Claudia’s Bravo blog included a link to the hysterical video above. It’s Kenya and Claudia in a Karaoke Bar in LA a few years back. Those two are such jokesters. She also shares some very personal after the page jump.
Bravotv.com: You and Kenya have known each other for years – what’s the funniest/craziest thing you guys have done together?
Claudia Jordan: Hmm, I’d have to say the funniest thing we’ve done together was when for her birthday we went to a karaoke bar and performed “Nasty Girls.” Of course I was terrible, because I’m Rhythmless Nation over here, but Kenya was pretty good. I mean she’s no Mariah in the voice department, but what I like about her is she commits to the bit. It was fun! Underneath it all I’m just a big goofy kid at heart!
The funny thing about being in radio is I never thought I’d make a career out of it. I know folks are 50/50 about my raspy voice and I just wanted to do some explaining. When I was 2-years-old I had surgery on my throat. I had a cyst removed. It was right in the middle of my throat and I still have a little scar. My mom told me it was pretty scary, but it had to be done. She also told me there were risks involved — that I possibly wouldn’t be able to talk or eat without a tube — but it all worked out. But I will say that throughout my entire life I’ve had issues with my throat and voice. As a young girl I would be in and out of the hospital with strep throat all the time, I had my tonsils removed when I was 10-years-old, and when I turned 22 I suffered total voice loss and it was scary! Later on in life I was told I had nodes on my vocal chords. So when folks say, “I hate her voice,” I just ask that you keep that in mind I’m just grateful I can even speak at all!
I actually LOVE her voice. I’m digging Claudia a lot thus far.
On Apollo: “At least he’ll have nice abs when he gets out.”
I like raspy voices too. I wish I could get a Scarlett johansen vocal implant.
It’s like when people comment on how ‘kooky’ Kim Richards is. I’m not a big fan of hers but I try to remain cognizant that it could be as a result of or exacerbated by her issues with alcohol. I like raspy voices myself. Better than sing song, high pitched valley girls.
I think Kim’s issues are 50% personality and 50% alcohol related (not drunk but alcoholic type). She reminds me so much of one of my MIL’s. The only thing she’s missing is visibly shaking most of the time.
I’d agree. I just hope she gets out of this season in a good place.
Hey where’s my comment?
I really like Claudia and what she’s going to bring to the show this season. And Tamara do you know if demetria is gonna be on as many episodes as porsha?
Demetria was supposed to be fulltime this season, but my understanding is that she didn’t fit in as well on Team Pretty as Claudia did (Claudia was supposed to be ROH, to Kenya). The cast of this show took MANY twists and turns this season. Porsha was not to be on AT ALL until they started filming. Phaedra and Cynthia did a scene early on that did not go well. Phaedra had a storyline with Apollo for awhile. Cynthia, Claudia and Kenya hit off from jump, Nene despite being a “constant support” for Phaedra was not wanting to film with her either. That left Nene with NO ONE to film Atlanta scenes with except for possibly Kandi who will suck up and film with whoever. So Porsha was brought back on to hang with Nene in a few ATL scenes. It’s all a mess.
So I don’t know how much Demetria we will be seeing but I think she is the catalyst for the Phillipines trip where she was doing a performance…

Tamara, I think you need competition to show you that controlling what people want to say won’t work if you want commenters on your site. It’s true what I have been reading about you and why many people don’t like you. My comment about Kenya did not violate the rules. You are obviously kissing ass to mingle with reality stars. Sit your fat ass down and let people have freedom of speech bored bitch. Hurry and take this comment off and cancel me horny cow! And thanks for inspiring me to launch a blog just to talk about your fat ugly ass.
Good luck Dina Davis! If this is your Thanksgiving mood, I’m sure you’ll have tons of views at your new blog! I can hear all of my commenters leaving now…
Oh wait. I think they are laughing not leaving.
You are no competition for me, sugartits. But I am all about you starting a blog where you can talk to yourself and stop trying so desperately to post here.

Blunt, It’s obvious you are a miserable, nasty and jealous Bitch. TT’s so good that you need her to be relevent. What a loser you are. Fuck Off!
Blunt, you are going to start a blog and make TT the star. Just rub some monkey butt on it.
I like that Claudia and Kenya really know each other. That brings a different perspective to the show. It’s not just some random chics cast to film the show.
So nice….real friends. She’s pretty and actually funny. I likely, so far. Good on her….for taking a negative and turning it into a positive. Yay! For #TeamPretty
Lord…Kenya just did horrible things to my eardrums. But Claudia’s right, she does commit 🙂 Loved it.
Their karaoke song looked like so much fun. I love Kenya and her laugh. She is the ONLY housewife on this stupid ass show who has ever made me laugh out loud. Kenya is entertaining. I am looking forward to her antics with Claudia.
Both Claudia and Kenya seem to have no problem being silly and acting crazy and HAVING FUN. I hope we get to see a lot more FUN. So sick of all the DRAMA.

Such pretty women.
Well, Kenya’s not perfect, she’s totally off-key.Having fun though. Is that what you call a tin ear?
I love their friendship. It reminds me of my relationship with my girlfriends. I hope to see more of their dynamic.
In an interview Demetria says she tried to be friendly with Nene, but that Nene was rude to her. Sounds like Nene was a real “mean girl” to the new girls this season.
Demetria has a bit of a nasty side to her as well…
