Kandi Buruss posted a rare RHOA blog this week to catch us up on her life and give her side of this season’s sex party gone wrong. At least there was no all out brawling like last year. Kandi explains how hard it is to see herself fighting with Sharon after she passed away. She also explains why she did not go see Nene in Cinderella. As for the party, she was surprised that Nene seemed so unfriendly to everyone since she believed they had all patched up their differences.
Here is an excerpt from her Bravo Blog:
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I haven’t blogged for a while. The end of my year really sucked to be honest, and I didn’t feel up to blogging. Every time an episode aired someone in my family was upset about something. It’s crazy doing this show, because whenever a disagreement happens although you get past it, you end up having tension all over again when it airs on TV.
Losing Todd’s mom, Sharon, just really took us down. Losing someone that you love and care about is already hard, but to go through it and have to watch yourself arguing with them on TV is even worse. FYI, Sharon and I were in a great place as soon as the argument was over. The very next day we took her to Cynthia’s fashion show and also caught Cinderella on Broadway. That was prior to NeNe starring in it. Side bar: I actually was planning on going back to see NeNe in the show, but after Sharon passed, we just didn’t feel up to going. Our only trip to NY after Sharon’s death was to clear out Sharon’s apartment, and we went to an event and a game with my friend/lawyer that had already been planned a few months prior. We didn’t even go on our annual family vacation for the holidays. I’m telling you this, because I have seen multiple tweets asking why I didn’t go support her. Well, now you know. Anyway, 2014 started out great but the ending sucked. Looking forward to an amazing 2015.
As for my party… Let me start off by saying I know how to throw great parties. The food and decor were on point! Dr. Rachael and I had some great games that we had put together for the ladies. It was supposed to be a really fun time, but a couple of things went wrong. The first awkward moment for me was when Dr. Rachael asked Cynthia and NeNe to be bonded together, because NeNe took offense to it. She acted like we were purposely trying to upset her or something. I was confused, because when Cynthia and Porsha first got there, they told me that they had all went to lunch and had worked through their issues, so I didn’t understand why NeNe was so bothered by us choosing her and Cynthia for the game. When NeNe expressed how she felt, then Cynthia got upset as well, so that wasn’t good. I tried to hurry up and change it to NeNe and Claudia so that we could keep the fun going, but it seemed like NeNe wasn’t quite feeling her either…but she went along with it. At that point I thought we would be cool.
But then my friend Gocha let Demetria know that she had dated Roger Bobb. OK, let me give you the back story. For everyone that tweeted saying Kandi must have known she dated Roger Bobb, the answer is yes. Of course I knew, BUT I wasn’t trying to set Demetria up. Carmon told me right before the party started that she had also invited our friends Toby and Gocha as well as a couple more people who couldn’t make it. I said to her that I didn’t know if it was a good idea for Gocha to come because she used to date Roger and Demetria was coming. Then Carmon asked me if she should call and tell Gocha not to come. I said not to do that because I didn’t even know Demetria that well, and it didn’t seem cool for me to tell Gocha, someone that I hang out with a lot, that she couldn’t come because Demetria, someone that I was just getting to know, was coming. It shouldn’t have been a big deal, because it had been a year from the date of the party since Gocha dated Roger, and on top of that Gocha was happy in a relationship. Unfortunately, as soon as Demetria said she was dating Roger Bobb for 8 years that was the end of party. Nobody said their man’s name but Demetria. Not to say that she shouldn’t. I guess when you’re in love, you should scream his name for the world to hear. I was mad because I didn’t want the party to end that quickly. I had a whole bunch of new Bedroom Kandi products that I wanted to show the girls. But oh well… Anyway, since the party Demetria and I have gotten to know each other better, and I think she’s a nice person. For now on I’ll try to just keep her and Gocha on separate guest list.
Aww poor Kandi. She couldn’t debut her new line of sex toys for free on RHOA. I guess she’ll have to do it the old fashioned way.
That’s right Kandi – It was NOT your fault. No, Not Ever YOUR fault. lol
I feel bad for Demetria, but I’m glad Gocha saved us from seeing Kandi’s “new” toy line.
It was a very strange party. Did anyone notice that Nene said to Kandi, ‘Nice House,” when she arrived. But the party room was curtained off and staged like a hotel conference room or something. Then there was all that food, shaffers full just for a few woman? If I didn’t know better, and I am talking out of my ass here, Kandi very well may have been buttering up the production and film crew to ensure her new sex toy line got great coverage and would escape the cutting room floor. She’s no dummy. Big fancy high production dildo roll out. Thanks Gocha!
I heard that, too. I’m thinking maybe this party was in the other/guest house? It makes sense to me, anyway. I think last year, the housewarming party was in the big house and the smaller one wasn’t ready at that time.
