The Grand Jury results should be announced within the next twenty-five minutes. My understanding is it will happen at 9 pm EST. Because that’s a great time to give an announcement. It gives all the nut jobs time to prepare and act in the cloak of darkness. Anonymous is already on the ground and tweeting about the KKK being on the ground in Ferguson. Ben Crump has been saying all day that the family has been disrespected which makes “the killing of their unarmed child” even more egregious. FBI and National Guard has been called in to Missouri. State Patrols have been activated in many states and are in major cities. Peaceful protests are scheduled in major cities for tomorrow. We have threats to the state capitol and “protests” planned for Underground Atlanta tomorrow night.
For those unfamiliar Underground Atlanta is a social area where people go to restaurants and bars and where there is a very lenient open container law and people are allowed to go from bar to bar with drinks. I haven’t been there in ages, but the last time was for a drag show. There used to be and still may be a Fat Tuesdays with 180 proof drinks and yes a portion of it is underground. It’s a great place for a peaceful protest! Locals very rarely go there it is a tourist trap near the intersection of two major MARTA lines.
It’s all but certain there will be a verdict of NO BILL. Don Lemon is just saying that is the case. But, Don Lemon.
I will be watching for the verdict so Vanderpump Rules is going to have to wait until tomorrow. Sorry.
As always, commenting rules are relaxed for major legitimate news stories. Please try to be MORE respectful than we usually are. We have many, many commenters with LEO on patrol putting their lives in danger tonight and also appreciate those who have very legitimate concerns about racism in government. We are actually pretty good at respecting each other in times of crisis. I appreciate your restraint and ability to have intelligent discourse.
So far a filmmaker and his son have been removed from the Ferguson protest site for their protection as there was a false rumor they were there with “the Klan.”
And so it begins. Thought and prayers to all.
Stay safe Tamara, I live OTP but no matter, prayers to you and country. This is all so tragic.
You know what bugs me the most about all the stuff going on in Ferguson?
It’s the protesters walking around, and the media news anchors still calling Michael Brown the “unarmed teenager”, and showing people with their arms raised saying “don’t shoot”.
When did Brown ever say or do either of these things?
Hasn’t the evidence shown that Brown was aggressive, non-compliant and grabbed the officer’s gun and fired it during the altercation before the officer was even able to exit the squad car? That Brown then turned to charge the officer with his head down?
Do the protesters in Ferguson get different news stations than I do?
Stop calling him the “unarmed teenager” on his way to Garmma’s house!
Dude is on now talking about false reports and erroneous things being reported. An extensive investigation was done at times being interrupted with random gunfire. Fully aware that there were unfounded claims that the investigation of this tragic (???) death might not be full and fair..He decided that all physical evidence and witness would be given to the grand jury.
He is reiterating several times that ERIC HOLDER was involved in this investigation. They only wanted a through and complete investigation to make an informed decision. The Department of Justice was also involved in the autopsy. All local and federal goverments gave all their evidence to the grand jury.
He takes to task the media and social media. OH HEY! He says none of us know they physical evidence. He says that the eyewitnesses made conflicting statements with previous statements and they were also conflicting with the physical evidence.
Some were completely refuted by the physical evidence. For example some witnesses claimed they saw the officer stand over Michael Brown and fire many rounds into is back. The physical evidence disputes this. Others claim that the officer shot Michael Brown in his back. Physical evidenced refutes this. Once the autopsy was made public that Michael Brown was NOT shot in his back several witnesses “adjusted their story.” Some even admitted that they did not witness the event at all and only repeated what they had heard in the neighborhood or assumed what had happened. Wow this guy is going all in on lying witnesses.
The statements from the OFFICERS were admitted to the grand jury BEFORE the autopsy was released. The statements of the officers were supported by the autopsy findings. And before media reports were released. The jurors were able to assess the credibility of the witnesses before the media received the autopsy.
The Grand jury worked tirelessly to come to a decision and asked for information, met for 25 days and listened to 16 witness and reviewed hours of testimony and requested numerous items in their deliberations.
The heard from 3 medical examiners, may pieces of evidence they review legal documents concerning indictments ranging from first degree murder to involuntary manslaughter…
They had to determine that if LEO was justified in his use of deadly force.
After a FULL AND IMPARTIAL EXAMINATION where they are THE ONLY PEOPLE, REPEAT THE ONLY PEOPLE who have heard and examined every piece of EVIDENCE…
They deliberated that no probable cause exists to indict the LEO on any of the five options .
