The Broadway version of Cinderella closed last night and the entire cast had an emotional final curtain call. Nene was particularly emotional. I have to say, I’m proud of her. Broadway ain’t no joke. Eight shows a week is a grueling schedule. Good for you Nene and congratulations!
Nene was supported by her husband, both of her boys and friends including Porsha Williams!

BROADWAY BABY! I gave the character all I got every Nite that I stepped out on that stage. I am so proud of myself and blessed to have worked with an amazing cast that showed me generosity and kindness! What a bitter sweet moment it was! I will be forever grateful for such an amazing opportunity. #cinderellabroadway
I think it’s nice that a big burly stage hand hand reached to wipe her tears in that photo.
Two thumbs up! LOL!
Bwahahahaha!
Who wrote that for her? I am certain if called to the floor she could neither pronouce nor define tenacity.
Bingo!
Nor can she pronounce Broadway and bridesmaids.. She says, “braw-way” and “bri-may.” Nene has many gifts, but speaking well is not one of them.
I don’t care for Nene but . . . . I’m proud of her too. This is a real Cinderella Story!
Good job Nene…now back to GA and RHOA.
She’s probably crying because yet another one of her acting jobs has come to an end. What she gon’ do now? All she’s got is HW’s. Oh, wait, I forgot, she’s also a producer who is working on reality shows with her own production company. It must be wonderful to be able to do all these things without a lick of training, education or experience (or talent). The only “acting” she does is acting like her ghetto street self.
I think it’s the same for all actors. The end of one job means networking and scrambling for the next; a chaotic and stressful lifestyle. I couldn’t do it but it seems to suit Nene. I heard her sing in the first season of RHOA and hope she will have the opportunity to showcase her lovely voice. Broadway is perfect for her!
Nene – this is your BEGINiING!! Don’t be sad because it is over, be happy it happened and you’re one step closer to your full potential! So proud of you!!!
As TT says, Broadway is no joke. It is a major accomplishment and it will serve her well on her resume. I do not care for her but people can change and grow. It’s not likely in her case, but I’d like to think she can change and grow through the seasons of her life. It is touching and I will just say, Congratulations NeNe for your accomplishment. Let’s all dream Cinderella dreams and that somehow that magic wand that touched her life will make her a new and better person. Life Always gives us an opportunity to change. Let’s see.
NeNe – good job! I hope it opens more doors for you.
Don’t be sad when one door closes another one open ‘s.
I hope she lands another gig. She’ll stay on housewives for the cheque, but you know she’s over it and it can’t be easy.
Hi TT. Love your Blog and read it daily. I have never commented before but I couldn’t resist this time.
Nene should keep this wig.
Can’t stand Nene, but I’m glad she did a fantastic job on Broadway and wish her much success. Hopefully, it’s a humbling experience, because that is HARD WORK!
Oh god.
“I have found my home! BROADWAY BABY!”
Btch please. Everything she tries her big fat man hand at is her “thing” all of a sudden, what she ALWAYS wanted, her true calling. Enough already. Just like her idiotic “designer” life which was a flop..that’s what “she always wanted to do”…yet she designed NOTHING. It looks too similar to other Housewives lines. Nene, Melissa Gorga even has an HSN jewelry line she “designs”.
Fking should’ve called it CinderFELLA with her in it with her cheap ass lace front. Go away already giant. She’s acting like Mariah Carey did about carrying & birthing dembabies – like she did this HUGE AMAZING DIFFICULT thing nobody else has gone through and deserves the highest recognition. Most entrepreneurs I know & have worked with have worked much harder than her one te Broadway stint. Who gives a shit, she did 8 shows a week?! If shit hung I’d fedex her a medal.
Well, aren’t we a bit high and mighty today! You won’t minimize anyone’s accomplishments, but you can’t let someone’s opinion stand without adding your holier-than-thou two cents, huh?
Will there be a Tony nomination to for Nene’s efforts? I am certain she is expecting one. She certainly thinks highly of herself. All I can say is congratulations Nene on your perfect attendance for your six week Broadway run.
She was a replacement, she does not qualify for a Tony Award nomination, only the actress that originated the role would be eligible. Plus this was Cinderella, not Shakespeare, anybody could have played this role.
Um…..she did not actually mean it.
My mother said she was so surprised that she liked Nene so much in the role. I think Nene should focus on these kind of over-the-top roles on Broadway; they lend themselves to her “acting” abilities.
Poor Nene the little tramp who could. How does she get away with her behavior?
Hilarious! LOL!
Please! For all of the ratchet shit Leakes has pulled (her criminal record only documents the times that she was caught), all of the men and women she has bullied and among them, those that she threatened; all of the abusive, bigoted, disgraceful, devious and hateful things that Leakes has done and said, and practically all of them, if not ALL of the people she offended or victimized, who have gone on without her sincere apology, not even a mere expression of her regret, there is absolutely and positively no way that I can compartmentalize my memory of Leakes’ squalid history to praise Leakes and not have pings of guilt and think that doing so is a slight to all the people that Leakes unapologetically victimized and/or offended. That’s what I think and feel about her. If you’re okay with her, more power to you. I don’t wish Nene bad, though I will not praise her either.
Hell, she could have a multi-seasonal weekly VH1 series in which one weekly episode would feature one person, from all she wronged, to describe how Nene wronged him/her, and ONLY feature Nene’s *sincere apology*, without Leakea attempting to rationalize her offense, or manipulating emotions and words to extract an apology from one she offended/victimized. Maybe even have the outspoken and unsinkable Bevy Smith as “MC/Referee” and Marlo Hampton as show “Historian”, who probably knows Nene like the back of her own hand.
My sentiments exactly. Why the praise for working hard for eight weeks? Some of these hypocritical comments remind me of positive reinforcement given to a toddler while potty training. If Nene does get the opportunity to have a career on Broadway, her barbaric and masculine alter ego will make an appearance sooner rather than later and she will torpedo that opportunity like all others.
I give praise where praise is due. In this case it is warranted.
What Nene needs to learn is..
Let another man give you praise, and not your mouth; one who is strange to you, and not your lips. ~Proverbs 27:2

Whoo hoo! Go Tasos!
Nene…take heed to what Michael J. Fox said on his special a few years ago: “I aspire to do the next ‘right thing’ rather than the next thing right.”
Get rid of your character defects. Know that God is real.
Amen.
Maybe Nene should wear this hair color for awhile and leave blond alone for the time being. Despite the issues I have with Ms. Leakes, I am happy that she had a successful run on Broadway because it truly is a tough gig for anybody. What is she going to do now with all that free time on her hands?
She looks great. I’m glad she completed her full run because doing Broadway is really tough. A wonderful accomplishment no one can take away from her. I have to give praise where praise is due. Congratulations and more great things to come.
Congrats NENE LEAKES !
She is definitely working hard as an actress in prime time television & as a performer on Broadway.
She is living her dreams ~ ~ ~
Team Nene all the way! !!!