I certainly don’t know but Nene’s comment was odd. And the room did have a more generic feel to it.
ROTFL Yes thanks Gocha fo saving us from enduring the high production dildo roll-out
Mandi, your explanation for your shit stirring that Todd called you out on saying why are you starting drama between your mama and Sharon is the same shit you stirred up between Demetria and Gocha, like the shit you stirred up between Todd and you manager AND Carmen and Todd. Kandi you are an arrogant $hit stirrer. Mama Joyce JR…..STFU..that is the most elementary excuse for inviting drama I have ever heard from a songwriter. Oh I forgot, Scrubs..your Grammy song was elementary lyrics too….Bye Kandi…the sneaky troublemaking side I always blogged to you about is finally showing. I never liked you. you are one of those people that create s*** around you and then act like you don’t have anything to do with it. RUN TODD AND TAKE YOUR DAUGHTER. RILEY LOOKS MISERABLE.
Kandi not Mandi.
Oh Mandy, well you came and came without taking and I sent you away.
True. She makes me sick. She is like a kid who throws rocks and then hides her hand. She always screaming about her old unhappy mammy. Rude old bat. She pimping her daughter big time. All Kandi does is buy the bats love. So sad to have lost Sharon. Kandi was rude to her and nasty. I would have loved to see Sharon follow through and sue that Bitch for slander.
Kandi should take some of that money and buy some decent clothes, lose some weight and perhaps a new face. Ugh.
Okay, yeah, I agree with a lot of what you said, but I’m starting to think that maybe the reason why Kandi dresses so dumpy is because she gained weight and doesn’t know how to dress to flatter her body anymore. I mean, she’s not HUGE beyond help–not at all. She just needs someone to show her that she, too, can look pretty and feminine and even sexy with the right cuts!
It also kind of seems like she is doing a frumpier version of her old wardrobe from early RHOA days, that kind of tomboy/punk look when she had the shorter hair, but the problem is, she’s older and it doesn’t flatter her anymore.
Now, if she’d PLEASE ditch the Mama Joyce hair… It isn’t doing her any favors.
She writes like she talks. I wish Bravo terminated her contract when Sheree Whitfield was terminated. Yuck
And her taste in interior design is hideous. My eyes hurt after watching her in one of her rooms at home or office. Good Gawd, it’s ugly.
Much like her. Lol!
Sorry, I’ve been down on Riley since she acted like a spoiled little bitch, being so mean to Todd’s daughter, Kayla.
And I’m still asking… Where did Kayla go???
Riley is still a child. Hopefully, she will continue to excel in school and leave the nest. Yes, she is spoiled nothing wrong with that. I was spoiled. She is a good child who understands the dangers of repeating some of her mother’s mistakes. Riley is more mature than her mother and grandmother. Riley knows the importance of an education and being independent. I don’t see Riley having a child out of wedlock or supporting losers. I credit Kandi for instilling the positive traits.
Do you actually know Riley? Or are you basing your assessment of her on the 3 minutes she’s been on your TV?

I would be all for Kandi keeping Mama Joyce off the screen. I think that would be a good start to family harmony.
Why is everything ALWAYS so completely outside Kandi’s control?
Wonder if anyone would go for a “do-over”?
You missed your chance to humiliate Kenya for not having a man. Awww. Who does that? Oh well, you got Demetria at least, she may not have a man either! Love calling Todd Napoleon, can’t stand that little whiner! I guess the best thing about nene is Gregg.
Kandi only cares about Kandi, and Joyce. Todd and the rest of the world can fuck themselves.
Oh you forgot Riley!
Thanks, Angel. Yes, and Riley too. Three people and the rest of the world can fuck themselves. Gotta love world fucking Kandi. Not really.
Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Todd. His attitude towards the pre-nup agreement turned me off.
I realize Kandi has had some success with her sex toy line and wants to showcase her brand, but must we be forced to endure one of her sex parties every season? I’m no prude, nor am I easily shocked, but all of that at her parties is just sooooooo ewwwwgie and nasty in the way she presents it. Ugh.
I’m not a prude either but I will never be convinced by Kandi Buruss I need her sex toys or anyone else’s. I’m fine with my husband. I doubt Todd uses that crap either.
I find it uncomfortable – so maybe I am a prude. But really how many woman do you know that go around acting like this is just an everyday conversation for the public?
No, drinkthediamondwater, you have a choice, when Kandi comes on turn your TV off and I can assure you will not be forced to watch it. All you ladies stop watching the show since you have do much negativity about. The remote is in your hand!