He is now saying that the LEO knew that Brown fit the description of the strong armed robbery. He was on another call with an infant who was in distress at the time. He heard the description but stayed on his call with the infant.
When he left, he saw the two people fitting the descripting of the strong armed robbery suspects. As he left a more specific description was released.
The video shows Michael Brown and his companion leaving the store.
LEO encountered the two idiots in the street. LEO told them to move to the sidewalk. As they passed LEO realized that Brown had a carton of cigarellos in his hand and fit the description of the suspect. At that time he radioed for assistance. He blocked their path in both direction.
An altercation took place with at the vehicle with the officer inside and Michael Brown in the window. During the altercation two shots were fired by LEO while still inside the vehicle.
Mr. Brown ran and LEO gave chase.
Brown turned back toward the chasing officer. LEO also stopped. As Brown moved toward LEO additional shots were fired.
At that point the assist car arrived. Less than 90 seconds passed between the LEO asking for backup and the assist car arriving.
During the ensuing events several eyewitnesses chose to go to the media, but several others chose to contact Police. All witnesses were interviewed by both County and Feds. All witnesses were presented to the Grand Jury including media interviews.
The physical evidence contradicted media eyewitnesses. Those people changed their story. Some admitted they were not even there. Others changed the facts of their story to attempt to match the physical evidence (eye witness testimony). Others stood by their statement even though the physical evidence discredited their testimony. Many witnesses described a major altercation between Brown and LEO… tug of war, tussling, wrestling, etc while LEO was in his vehicle. Some witnesses said that Brown was punching LEO inside his vehicle. Others said Brown was never inside the vehicle. Some said the shot was fired from inside the vehicle while Brown was just standing outside.
The vehicle and LEO’s clothing were examined by various technicians and scientists. Mr Brown’s blood and DNA were found on the outside of the vehicle. His blood was also on the INSIDE of the drivers door. It was also found on the upper left thigh of LEO’s pant leg, the collar of his shirt and on his weapon. WOW!
A bullet for the LEO weapon was found inside the driver’s door. The shot was fired inside the vehicle shot downward into the door. the second bullet was not recovered.
There were three autopsies. All of them showed a graze wound on the right thumb. With GSR. The LEO had hospital reports showing bruises to his face.
Witness reports of the events of that 90 seconds were so completely different as not to believed. He lists a ton of accounts.
The witnesses that said Brown had his hands up admitting to lying because they didn’t really see what happened as they were running away.
The hands in the air thing is also debunked by physical evidence.
My stupid Charter only lets me stop for 30 minutes. I have exceeded that. The point is the witnesses were all over the place.
12 shots fired. 2 in car 10 later. Autopsy shot discussed.
OH SHIT IT ALL CAME BACK!

Call me a conspiracy theorist but waiting waiting until past 8pm central on Thanksgiving weekend is done on purpose. They’ve been bulking up security for weeks. They know what they are doing with this release date/time. I hope people don’t act a fool.
Call me a conspiracy theorist too. I agree.
Did they plan an enormous storm in the Megalopolis as well?
Everyone seems peaceful so far. I am going to say prayers it stays that way. More violence will just compound the tragedy.
Just announced: no indictment.
………………and justice for all……………PEACE………………
……….and now here comes…..the civil suit. This is not over.
Of course there will be a civil suit. Law is law and it’s standard – founded or unfounded.
I’m guessing the family will go after the city/police department.
I hope all of you are safe tonight, and continue to stay safe.
They say that Brown was high on marijuana. I’d really like to know how high he was. Everyone knows if you go for a cop’s gun it’s virtual suicide.
And so it should be. Police officers put their lives on the line every day. If this young man had followed instructions, none of this would have happened. Police officers don’t want to shoot, let alone kill, anyone. This officer will have to live with this for the rest of his life.
I love TT ….you were right and I read it here BEFORE it was announced …!
Stay safe TT :-/
Ditto that and all others close to the situation!!
Praying for the Brown and Wilson families, their lives will never be the same regardless of this grand juries decision.
I wonder if Brown had killed the officer would people be protesting?
I here in St.louis mo , ferguson is around the corner from me , we all see the police here being unfair too most all young black man every day .
Problems are starting in Chicago. Protestors started at Chicago Police Headquarters. Now part of Michigan Ave is partially shut down and a few hundred protestors are on Lake Shore Drive.
Give our cops an hour or two to ‘tune up’ a few of the really belligerent protesters, and the rest will eventually decide its way too cold (23°, feels like 9° with wind chill factored in) and blustery on LSD with Lake Michigan wildly churning and spraying them down. If any of them have a functioning brain, they’ll ‘regroup’ at a pub somewhere. Since it’s the Monday, maybe at a hotel pub.
