Celebrity Apprentice Recap #2 Say Yes To The Dress

The Task

Whoever sells the most wedding dresses and raises the most money wins.

Team Infinity

Kenya Moore, Brandi Glanville,  Leeza Gibbons, Johnny Damon, Ian Zierling, Terrell Owens

Project Manager: Ian Zierling

Ian wanted this challenge because it is probably the only big money challenge left. He seems passionate about his charity. Ian has a great charity for a little known genetic disease in kids. Ian says he has $185K  lined up. Kenya says she can bring in $10K.  Terrell Owens is slacking.

Ian has design people on standby for interior décor. The stores are side by side and his is clearly the front runner in the staging department. Meanwhile, Brandi goes AWOL saying she is having panic attacks so she went back to her room to lay down. Brandi has a Xanax script.  Nine out of ten panic attacks can be stopped about 20 minutes after taking one. Ian is not happy. Kenya makes sure everyone knows how bad this is for Brandi. Kenya calls Brandi a crazy bitch several times.

The next day, Brandi brought in a ton of money very early. Ian got a check for $165,000. I really want Ian to win. He has really hustled to bring in the money and Geraldo’s charity has already one.

Vivica Fox’s Instagram

Team Vortex

Lorenzo Lamas, Geraldo Rivera, Sig Hansen , Vivica Fox, Kate Gosselin, Shawn Johnson,

Project Manager: Geraldo Rivera

This is the other fundraising challenge. It’s all about dialing for dollars. Geraldo took PM again because he wants to call in his big guns for his own charity.  He says he has $130K  he is confident in. Kate says she ha $50K, on the Pie challenge Kate said she had $25K and ended up with nothing.  Geraldo and Ian have been having a pissing match for biggest dick all season and they both want to beat each other badly.

Kate has good ideas. A pop up bridal hair salon and her and one of the guys dressed as a bride and groom outside.

Geraldo got a single donation of $100K. Sig was kind of creepy trying to drag women into the store. Kate’s big donor barely made it, but he did make it in time to give a $30K check.

The Boardroom

Ian says that he thinks he won. Ian says Kenya was great. Ian says that Brandi was very fragile. Trump keeps making excuses for her. The two teams raise almost $600K combined.  The difference in the fundraising was only $2,500.  Trump decides to let the two project managers decide if they want to keep their own money or risk it all for the $600k. This is because these two guys are so competitive. Trump is an evil genius. Geraldo says even though he is confident that he won, but he doesn’t want Ian to lose the money he earned. Geraldo is certain he won. And he did.

Which means someone from Kenya and Brandi’s team is leaving. Ian hates Brandi. Trump loves Brandi. Brandi raised about $40K  Kenya raised about $35K, Leeza raised about $20K. Terrell and Johnny are both in trouble. T.O. didn’t raise much money at all. He’s fired.

Ian is a very emotional guy. Bye Bye eye candy.

My random thoughts on CA so far:

    * I bet someone on this board that the women were going to lose the ad challenge and Jaime would be fired. I’d like to collect. 🙂
    * Brandi whining about Kenya “manipulating” people is the same thing she accused Lisa of last season — girl needs to change the records.
    * Brandi seems likes she’s drunk in her talking heads. She probably is.
    * It seems the entire women’s team was poisoned early on by Brandi trash talking Kenya — Jaime admitted as much in the first hour of the show.
    * Leeza is obviously protecting Brandi for some reason, as is Trump. Maybe Andy has something to do with that?
    * Contrary to what Brandi was going around saying before the show aired that no one liked Kenya and her only friend was Kate, obviously Kenya’s getting along pretty well with everyone but Brandi and maybe Leeza at this point, and T.O. and Ian def. like her.
*For Ian to “lose” to Geraldo by only $2500 when they both raised so much money (and Ian personally raised more than Geraldo did) was heart breaking. Ian is a spacey “peace, love and happiness” LA guy, but he seems sweet. And Geraldo is just such an ass. Trump of course loves Geraldo and based on that, I’d bet on Geraldo or Leeza (who Trump obviously also loves) as the winner.
    * I’m disappointed in T.O. — he really didn’t seem to be trying to raise money. He def. deserved to be the one fired, but now we will all be deprived of seeing his fine self every week because of it.