Oh, okay, thank you, GW, I wasn’t sure what we were allowed to comment on in the “comments” section here. I mean, WTF?
To refer to any woman of color as being somewhat like a slave on a plantation is offensive. These are older woman who I’m sure have dealt with racism on many occasions since they are obviously of the segregation era. Your opinion is your own and you are intitled to it. But a comment like that left without opposition opens the door to more inappropriate portrayals of black women. I do not agree with the way that the woman acted in a lot of situations on the show and I agree with you there. I just feel like a better choice of words might have been used.
@ cheychey. I disagree . The slave comment does not open the door to more inappropriate portrayals of women of color . What opens the door to negative portrayals of women of color is : said women of color not being able to speak proper English, behaving like untrained animals ( no impulse control ) the bickering for no reason , the jealousy ( for no reason except beauty ) the pulling each others characters down ( crabs in a barrel ) the ridicuous blonde wigs and makeup ( nene in particular ) the absence of humility , the constant saying out loud which designer they are wearing and how much they paid for it . You know the absence of any class or decorum . I could go on and on but I’m sure you get my point .
If said women of color were not behaving like uneducated no class fools editing would not and could not make them look bad .
I don’t understand this, you can’t say this and you can’t say that, that’s all of a sudden being imposed on free speech . If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck … It’s a duck ..
If women of color are offended and ashamed of these people’s behavior they should stop watching . If white people (cause that’s really all of you people’s contention , never mind all the other nations) from watching these shows believe that this is the way that all people of color behave . SO WHAT! You know it isn’t true you know you don’t behave that way! Why care what they think ! If they believe all people of color act this way It means they are under exposed . Live your life . This constant complaining won’t change anyone opinion .
I agree 100% O.O. You told no lies.
O.O, I happen to be a black woman and i agree with your sentiments COMPLETELY. I am sick and tired of everyone having to muzzle every word they say/write for fear of “offending” someone. To see the fatal end results of such attempts at enforced censorship, we need only look to events in France.
As for RHOA, what offends ME is grown folks acting like damned fools on international television, all for the sake of collecting a paycheck. That, and Nene’s George Washington wigs and lack of edges, of course.
100 % agree
Yup! Especially about people must believe all women of color act that way. No, a lot of people are very aware that RHOA is not representative of the entire race, class, and community. I mean, I doubt many people think that every divorced black woman in ATL has an 8,000 square ft. house.
My (white) older relatives who were born, bred and never left their log cabins in the heart of Alabama all speak this way — complete with the blesses, the amens, the mmmmhmmm’s, The Lord have mercies — I think it’s more of an old school southern culture than a race thing.
Kandi bores me, yawn
As I stated before~IMHO, Kandi set Demetria up by inviting her friend, Ms. Gocha, to the party. Obviously, Kandi, Nene, Phaedra, and Carmon knew that Gocha had been involved with Roger Bob and LaLa’s cousin Dice. Kandi knew Dr. Rachelle would do the ice breaker to introduced everyone’s relationship status. She assumed that Demetria would mention dating Roger Bob (just like Kandi previously brought up AJ or Todd Tucker), and then Gocha would blind side Demetria with the news that she too had dated him. These hags could not wait for the moment when Gocha would spill the tea about her involvement with Roger Bob. Nene gloated over Demetria’s humiliation; Kandi realized her scheme did not go as planned and pulled out her best Aunt Bertha face; Phaedra’s silence was deafening; and Carmon cackled with laughter from being tickled pink by it all. It takes a real cold hearted conniving bitch to set up another woman who she hardly knows to be deliberately hurt, humiliated, and ambushed by a group of strangers. Transparent shallow Kandi will reap everything she has sown. She will not be able to explain or cry her way out of her actions forever. I doubt that Roger Bob or Tyler Perry will help her with another one of her wack plays after this fiasco.
I thought Kenya was the one who was laughing. Have to watch that part again, but I agree, this was a setup. Everything about these shows are contrived.
@Gemini~You are correct that Kenya inappropriately laughed in Demetria’s face and loved sipping the tea. However, the camera panned to the left, and then caught Carmon bent over while holding her hand over her face and laughing nearly to tears at the situation. Demetria was caught like a deer in the headlights, and left as she should have. The shade of it all! Um hum….
They did show Kenya laughing but that also could have been the way it was edited to make it look like she was laughing at Demetria. I’m not saying she didn’t, I’m just saying that the editing in that scene seemed a little weird in general.