I give the credit for trying. As a life long Chicagoan, I would suggest not planning to be outside in Chicago for an event until, uhm … about May or June 2015 (unless there are tents, dry ground, and big ass gas heaters involved to bring the ‘inside’ temp to at least 45°).
(Be safe Tamera!)
A hotel bar is a safe bet since most of the protest instigators seem to be from other places, doing their best to stir up civil unrest
FUCK! I just recapped over an hour of this and somehow I lost my page.
Oof. Sorry Tamara. That’s rough.
FUCK. I am sure the transcript will be out tomorrow. Big news is the eyewitnesses lied and then changed their statements.
Two shot in the car.
Brown was 153 feet from car when ultimately killed.
And blood farther down the road so he turned back for whatever reason.
So he’s bleeding you shot him,and he’s running away, why the KILL SHOT? You feared a unarmed bleeding man, now shoot him in the head?
Call me crazy but the threat to mty life is over when a man has been shot and is running from me bleeding. Even with my limited medical knowledge.
I therefore admit my analysis must have been wrong. I apologize to Cheychey and to everyone.
Bravogirl-“unarmed” does not equate to being “not dangerous”. Mike was six feet four inches tall and weighed about 300 pounds. Think of the size disparity. He attacked a police officer trapped inside a car, hitting him in the head twice and went for his weapon. The weapon discharged twice injuring Mike. He caused his own injury!
Mike fled and when told by the officer to stop, he turned and charged him. The same Mike who 5-10 minutes before manhandled a clerk after a robbery and then walked with his accomplice down the middle of the road to brazenly f*ck with motorists.
If Mike would have done to you, as a citizen, what he did to the officer you would have a right to defend yourself. The officer knew if Mike was able to get his weapon, the officer most likely would have been killed and possibly others. What makes you think that officer had less of a right to defend himself from that f*cker? Is it your thinking that just because he is an officer of the law he has fewer rights?
This was not a three act play with intermission. This horrendous incident happened in a matter of moments when life and death decisions have to be made in split seconds. There is no opportunity for 20/20 vision. The fact that the officer allowed Mike to live after going for his weapon was mericful. Again, all Mike had to do was stop.
He’s stopped now. Because of his foolishness, arrogance and disobedience many innocent people will have their life changed and most not for the better. The dollar amount that these protests have caused is staggering. What is going on will not bring about “justice”.
So Bravogirl, I’m going to call you crazy.
@ Dracla,
Well put and though out!
Drac. You can call me whatever you want I’m not dead. A man running away with 2 bullets in his body, bleeding, the officer is also about the same height since you mentioned that, again running away, you have called for back up you begin to chase after the wounded criminal yelling and firing a total of 12 times at some point 152ft away the criminal turns around you feel threaten and you fire the kill shots. OK then… Why do need to resort to calling me names, why are you mad at me and my right to my voice?
Bravogirl: YOUR post said to call you “crazy”. I did based on your assinine statement. Once again you have your facts all screwed up. When did I say you don’t have a right to your opinion? Right. I didn’t. You continue to repeat misinformation over and over like a parrot, even when contributors take the time and decency to courteously correct your facts. You get a thought in your head and it sticks in there like stink on shit.
Personally I think you’re a brawler and you like to engage and enrage.
You will profile posters as racists yet when you disagree with a Caucasian’s opinion, you tell that poster to come out from under their white sheet! Who’s the racist now, Brav?
In some of your posts you jump on the Brown’s social injustice bandwagon. I will tell you what social injustice was yesterday. It was Mike’s step-father telling a mob of angry rioters to “burn the bitch down”, referring to the town of Ferguson, after the indictment decision was released. They did. Another proud moment for the Brown family. They are a festering boil on the ass of this nation. I guess only time will tell how much more damage they can inflict on the people of St. Louis because this sad event is far from over.
BTW, Brav. Mike did not have two bullets in him when he was running from the officer and told to stop. See, there is that stink on shit thing I was telling you about. As far as their size goes…there is a size disparity when a person is seated in a vehicle, trapped by equipment and a steering wheel. The cop was in a fight for his life, he had been hit in the face twice and suffered an orbital fracture. He probably knows the statistics of how many officers die by their own weapon in the hands of an assailant and it was two on one.
I could understand you defending a defensible victim but Mike was anything but a victim.
Drac.
