Like really hilarious. Wasn’t this interview before Whitney Cummings made it clear Chelsea hates her on WWHL? This explains why she cried to Andy in a tweet about bullying. Andy himself basically said on Ask Andy recently that he was not bullying Brandi and was offended by her choice of words. Basically, people hate Brandi. Lots of people. That’s not bullying. That’s just public outcry against her shitty treatment of others.
Gossip Girl: Have you talked to other Housewives about your Apprentice experience?
Brandi Glanville: Kim and Yolanda, yes. Lisa Rinna a little bit. She went through this herself a couple times. You know, there’s a lot of competition with the Housewives. Even though it’s not a game show, [there’s a lot] of who’s doing what? Who’s getting what show? There’s not a lot of patting on the back, ‘Good job!’ It’s like, ‘Why didn’t I get that?’ But there’s no prize at the end of Housewives. I’m used to people backstabbing you, but not trying to win for a team and having somebody throw you under the bus.
TT: Aw, did she get thrown under the bus? Somehow, I don’t think Lisa Rinna was interested in having a conversation with her at all, unless it was in the RHOBH script. It’s no coincidence that the relapsed addict and the woman who admits she has lost brain function are her only allies on RHOBH.
Gossip Girl: What do you watch on TV?
Brandi Glanville: I watch Pokemon, all the Disney shows with them. But my favorite show is The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It’s my guilty pleasure.
TT: Translation: God I want to be Kenya Moore.