You are so right….Kandi allowing viewers to see how tacky she and her business is, as well as her resistance to Todd who is trying to elevate her $hitlin status production company and her drugged out mamma acting as CEO over her money…why would Tyler Perry Productions, Oprah’s network or any other truly successful production company want to do business with her after seeing her cheap stage set play, her tacky as wedding and her ghetto ran staff. She should be using Bravo as a platform to elevate her production skills. NOT this boughetto girl, she is using very valuable marketing time to create parties to stir up mess and sell sex toys that can be bought around the corner. Someone said Kandi had great marketing skis, lmao, How when she looks dumber every Sunday. Kandi won’t last long if Don Juan ever leaves her who is going to run the company? Scarface Cameronor Mamma Joyces boyfriend? She is as tacky as her clothes, her hair, and her furniture. All around TACKY. No one likes to do business with tacky. No one!
WOW.
I think I’m alone here, but I feel that Todd could whip that shitshow of a company into shape. Though I do think he’s smart taking jobs far, far away from Atlanta!
Don Juan doesn’t impress me–his name alone is a joke! What am I missing about him?
@Simone~you said that right. I’m glad you got it off your chest. WHEW!!
When my mother died in NY I went to see Julie Andrews starring in Victor/Victoria on Broadway. If Kandi had wanted to see nene in Cinderella, she’d have seen nene in Cinderella. I don’t buy it.
Why would any of them go and support nene . She never supports any of their endeavors . She did not go to kandi’s play . Way back when nene was supposed to host the opening of bar one nene came hours late . They we’re counting on her and she came at the end . If she does show up all she does is speak ill of and make fun of whatever is going on . She doesn’t deserve any of their support.
NeNe is a professional victim.
Kandi retaliated on NeNe because NeNe was too busy to be in her play. Lol!
Her top priority was her grieving husband not a person who she casted on a show with who doesn’t see as a friend in real life and feels Kandi is “not on her level”. The only reason she even talks to Kandi is because Kandi will film with any one.
You cannot understand her being upset about Ms. Sharon? Particularly after clearing out her apartment?
@cheychey you are entitled your opinion. My comment was not meant to offend. One has to grant permission to be offended or insulted.
I’m of West Indian and Jewish descent. I do not find anything shameful about one aspect of both parents’ lineage. I do not possess a slave mentality nor an inferiority complex.
I do not believe nor ascribe to the mindset that a television show should be representative of “black women” or any other group. The women on the Housewives shows are individuals. It is pure entertainment.
@sissy . Exactly
@sissy I replied above re being offended by your comment . (It’s in moderation )I didn’t need to because you covered the topic much better than I did
She and her mother both should feel awful for how they treated Sharon. I’m not sure I believe her but at least she has the sense over her witch of a mother to realize she SHOULD.
I’m not sure Kandi knows what it means to move past a topic of discussion! I think Sharon got stuff off her chest but it seems she also doesn’t have ill will so she was able to talk and laugh with kandi! If they really had gotten past it there wouldn’t be tension when it surfaced again! Kandi doesn’t see the error of her ways and that is a big source of contention with her and todd! Also todd seems very business like when at work kandi is laid back! I wouldn’t say he is a drill sergeant but he gets thing done and in a timely manner! I appreciate working with someone like that, kandi and the little assistant don’t! I still say they need iyanla!
I glad to here that maybe your comments were not meant to be vicious towards any group. If you walk up to me and call me fat or ugly those words are offensive and insulting. I certainly would not grant you the power to controll my feelings about it. But I’m sure we can both agree that words from others unless your heartless, do have the ability to hurt people. Furthermore there is no shame in being black or having forefathers who were slaves. I am proud to have former slaves as part of my heritage as they help build this country. I do not however find com pairing a group of black woman to slaves funny nor do I see the comparison to these women. What in their behavior did you find to be like that of plantation slaves. I as a rule think Kandi’s mom and aunts are often rude, disrespectful and gossipy. Which of those qualities are slave like mentality. Maybe you had some other slave qualities you might want to share. I mean I could just be confused as to what slaves act like. But as far as I know from reading, studying and family stories slaves were submissive, hard working, mistreated human beings. So I really don’t understand where your coming from with your comment or others who want to chime in about it. I’m sure your weren’t purposely trying to offend anyone I just felt as though I should express how I felt about it.
@cheychey I “hear” you loud and clear. Joyce and her sisters are reminiscent of slave dialect. Have you ever read any works by Count Cullen? I would recommend some of his works for starters.
I don’t reside in a sterile vacuum of political correctness. When an adult is emotionally secure and knowledgeable of history from a variety points of view they are not so vulnerable to being “offended.”
Whenever Joyce and her sisters are speaking I have to turn on the closed captioning so I will not miss any of their dialogue. I had to use close captioning for the one episode I watched of Honey Boo Boo.
Countee Cullen I meant.
@sissy . Bwhahahahahaha hahahahaha . Well, that was a clear and concise answer.