I don’t know who on this thread is caucausion or African American just like you don’t. Because I’m not in agreement with the majority on this blog I must be Black which makes me confrontational. There racist in all ethnic groups. Tamara is free to ban at anytime. No hard feelings.

Your transcript was fabulous, thanks!
The prosecutor made it sound as though there were many witnesses who lied by either altogether fabricating what they claimed to have seen, or they based their false testimony on the false testimony of other liars.
Consider the affect that all those liars created … actually enraged people, who ultimately refused to consider factual accounts by Ferguson residents, same as them, who gave testimony that was consistent with many truthful others testimonies, which was opposite of the inconsistent testimonies of others who were found to have lied, in many instances they admitted that their testimony was abjectly false. I am not an attorney, though I would hope that those who were found to have given false testimony should be charged with perjury, and those who lied in interviews to media, charged for inciting a riot.
If only even HALF the media attention would be given for all the murders here in Chicago. I guess the politically correct liberal press isn’t interested in anything that involves black on black crime here in Chicago, our President’s home town, which is otherwise known as Chiraq, so Americans who care are kept ignorant of so many stories about the affect of so many murders on children, kids, teens, MANY who EXPECT to at very least be shot if not murdered before they grow into adults.
Those kids already are victims of murder, murder of their higher hopes and aspirations; kids who have sad expectations to be shot if they’re lucky, or murdered if they’re not. Hundreds a year die here and yet the press doesn’t give Chicago a fraction of the attention. God forbid if the press inquires about the efforts of powerful Chicago machine Democrats, among them President Obama, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
good point
if you don’t care about Michael Browns murder and its aftermath, including the failure to have someone objectively look at the evidence, like a jury. why in the world do you think anyone should care about murders in Chicago? Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. See how that works ?
I agree. From the beginning, the misinformation by Brown’s buddy and bystanders etc…caused a lot more fuel to be thrown on an already 5 alarm fire.
Brown just finished ROBBING a small business owner before he was killed. Blacks just IGNORED HIM pushing aside the business owner and STEALING cigars. What kind of business is going to stay there. NONE. It will be like Downtown LA STILL is.
The prosecutor filmed the entire proceedings. NOW we’ll hear about the facts Don Lemon never bothered to report.
Well they are looting that store now! I’m watching it on CNN
So right about the LA connection. Business will leave because they can’t get insurance anymore. This whole situation breaks my heart.
What blacks are you talking about? Being that I am black l didn’t ignore anything stop the racism and stop lumping all blacks into one category. MB shouldn’t have robbed the store owner and should have listened to the officer when asked to get out the street. So again I’m asking what blacks are you talking about?
I’m not black. Thank you for your statement! It’s true. Not ONE person can speak on behalf of an entire race/situation and or City. Nor can they assume ALL feel and think the same way…based on what!?
I’m glad Don Lemon had a babysitter last night. Cuomo did a good job of reeling in Lemon’s crying complaining ass!
@jeannamarie about your presumption of my not caring about Michael Brown, its not the case. I wanted the matter to be examined fairly and thoroughly. It was examined fairly and thoroughly, and grand jury members concluded that there wasn’t sufficient cause, which MIGHT imply that a crime MAY have been committed. As angry as people are about the decision, it was just. It’s tough to swallow. I know from first hand experience. I lost someone very dear to me by the hand of another, who was indicted, tried. I know the numbing, disorienting grief that goes so deep and hard that it causes one to actually ache from it, and lose memory of days, maybe weeks and there’s worse.
I was called to witness and was cross examined by an attorney who attempted to demonize my loved one. The guy was guilty as shit, yet there is a law in IL, which was created when Lincoln practiced and that filthy muderous bastard walked because of that law. Even the judge was outraged
She told us all in the courtroom that she isn’t obliged to explain why she judges one or another way, but she felt compelled to offer an explanation and to also offer survivors advice. We followed it, and very easily prevailed in a civil suit and we were awarded a judgment that EXCEEDED what our counsel sought.
The Browns will file a civil suit and will prevail. Maybe they’ll establish a memorial scholarship fund as we did, so we could associate something positive with our loss, and help someone have a better future, a future that our beloved never had.
Think before you make a claim or accusation that someone, who you don’t know from Adam, doesn’t care or know. Then, no one will accuse you of being ignorant and bitter.

Obama calling for criminal justice reform. He’s not helping calm things down.
Did you think he would???
I really did.
Wtf? Get up to speed before making judgements. How bout actually read Obama’s words.