The fact that Brandi did not get called out by Donald Trump for leaving is crazy. The panic attack was because no one was giving her attention when they changed teams. Although she did hustle & raise some money she had negative attitude from when the task started. This is why it is hard to believe anything she says about reason for leaving. She could not get Kenya angry and kept trying to cause drama. Kenya handled her like a champ by ignoring it.

…how did she have a negative attitude? She sat away from the group to make calls, got donors, then showed up the next day. Her and Kenya didnt even SPEAK.

I would have loved it if they had – even though it kind of makes me cringe to see a team of women in a (psuedo) professional setting talking about fake butts and periods – it IS entertaining.

But lets not make shit up.

Look, ladies, women read Cosmo. Ladies always want to be skinny.
Men prefer Kenya’s body,e.g. Kim Kardashian. Preference can even be divided among racial lines.
The issue for me is Brandy had all day and night to raise money. Kenya had other responsibilities( along with fund raising ), like the rest of her team.
Even though Brandy had all that time to raise money, she still only raised
        5K more than Kenya.
Also, Brandy is a heavy drinker. Don’t think I’m not almost certain she had
a drink or two back at her hotel room.
Bottom line, team members are supposed to stay at the project site.
Brandy left before she got permission from the project manager to leave.
When Dionne Warwick did that ( on her season ), she was sent home.
And she had gotten permission to leave from the PM.
The real problem is Ian wasn’t clear with Trump that not only did Brandy have a panic attack, she also left for the rest of the day( before getting
permission ), leaving the rest of the task for everyone else to do.
Remember one girl was sick during a previous challenge, but she stayed!

This is strange. This morning there was a picture of Brandi all over the internet in the white dress with the deep plunging neckline that she wore in the first two board meetings which was kind of an inappropriate dress so I remembered it, getting out of a black car in NYC obviously during the time she was wearing that same dress. And she was wasted and the crotch shot was 100 times worse than the tampon one. It was all over twitter. Then I went out for the day, came back and poof! Not a trace. Can people do that? I saw it in Kenya and Kate Gosselin’s twitter feed. And other places. Weird.

She is not a professional in any way. I have panic attacks and I am not convinced Brandi had a panic attack. I just think she needed some wine, etc. most of her phone calls seemed to be about her bitching about how she was ha doing the stress.

I was so glad that Kenya piped in with the “We’ve all been through a lot” response, because that was serious bullshit.

Maybe Trump would know though. Who else remembers the Ivana Trump vs. Marla Maples showdown on the slopes of Aspen? If Brandi is so resentful of “cheaters” and “homewreckers” (Eileen) why not hold Trump in the same contempt? He’s every bit as bad as Eddie. (Rhetorical – Brandi’s a shallow phony obv.)

She’s been through a lot? What about Ivanka. And then the other one, that you left with no alimony. She’s been through a lot. So that is the new truth now. Her bio has changed from being a make-up artist while married to Eddie, to being a hot shot model in Europe, of which there consistently is no evidence. She even said in her book that they liked her body, butta face. Oops. I’m, sure she didn’t mean to let that slip out. She was whoring and drugging around Europe while getting the occasional job and living in hostels. Then when she met Eddie, she was living with some guy for free in exchange for arm candy and who knows what else.

Actually, Marla left him. After his divorce with Ivana, he had an ironclad preup. Marla was the one who kept their daughter away. Ivana warned her but she didn’t listen. Sadly, when Milania gets older, Trump will trade her in for a newer model too.

Brandi vs. millions of other women who’ve been cheated on → I imagine most of those women didn’t blur the lines by bringing home “hot” babes to make-out with in front of (their) husbands! If a man occasionally brought home other men to make-out with in front of their wives — who would then blame them (or be shocked) when they did the same thing without the wives watching?!