As I stated before I am well read on the subject if slavery but I do appreciate you enlightening me with an author I have not read , so for that thank you. You are never to d to learn. I however did not find them at all hard too understand nor did I feel like they spoke like slaves. Just sound like set country women. It might surprise you to know that many black woman if their age were not of financial means to go to the best schools and certainly not college. The area you live in also has something to do with your dialect.when people grow up in the ghetto they have some of their own words or specific tones just as people from the Deep South or up north do as well. It makes us all unique. Maybe try to understand that instead of along an incredibly racial comment about it.
I’m sorry but I felt the comment was very racially inappropriate, if you can’t understand them fine then say that. But to call any black woman a plantation slave for any reason shows a lack of respect for others cultures and the hardships they went thru. You being part Jewish as you said I would think you would understAnd the sensitivity of some words and subject matter to people. You sound very intelegent and I don’t mean to sound at all condescending to anyone. I’m sure I am not as educated as many on here but I do have air of life experiences and have found that some of the poorest, least educated poeple with the least to give, offer up the most.
of the least educated
My personal pet peeve is when people who are not of a minority are offended on behalf of the minority. It’s basically saying, “I have more power to defend the poor minority being offended. And I decide what should offend them.” Take a seat. BTW You consistently spell intelligent wrong while pointing PC liberal shit at other people. In your attempt to be “politically correct” in this post you really just manage to offend.
Chill, cheychey. Other people can have their views, too! And people might even know things you don’t! And vice versa! But no one is here trying to aggregate you.
Aggravate. Not aggregate!
(I’m in moderation anyways.)
You know Kandi, some of the viewers are intelligent, right? And we’ve ALL sat on the phone with a girlfriend of two, in the “honeychile, let me tell you” zone. You really WANT the blog-readers to believe you had NO clue that Gocha was gonna GOTCHA Demetria? Really??? Don’t undermine the public’s intelligence like that. It’s demeaning. Yes, we know, you done read those Tweets while “it” was airing, readng what folks wrote about you being a low-key sh*t-starter, and sneaky and messy, etc. So you implement damage-control. Stop! Ain’t a chic alive that don’t [or haven’t held] hold court on the phone with her gal-pals about a party she’s planning + the latest tea. Surely, you told her about “Demtria currently openly claiming Roger Bobb”. At which point, Gocha must have been like “When? Really? Hmmph, when can you put us in the same room together? So, I can GET her TOGETHER.” Kandi, just messy! Not gonna disrespect Mama Joyce, but let’s just say DNA don’t lie! In all reflective truth, not disrespecting you. It’s truth.
And here’s the rub, Hypocrisy: You were pissed when Natalie did the same to you, brought up how Todd dated her friend, etc. And you turn around and orchestrate the ‘same kind of happening’ to someone else? And not to Natalie [who pissed you off], but to ‘someone who never wronged you’…from what was aired, and what you wrote above “she’s nice.” Then Why? For ratings? Bravo’s brass approval? To show loyalty to your chum, Gocha? Why? To publicly humiliate anyone, on national TV, that has NEVER wronged you must carry serious Karma. Not saying that one day some woman wil bring you some “news” about your man, just saying: Karma is Real. The energy you put out gotta return to its source one day.
And not even a “Demtria” fan, far from. Just a fan of balanced justice and as corny as this might be in today’s world: Also a fan of basic humanitarianism.
P.S. I forget the name now: But the commenter above that wrote about she not getting the chance to advertise her sex products and issued a backhanded thank you to Gocha. I concur! Lol… Incredible insight. 🙂
@Not That Kenya~ thanks for the read, 100% accurate.
Good point!
Okay, the last comment I wrote a tad lengthy. If TT finds it to be zzzzz’s inspired, it may not post [this one either. Lol.. while much shorter, it still may go into mod’s too], just wanna reiterate, please recall that “Natalie” lady, Christopher Williams’ wife [season 6]. Think back to what pissed Kandi off about Natalie’s share at that winery… Mmmhmmm, hypocrisy! She did the same, or set up the same at Demetria’s expense this season. #hypocrisy. I can’t!
@NotThat Kenya~I thought the same thing. Let’s not forget how Kandi made a toast about, “Todd (getting a) come up because (she) was a bad bitch.” Then there was the fight with Natalie at the pillow talk party. Kandi likes to throw rocks and then hide her hands. People in glass houses should not throw stones.