Why would I read them? I heard and watched him. He should have said he saw the evidence and this is the right decision, not gone on about the criminal justice system.
I am up to speed. In my humble opinion, Obama exacerbated race relations with his comments.
Hope everyone stays safe and I feel for those who are out there tonight keeping everyone safe.
Oh look they are attacking cars on CNN There token black (not Don Lemon) guy is freaking out that they are putting lighter fluid on cop cars… tense moments.
Don Lemon says sure people are shooting… but whatevs. People are scattering and well obviously there is a smell of marijuana in the area but you know… whateves.
Back to the other guy cop cars are a covered in lighter fluid. Rioters came out in riot gear. The rioters errr,,,, I mean people throwing rocks and bottles at the police are freaking out the hon Don Lemon guy who seems to want his mama.
The not so funny funny thing is people are blocking the street.
Obama is on saying nothing. I respectfully submit that his BS gives me time to catch up to real time. After his speech about Hagel this morning, I no longer believe he means anything he says. He should have just said he fired him.
If the people had any sense in Ferguson, they would stay INDOORS and OUT of trouble. If that place is looted and burned, it will stay that way GUARANTEED for the next 20 years like downtown LA did. No one will put a nickel into that town to rebuild. Homeowners sit on grand juries, who are paying taxes to the police to protect their property values and businesses from MICHAEL BROWN’S that PREY ON THEIR OWN COMMUNITY. No business owner is going to take the chance of their stores being OPENLY ROBBED and the cops don’t go after the NO GOOD CRIMINALS that ruin their own communities.
THEY ARE LITERALLY LOOTING A HAIR STORE FOR WEAVE.
Attention. WEAVE STEALING IS BEING SHOWN ON CNN RIGHT NOW.
Don’t like the justice system, steal some HAIR! I am not making this up.
Hahaha! I saw that, too. This shit is crazy… As was predicted. I feel badly for the news casters who don’t have gas masks… They are using lots of it. Scary as hell, man… Glad I’m in my home in the northern woods of Minnesota.
Stay indoors and stay safe people!
I kinda don’t feel sorry for the newspeople, because they have been hyping this singular case for months while excluding reportage about other cases across the USA.
I don’t care for the press because the press pretty much hyped matters up to make this story far more than it was.
Don Lemon shit his stupid pants when shit went down and began reporting from “secure location” for a while.

Also, it would be nice if you didn’t refer to a dead 18 year old as an idiot.

CNN has a white guy peeing himself as he interviews some chick saying SHE WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK AND PEOPLE WHERE CARRYING HER OFF AND THEY TEAR GASSED HER.
Dude says he is standing right there no tear gas.
We are watching the same thing and having the same reaction. This is absolutely ridiculous.
I can’t believe people thought it was a good idea to take their youngins out there in that craziness.
The cop cars are being burned and CNN wants to interview Ben Crump. He is not there. YAY!
Scared white guy wants to go to Don Lemon.
Don says that people were tear gassed because PEOPLE ARE SETTING COP CARS ON FIRE. DON SAYS THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE! THIS HAS ALL ERUPTED INTO CHAOS! I HAVE BEEN MOVED TO A SAFE PLACE.
Really Don? I thought people were unreasonable thinking people would act like idiots today. I in fact thought CNN was claiming it was racist to think that violence would break out. You Don Lemon standing in the middle couldn’t happen to a nicer guy…
except for Ben Crump who everyone keeps trying to go to but Ben Crump is somewhere eating donuts and laughing at what he just created…Don.
Tamara. Your true colors are finally showing out.
For real! It showed a bit this summer. I really like this site, been here since day one visiting daily, but damn, can you show a little respect to your readers??
@Bevy Pollard. Be respectful, this is her blog. Back off if you don’t like what you are reading. I am sure there are tons of other sites where you might agree with the blogger. No need to try to start a riot here at Tamaras house.
Know your place Bevy and Kayla..we can visit her site, just not disagree with her. Hahaha You’d think her devout followers are also getting paid by the way they protect her.
Bevy and Kayla’s mommy…. this is a blog. TT does not have to have your opinion nor does she have to value your opinion. Perhaps you should conspire and start your own blog. Kayla’s mommy…. you mentioned that T owes it to you because you read her blogs…. that sounds insane. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But you need to learn to respect others.