Meh I REALLY dislike fundraising tasks – I just don’t see the fun or challenge in a couple of people having access to rich friends, and then most of the others being in an industry that doesn’t provide that access.

“Ian hating Brandi” is a little ridic – he went far out of his way to be complimentary to everyone and stopping gossip, albeit ruining the drama.

Terrell was lazy as fuck and didnt do anything the entire show but perpetuate the stereotype of athletes intelligence, really the only person so far I was glad to see go.

I would love to know what specific symptoms Brandi had concerning her panic attack. Didn’t she tell Ian she was having one. I think people are confused on what a panic attack really is. When she said that to Ian she obviously was not having one. She may have been extremely stressed….but panic attack? When having one, a person feels like they are having a heart attack. Can hardly catch their breath. The room spins. And they certainly cannot hold a conversation as well as look like they are ok. In other words…you would know they are having grave difficulties. Now, I am no expert . I am going by what I have seen when a person was having one…and it didn’t look like Brandi. But if I am wrong I would appreciate someone with the real experience of having them to set me straight. I hate being misinformed. And I don’t want to misinform others.

And yet you did. I have frequent panic attacks. Some are worse than others. I cannot judge whether or not Brandi was having a panic attack by watching her on a TV show. My professional assessment is that she was. Probably not a very bad one, but they are all bad.

Having a panic attack in public is the worst feeling ever. Having cameras there would only make it worse. You get shaky, your heart is racing, you are short of breath and you are very self conscious that everyone is looking at you and knows you are having one. It’s very embarrassing in the moment. I understand why she left. I understand not wanting to tell anyone she was leaving.

That said, the thing about panic attacks is that they don’t last very long. Brandi has a script for Xanax just as I do that will nip them in the bud. In fact, when I am at home I just ride it out. Because I want to save my Xanax for a public one. You simply take a small dose of Xanax, the panic attack stops within about 20 minutes. You don’t feel high or drugged or sleepy (at the right dose) and you are back to normal. You don’t have to take to the bed for the rest of the day. I’ve had really bad ones where I went to the ER convinced I was having the big one and they just give you more Xanax and a big bill.

Stressful situations can trigger a panic attack or they can just happen for no reason. For some reason, I tend to have them in grocery stores a lot. More than once I have left my cart mid aisle and gone home because the thought of the checkout lane was just not something I could deal with.

So in my opinion. She probably could have returned in an hour with the Xanax kicked in and competed her responsibilities. As for Kenya “causing the panic attack” that is unlikely. However, because Kenya is a huge irritant to Brandi, it certainly would have made it worse. Also, you sort of feel like an idiot when you are having them and being around someone who is your “enemy” and having them see you like that would be really awful.

So I’m sort of supportive of Brandi leaving and getting a glass of wine OR a Xanax, but not for staying out the rest of the day.

Yes and yes to everything you said about panic attacks. There is no proper way to act when having one as you well know. I really wished Brandi had gone back out there after her xanax kicked in instead of using her panic attack as an excuse to take the rest of the day off. It made her look weak/weaker.

I’m with TT on this one. It’s extremely difficult to explain panic attacks to folks who have never experienced them. I’m not a Brandi fan, but I certainly understand the need to leave the group and go back to the hotel for a glass of wine or two (especially if you’re used to self medicating). Maybe she was uncomfortable returning to the task while under the influence.

Agree with all of that information. I have, more than once, had public panic attacks and when you break down in tears, can’t catch your breath and are in the middle of a crowded restaurant, it makes it 100 times worse because people don’t know what to do and are offering to call an ambulance, 911, and trying to help. I can only imagine how horrible it is with cameras in your face.

I still hate Brandi, but I can sympathize with her on this matter.

I agree. I’m not a Brandi fan, but I would think feeling the beginning of a panic attack while on camera would only make the stress worse…..making the panic attack worse. I think she was smart to leave without telling anyone, and calling from her hotel. If she had stayed, they would have filmed the whole thing…that, I think, would be embarrassing. People who have never had a panic attack or a PTSD episode just don’t get it. How can they?