@goldenindigo: Exactly! She is super sensitive when it comes to areas of her man, mama, and child. As though she should be…we all are. But… Look, do you recall those tears she shedded when Todd just “mentioned” he’d have to go out of town for work, last season, I believe it was, they were at the table talking. She, of ALL PEOPLE, is way too sensitive to ever risk incurring that kind of ill karma. For argument’s sake, let’s just say that she is telling the whole truth in the blog she wrote above, then why not check Gocha right then & there! Or at least pull her to the side to “talk to her” about what she just did? Kandi’s expression didn’t look the least bit shocked when Gocha “shared” that sentilating share at her party. The ego is impulsive and “things” can just slip out, we know. But Gocha appeared composed and in total self-control when she uttered it. Prepared, ready to INFORM. And the question was prodded, Demetria just didn’t volunteer her man’s name and “talents” in that particular moment. Yeah, a set up. Pre-meditated. You know what else? Not calling Gocha money-hungry or anything, don’t know her personally. But in this capitalistic society? Who’d wanna jeopardize a friendship with a real rich b*tch by ruining her party or putting a damper on it…without her fore-notice. Uh, yeah, over the phone, Gocha got Kandi’s blessing to “inform” Demetria about her former Bobb connection. Clearly, she wouldn’t care about hurting Demetria, but she’s surely care about upsetting the host in her house. Again, Kandi, can it. We don’t believe you, not fully, as it pertains to this blog of yours above.
Did Kandi follow Demetria out when she left the party? I know Cynthia did, but the hostess certainly should have. I can’t remember.
I am so bored every time the subject of Kandi’s sex toys comes up, or another sex-toy party, or Kandi Koated Nights … Bravo, is this the best you can do? Nothing else of interest comes to mind? I am bored silly with the “trips” the women go on (all HW franchises, not just RHOA) too … same old, same old … I haven’t seen this episode yet, and already I am nodding off …
The photo of Kandi with her headpiece and facial expression says so much about her; unfortunately for her, not at all flattering. (Surely she did not approve its release. Right? I hope?)
Beyond that, I would not have sat here to watch these woman examine the toys, or describe or discuss them. I don’t mind campy or bawdy fun, BUT on-air toy exploration, discusson about use/application is too grahic for RHO__ episodes. It’s just more evidence, that Kandi is much more Joyce’s daughter than I/we previousy ever thought. The more I get to know of and about her, the more I dislike her and what she will do based on the importance she places on money, and on her relationship with that vile woman, Joyce.

What a class act.
I’ve gone to great lengths to explain the moderation issues. I’ve offered suggestions. I’ve made it clear that you are not being deliberately targeted and it’s an issue that is negatively effecting all of us.
I’m not sure what more I can do to appease you.

_____________
First, please take note that I limited my report of yet another errant sort to
the matter of the errant sort. You, however, replied by claiming that I was whining. Hardly true, adult like or civil; not vaguely respectful, nor remotely professional.
In regard to “it’s an issue that is negatively effecting all of us”, the fact is you sung a different tune to me (accompanied by “top secrets” which I promised to honor) with in the past week! In emails three – four – five days ago, proudly shated that you recently identified and corrected a factor which created moderation issues which dogged Micheal’s posts, and then you offered an explanation, which implied that your/WP system settings were compiled/established by composing or adjusting a series of rules and ‘trigger values/words’, which essentially instructs your blog system about how to receive/react/load/sort user posts. You also stated that you would continue to check the system for whatever errant/conflicting rules or trigger terms, which may be problematic. Then, pursuant to your explanation, you suggested trying shorter posts to lower probability of tagging posts for moderation, and cease inputting numeric symbols in the post text field. I complied, but meanwhile also noted that the ratio of my moderated posts *increased* , which included much shorter posts and one, maybe two posts which contained no numeric symbols OR expression of numbers by word actually were placed in moderation status. (I recall being very impressed and encouraged by you can-do approach.) Then, later after I specifically identified a short non numeric posts as still mis-sorted to moderation again, you were neither civil, nnor amusing.
Quite contrary to your latest claim/bit of fiction, you essentially stated via email that NOT all of us are affected by unwarranted placement of posts into moderatkon by sharing that you identified the glitch(es), which plagued a single, specific user’s posts, and you also offered specific instructions to hopefully curtail or ideally cease misdirected posts into moderation status.
About your concern about what might “appease” me: Truthfulness always, in light of what you claimed about the moderation sort issue via email THEN, versus what you claim here/NOW, and secondly, your ongoing cessation of personal attacks, which have ranged from comments questioning my orientation and theorizing about my gender, which caused your “favorite” user to offer another but compatible viewpoint (otherwise known as gender and orientation related harassment) to your more recent cheap shots, barbs, and your blog site issue with widespread moderation status mode ‘we’re all in it together’ kumbaya tale.
whine verb \ˈhwīn, ˈwīn\
1. to complain in an annoying way
The very first thing I do the moment I wake up, is moderate comments. The very last thing I do before going to bed is moderate comments. Every single day for the last three years of my life. Some days I am sick, or out of town, or “on vacation” but it remains my habit to begin and end each day in that fashion.