Did you see the part where Don Lemon was being tear gassed and then removed his mask so he can be a total drama queen,. CNN needs a new token black guy. (also Don Lemon is trying to be too cute with his gryffindor scarf tucked oh so perfectly in his bulletproof vest)
You really have to laugh at this farce of a grand jury, this farce of picking Mike Brown as the face of racial profiling/police brutality, (hello, there are so many clear cut examples, many of them with video. Anyone see the video of the guy in SC being shot for reaching for his registration, or the video of the guy shot in walmart while holding a bb gun that is sold at walmart?) and particularly the farce of waiting until night to release this information, facillitating the people up to no good to act a fool under cover of darkness, whille the real protestors are caught in the middle, trying to prevent looting.
Agreed those are legitimate reasons to be angry. Officer asked for registration then shot the gentleman when he reached for it. Talking on phone not doing anything wrong holding a store product..shot to death ( the “soldier” who called it in had to know it wasn’t real he should be held liable too and I’m extremely pro military) Also the 12 year old in Cleveland at 12 I really don’t believe he thought anything of playing with a toy someone had to given him. He probably didn’t understand what was going on. Those are the stories that deserve the coverage this is getting not just a 2 minute segment on the news.
Great point
This is so sad the fools out there causing trouble in Ferguson. I am disapointed with what they are showing on CNN. The peaceful protesters should get off the street tonight as it is not a good situation. I am still undecided if the right decision was made and waiting for the release of the transcripts. I am more inclined to believe witnesses who did not do media interviews and quietly contacted the police . It is a sad situation all around. Praying for Ferguson!
BEN CRUMP IS ALIVE! Ben has not idea what is going on because he is somewhere safe.
I’m still waiting for the “good tv” that Obama promised me would come from this.
Ben is finally on the phone speaking ebonics to his people! Ben Crump is clearly drunk so they let him go.
Who are his “people”? Why do you say an educated Black man is speaking Ebonics?? Wow.
Hold up one minute. This is not the site to be speaking on Grammical Errors. Why all the stereotyping on blacks like every other race is fucking perfect. You sound ignorant as hell.
Ebonics? You surprise me. I’m his people. I don’t speak ebonics. As an educator did you utilize this ill thought teaching concept. Broken english is just that broken. There is not a “black ” language. I usually love your posts. Go figure.
Tell the Oakland, CA., school district that Ebonics is just broken English. At one time the district tried to include Ebonics as a subject matter to be taught in the classroom. Ebonics was considered the language of the blacks.
Dracla Dunning. Please do not ASSUME that ebonics is the language of black people. I am black and consider myself to be very well spoken. i have taught my children to speak proper English as have many of my friends and family. Please stop with the stereotypes.
E·bon·ics ēˈbäniks/ *noun* noun: *Ebonics*
1. American black English regarded as a language in its own right rather than as a dialect of standard English.

Professor Williams wrote an IQ test specifically for blacks. He has detractors but his aim he says, is to end what amounts to “death sentences”—the “low IQ” tag that black children acquire early and are stuck with the rest of their lives. “When I did well in school, administrators would say my below-normal test results were a fluke,” he recalls. “I’m saying that the standard IQ test is not an adequate measure of black students’ abilities, of their capacity to profit from further experience or of what they’re going to do in the future.”
Here are typical questions from Dr. Williams’ IQ test for blacks. The first phrase or word is defined best by one of the words or phrases that follows. Circle the correct one. The answers are below.
1) The eagle flies (a) the blahs (b) movie (c) payday (d) deficit
2) Four corners (a) rapping (b) singing (c) the streets (d) dancing
3) Jive (a) very important (b) worthless (c) old (d) get the point
4) Jump sharp (a) well dressed (b) angry (c) bitter (d) get the point
5) Short (a) an automobile (b) a dollar bill (c) one shoe (d) a shirt
Answers: 1) (c) payday; 2) (d) dancing; 3) (b) worthless; 4) (a) well dressed; 5) (a) an automobile
Once again, I’m a genius.

I hope it calms down. Small business owners suffer. Stay safe TT, as it spreads across the US. Chicago is erupting. Russell Simmons is saying New York is protesting peacefully. Torn both ways.
I guess nothing will happen to all these piece of shit looters
Well, the looters did get their Christmas, Hannukah & Kwanza shopping done. I saw some with shopping lists….
Blame the media for sticking to the unarmed innocent shot in the back. I only read one paper, Washington Post, that reported the additional African American witnesses that corroberated Wilson’s story.
Is it wrong that for a brief moment I thought how awesome would it be if Don Lemon took a bean bag to the balls.
Oh look taking liquor and Don asking is this looting? No Don I’m sure the owners are just giving away all their inventory.