She did the right thing, and managed to bring in lots of money, too.

I haven’t looked at the research behind this but I suspect people have panic attacks in grocery and department stores more than other places because there is very little air exchange taking place. The carbon is higher and we tend to spend more time in the place and standing in the place. You are getting less oxygen to the brain, then some people start to feel overwhelmed or stressed or the low oxygen mimics these symptoms and panic ensues. If you find that these two places tend to be triggers, you can spend less time when you go, or go outside and come back in to replenish your O2 levels. Regarding the show, Brandi may drink to help relieve anxiety. I’m not saying it is right, I am saying that she may be self-medicating and it resulted in an addiction. She may have needed a drink and used a panic attack as the reason to leave. When you have two Mental Health issues, it becomes hard to know which one is driving the train.

Was I the only one bothered by Kenya’s snarky comments to Brandi about popping out her butt and arching her back – more, more! That was so clearly shade and Brandi knew it. Then take off your jacket, etc – I agree with Kenya on that one. Brandi was gorgeous in the photo shoot, I don’t know why she would be insecure, seems like Kenya got to her. Truth is they are both gorgeous women, although quite different body types. Kenya is voluptuous and curvy – all woman. Brandi, more athletic and lanky. It bothered me that Kenya thought her looks were so far superior. They’re not – it’s just a matter of taste. Get over your stallion booty!

Kenya was correct in her corrections of Brandi’s poses. But I do think she got great delight in directing her. And you are right, some men would be more attracted to Brandi than Kenya.

I think posing in a bra with a dish rag around your waist has nothing to do with sex appeal, which is exactly why (in my opinion) I as a reader of Cosmo Mag would rather have seen Kenya pose. But because Brandi would rather pose like that than to let Kenya do it, everything looked a hot mess. Not to mention the two athletes posing completely covered up. How could anyone see the point of the ad. Anyway, I think I want Ian to win.

You see a lot more Brandi types than Kenya types in Cosmo. But the fact this was a fitness task and they had someone with a FITNESS TAPE that was not featured was crazy to me. Kenya’s body is very toned. I thought the whole Olympians coaching her thing would have been good. Kenya can exude the sex appeal while doing actual exercise poses with the coaches directing her on the exact steps for each exercise. They had a great concept. They just didn’t execute it.

I’ll never forget Kenya’s ass when she posed for Cynthia’s calendar in that, what I call, atlas pose. (Bent over, one leg up, ass looking like a big Christmas ham. ) Her ass was awe-inspiring. Kim K’s ass (break the internet) made me sick to my stomach. Kim looks deformed. Kenya, well formed. God, I sound like an ass man. Actually neither!

Panic attacks are difficult to understand if one has not had them. I had “Panic Disorder” for several years when I was younger. I thought I was insane. In the middle of the night I would sometimes be so frightened that I thought I was dying. At one point in time, I was completely agoraphobic, could not leave the house at night and for a short period of time, I did not go out at all. I was lucky to have eventually been able to move past it,with a lot of help. I think a lot of people say they are having a panic attack, when they are merely having an anxiety attack. There is a difference, a big difference actually. I am not in Brandi’s head so I will refrain from judging what she felt on that particular day. Both attacks are equally uncomfortable and scary, but a panic attack is almost uncontrollable. I hope she does not rely too heavily on the benzos. they are hard to leave behind.

Just wondering if anyone else got the feeling Geraldo may have said something homophobic to Lorenzo when L touched him? Just the way it was edited. And the way he recoiled in disgust from the second touch. Why did they edit out the whole of what he said? If he just said “fucking” as in “don’t fucking touch me”, we would have heard “don’t *bleep* touch me”. Know what I mean? I have a feeling he said something like “don’t give me that gay shit” or something. Anyone else? Am I crazy?

Yes. You are crazy. Did you miss him sexually molesting Johnny Damon in a later scene?