For the past few days, I have felt like dogshit. I have hardly posted anything other than regurgitated Bravo blogs, because I have a fever, a head cold, PMS, cramps and finally I’m bleeding like a stuck pig. I continued to moderate comments upon waking, between cramps and puking throughout the day and before going to bed.
When I lifted my snot-filled head up to moderate comments to find you constant and consistent whining about one of your precious comments taking a bit of extra time to hit the site for the billionth time, it irked me. Particularly since I have bent over backwards to solve the problem that appears to bother you a lot more than all the other people it is happening to.
Perhaps you should read the commenting rules. You are owed nothing here. Neither speedy attention to you comments nor polite discourse. The time has come to either put on your big boy pants and accept the fact that your comments will at times go into moderation, or fuck the hell off to a site that better suits your needs. I will not have any further conversations with you on the subject.
I wanna know who the “favorite user” is! I hope it’s Teecee, but I fear it might be a really annoying certain someone…
Tasos has a case of verbal diarrhea. Need some Pepto? Or is the real problem the stick you have jammed up your a$$?
Frankly TT, I think you have given Tasos way too much time and attention on an idiotic topic. So his comments have to go into moderation for a few minutes. So what? He can do as the rest of us do — type something, then go the hell on about his business while he waits for what he has typed to appear as a post. Period. His writing a paragraphs-long diatribe about having to go into moderation his absurd. You don’t owe him or anyone else an explanation as to how you are feeling, what else is going on in your life, etc. Posting here (or on ANY blog) is a privilege, not a right.
I was thinking the same thing about the above photo. Not a flattering photo at all. The expression on her face is downright ugly, and I’m indifferent on any thoughts about Kandi’s behavior with the exception, that some things are better left unsaid.
“multiple tweets on why she didn’t support nene?” uh, cuz she’s an arrogant bitch. Kandi’s marketing strategy is BRILLIANT!! I just wish it was edited in but I still went to her website! lol You can’t pay for that kind of publicity.
you know Kandi could be explaining why Cynthia had a problem with nene after so long together…she had to relive the hurt.
Kandi is a low down you know what stirrer. She says no drama yet she is always brings the drama with her husband, Mom, Sharon and now Demetria. Her true colors became revealed during her wedding show and continue to expose more of her boughetto self. Her only concern is money and her mom. I’m no prude but don’t want to see bondage and sex parties/toys for my entertainment.
When I first heard Kandi’s tagline I honestly burst out laughing. Um, no one needs to bring the drama, Kandi! You’ve got it covered! And it’s not even interesting drama. I used to really like Kandi, too.
I’m confused, or maybe Kandi is, because she says *after* the dinner she had with Miss Sharon where she yelled at her etc., things were all good, they went to Broadway shows blah blah BUT I sure did see a scene *after* all that where Kandi went and talked all kinds of mess about Miss Sharon to her mom and the Old Lady Gang! She had them ALL riled up! She is so fake & 2 faced.
I stopped watching this mess years ago. They really think we are as small and mindless as these self serving women! Messy and sloppy looks pathetic on supposedly classy older men and women! Boring!!!
@cheychey
I do not think you were being condescending. You did make several spurious inferences in your posts.
How a person develops their dialect is common knowledge. This was never in question. I will continue using my close captioning when I encounter Joyce and her sisters’ slave-like banter.
I could post much more but it would obliterate the brick wall of projection.
My mother is 1/2 black, my husband is black and my children are biracial as well so clearly I have a horse in this race. When people that are racist see my mother they don’t see the white 1/2 they only concentrate on the black. My views are not at all political in nature but my personal feelings. It stems from ignorance that I have experienced towards people of color and myself from being married to a black man so yes I think I more than qualify. I apologize for my spelling mistakes and my passion for the issue it’s important to me.
Cheychey, you seem left out here all alone. And before anyone starts, NO, I am NOT defending Mama Joyce and any of the, what are they called? “Old Lady Gang’s” bad behavour; yet, one of them I really like, the one with the chubbier cheeks, is it “Bertha?” Anyhoo, before I replied here, wanted to do some quick research on the topic [how slaves/slavewoman emoted/expressed], came across a Terrie M. Williams video, and she spoke to their silence, FORCED SILENCE. They weren’t afforded the loud luxury of emoting or expressing in any way liken to how Mama Joyce does or her sisters do today. That 1st Amendment was not extended to slaves. Cheychey, in J. California Cooper’s books she speaks to how if anyone is ashamed of the slave-ancestors is a damn fool! And you wrote how you’re not above, which was very impressive…to me. Said to myself “She must be familar with Cooper’s work. Or, maybe not…making it even more impressive. IMO, the only shame should be extended to the slave-master. ‘Will also check out Cullen’s work. Thanks for that recommendation, to the commenter above. Chey, not sure if TT will permit this post, it may go into moderation…but it was written, thus the AKR got it, hopefully it’ll send the warm sentiment your way. Ashe.