Your comments made me LOL…literally! 🙂
Is it wrong? Hell no. He deserves bean bags to his ballz, and it would heighten the drama he’s bringing us!
oh look, don is in a safe location saying he thinks people are looting the store that Mike Brown robbed before the shooting of Mike Brown. Because it is some how that store’s fault that idiots loot the store that Mike Brown committed the strong armed robbery in. Once again they are stealing from their own community store. YAY. That will teach the store owners to move to another city.
Great job! Idiots in Ferguson. Where you going to get your malt liquor now? No store owners in that town should sell alcohol ever again.
TT, I am so with you…..Idiots in Ferguson….stupid damn people in Ferguson, riots leaking into other major cities……way to advance the thinking we have towards a certain racial sector of people…….just showing they are animals.
When you say “we” who are you referring to?
“Animals” now I know you have your computer to hide behide but calling folks animals is showing your white sheet.

Dee comes from a different perspective than you are I! She is very much entitled to her feelings on this subject!
Angel, so when whites burn cars and riot after a football game, you ok sweetie with me saying oh….. look at that “racial sector of people……just showing they are animals” I guess you would be ok with that huh? sure you would you are just an advocate of free speech, me too.
Actually bravogirl, I am! In fact, where I am from you would be saying “look at that damn group of rednecks from the trailer park showing themselves as animals”!
Angel, I’m good with you… we just have differences and thats fine, thats whats this World is about. no disrespect its disagreement.
Lolololol.. This is so tragic but am grateful for the hilarious commentary to make it somewhat bearable. Friggin don lemon!
Malt liquor really?, calm down. That isn’t helping.
I’m very disappointed in the comment about malt liquor. Guess Tamara’s request for respect only applies to those that comment. Newsflash…not all black people drink beer, much less malt liquor.
And just so you all know, I am pissed that people are tearing up their own community…they are only feuling the racist and stereotypical comments.
TT – why are not one the bloggers confronting and taunting the police? Oh now two restaurants on fire!
Oops forgot the word you!
Idiots. looting for weave. Officers staying they will tear gas again. looters everwhere. SHITHEADS looting the Mexican restaurants….. CNN talking liberal shit about this is not what “the peaceful protesters” wanted. The cops are about to gas them all.
IDIOTS ARE ON THE INTERSTATE ! Because standing in the road is a thing.
BTW IF YOU DIDIN”T GET YOUR WEAVE IN TIME IT IS ON FIRE NOW.
Yes!! Oh, please gas the media for not reporting the facts and then being shocked by the violence. They can start with Dapper Don Lemon.
I think this is one point we can ALL agree on. I’d like to add Ben Crump as well. But we would not even know Ben Crump existed if CNN didn’t keep interview his as if he was an actual intelligent life-form.

That beauty supply store has been looted multiple times already during prior ‘protests’. You know the ones when people were appalled that LE showed up in riot gear in a flank formation.. Yes totally shocking *sarcasm
They’re using tear gas to control the riot.. and they’re hurling bricks back at them. If anyone had the right to hurl bricks, it’s the protesters from the 60’s who faced real police brutality for a righteous cause.
OK…WHY is Phaedra there?! Shouldn’t she be at home with her kids, or something?!
OMG…what a dumbazz! Disregard my last comment, I’ve put my glasses on and see the date was from August. Sheesh! :::Wonder if there’s any eyeglass stores in Ferguson “giving away” free glasses tonight::: 😉
Ferguson was not prepared enough. No police around where Mike Brown was shot?
Bitches done burned the weave store to the ground GOD DAMMIT IT!
Well everybody’s hair will be layed for Thanksgiving & Christmas!
Lol
What you should do is steal all the liquor, and all the weave and then burn shit down. Bye, Porsha.
Hate to laugh, but he he he!
Hmm…I will only believe Porsha stole the weaves if I hear that a woman was trying to find the underground railroad to make a clean getaway.
Hahahahaha!!! Thanks for the laughs in such a tense situation!!!
Vehicles → torched, Hair Salons → torched, Beauty Supply Shops → torched,
Since they’re unable to drive their cars, there’s going to be some pretty pissed off, unattractive people walking around Ferguson today. And to think with only 2 days till Thanksgiving, those who weren’t prepared in advance will be unable to purchase groceries for their family meals. Sadly, they’ll have to eat fast food → Strike that! Purchase a car to go elsewhere? → strike that. The people in the community that survived the rioting can at least pour themselves a tall stiff drink → Strike that.
No justice → no vehicle, hair salon, beauty supplies, grocery store, fast food, car dealership, no booze, no . . . . .