And please, no offense to anyone else. Not competing here. No prize, no inspiration to compete.
TT, if you have a humanitarian cord, one that strums strong when injustices are present, you don’t have to be from that race, or what’s labeled as a minority to take a stand. Jon Stewert does it a lot as does Bill Maher, among others. Signing off in Peace. <3
It seems on RHOA nothing is ever Kandi fault or not in her control. Kandi could have said to Gocha “do not mention Bob” if she did not want to disinvite her. Or she could have prepared Demetria for the bombshell Gocha may decide to drop.
Demetria should have found Todd’s ex girlfriend, you know the one who he was living with when him and Kandi started dating. The way Todd’s ex dogged Kandi on Facebook, I am sure she would have loved to be on the show. Kandi sugared momma Todd until he left her for Kandi. Demetria should have exhibited GAME and had her own party and invited the ex and the Tucker’s, she would have a peach now. I am a Scorpio, not going to cry, I am going to get even,lol..Demetria has no swag, I see why she did not make the cut.
So, are you saying Todd is only with Kandi for money?
I sense Todd genuinely loves and cares about Kandi. Would he be with her if she were not wealthy? I surmise he would date her but not marry her. The money is added “bonus” for Todd.
Kandi based on her own words is not accustomed to a healthy relationship. Joyce and the male father figures did not reflect a positive relationship although Kandi has a good relationship with her father/stepfather featured on the show. Riley’s father is a loser. Kandi supported some of the men she dated. The famous ones she secretly dated them to avoid their spouse from finding out. Kandi has dated a father and his son. She is also accustomed to getting her way (100%) in a relationship. Todd is not going to be her “yes man”. The more she tries to control Todd the more it will negatively impact their marriage. Remaining on the show will not help their union. They should leave Bravo and work on their marriage.
@sissy exactly !
Yep! 100% yes! She is lucky to have Todd. I hope she realizes it before she runs him off.
Family is first and foremost according to Kandi–when will she realize that she chose to add Todd to her family? He is family just like Wicked Witch Joyce and bratty Riley.
I agree with all or at least most of the comments above. Glad that a lot of people can see Kandi for the fake she really is. I don’t know what the perverted pay off it is for her to do other women the way she claims she won’t stand for, to be done to her. She an MJ are setting a bad example for Riley, who I suspect has taken on some of those stupid traits anyway. And if she (KB) honestly thinks those weak-a$$ excuses she gives for doing the backstabbing stuff she does, are really believeable, then she is crazier than what she looks, when she makes those rubber faces. (as only she and Ms Parks-Nida can make) I believe that young lady that was in that group Xcaspe, when she said Kandi was xxtra shady.
If I may (please?), on the sub-subject of ‘MODERATION’, my comments have gone to moderation several times. I’ve never done anything, just waited patiently, and sure enough, they always find their way on the board, every. single. time.
There has even been a time or two 🙂 I almost wish they hadn’t made it out of moderation, but nope, there they were…out of moderation. Sigh.
I HATE that face Kandi always makes! (The one in the top picture.)
I think Todd’s daughter works part-time at a Chic-fila.
PLEASE read the commenting rules.

I actually know Riley. I have met Kandi a few times. It is involves a charity.
Please tell me the charity has something to do with literacy and you are benefiting from free classes.

What does this have to do with anything? If she has a job at a young age, then she is showing some sort of responsibility. If she works at a Chic-Fil-A or at Bob’s Burger Bar, what does this matter? I, for one, do not find that this adds anything to the discourse on this blog.
Also, if one is going to go into deep discussions about slavery and the manner in which a family of mean old ladies speak, perhaps the parties involved should proof-read their post before they hit that button. It is often difficult to understand your point when it is filled with mis-spelled words or other issues.
Where the angels fear to Joanie will surely follow.
A poster asked about Todd’s daughter. My remark was neither positive nor negative about his daughter or her employer. CheyChey discussed slavery. My remark concerned how the sisters sounded like slaves. You are projecting.
Glad you proofread to avoid a misspelling.
@tamaratattles
You wish. I just read your rules.
In the picture above it looks like Kandi just sat down on one of her misplaced toys or a pork chop bone.
@T D Lol!
Hyphens for Joanie.