CNN reported a man stopped people from looting a wig shop. Good to hear something positive in all of the chaos.
Is this really about Mike Brown? Is this really about Ferguson? Is this really about one issue? The comments here (as well as the bloggers glee and stereotype) hits the surface of the real issues.
Maybe people need to choose a more noble “hero” than Mike Brown.
Good point however free stealing…um, I mean protesting….for weaves, liquor and electronics dont come often…every few years…I guess the looters wanted to seize the day.
I may be wrong but I don’t believe anyone has referred to Mike Brown as a hero. However, he has been referred to as representation of the many Black people that have faced some form of social injustice.
He could also be a representation of the many young people, Black, White, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, Native, Other, Rich, or Poor (please check the box that applies) that have no respect for authority or property!
L. Chapman-On the flip side of that token is officer Wilson. The protesters are blaming him for every tarnished badge. He is carrying that burden along with his decisions of that day which is a very heavy load. His decisions should stand alone.
Wilson is not every cop and Brown was not every black teen.
There was no “social injustice” when each man is looked at as a single enitity. Along with an accomplice (2 on 1) an 18 year old thug assulted an officer and intended to assult him again and an injured cop, who probably perceived his life and the lives of innocents was at stake, responded according to his training.
Shame on those who use this incident to destroy others under the veil of “social injustice”. Shame on those who glorify a felon as an excuse to burn down a town.
I agree with you Bevy. Please let one more person tell me that we live in a “post-racial” society. Ferguson has keenly demonstrated that it takes little more than a superficial wound to bring some frighteningly ugly attitudes and sentiments to the surface. As well as pain, anger, frustration, outrage, and the list goes on. Dialogue has been completely shut down because the concept of “I don’t understand” has been lost and replaced with “It doesn’t exist”. The reality, however, is somewhere in line with “I refuse to understand” or “I am afraid to understand”. I, for one, wish the dialogue on this blog could have gone differently. Some of the comments showed vulnerability and insight but many were just rife with ideas, language and comments that are polarizing. The request to remain “respectful” gave me hope but that was lost along the way (I’ll own my own transgressions in this as well). And yes I know “whose blog this is” and I “can see myself to the door”. But it works both ways. If a tree falls and nobody hears it, does it make a noise…? Not in the blogosphere.
amtraveler, You are more than welcome to say whatever you would like. The people who are being moved to the exit are not regulars like you, but people who have shown up here for this topic only. As someone pointed out Bravogirl has consistently repeated things as fact that are simply not true. But she is a regular commenter here and thus she gets a lot of leeway. As for your comments, I recall them all being respectful and insightful. You have to keep in mind our bar for polite conversation is beyond low when we are arguing about nonsense on TV shows. All in all I think we did fairly well staying civil in here, with very few exceptions.

Damn you, TT! I was oblivious to all of this and blissfully watching Nat Geo with my partner. Not that it matters, but we are both black men in Atlanta.
All of this is beyond shameful on so many levels. CNN is live reporting looting at Metro PCS, a liquor store and a beauty supply store. WTF???
I was already pissed off with mid-term election results, now I’m supposed to process this?
P.S. I cannot stand Don Lemon. He set my alarm off just a tad bid more than Todd Tucker. Whatever they are selling, I’m not buying.
TT, I know you will call me all types of cunts but can you please leave off politics and religion from your site? Everybody Knows, a true Southern Belle wouldn’t do this.
Nooooo more Little Caesars for you fools!
Ok this is getting worse! BBQ pizza anyone?
I keep hearing unarmed teen as the reason Mike Brown shouldn’t have been shot. I believe an important thing is being overlooked because this incident is so emotionally charges…the officer had NO WAY of knowing whether he was armed or not. He didn’t get a chance to frisk him for weapons. Nor did he know the age. From my understanding, he only knew he had just been attacked by a large person who fought him in the car. All other information came out later.
This Officier did not have to kill a person running away. The end!
If he was running away, wouldn’t there have been back entrance wounds found on at least one of the 3 autopsies?
You weren’t there. You haven’t read any of documents being released regarding the evidence the grand jury reviewed. You should reserve judgement until you do!
neither have you angel, but what I do know and its been said and documented by the GJ, he was shot in the car x2 with a total of 12 shots by the Officier, there was no need for a kill shot to the head if someone is 152 ft away hmmmmm?
That seems to be were the confusion lays, some say he was running away, some say running toward. I tell my kids if a cop says stop you stop. If he says move you move. Don’t reach for your wallet until he tells you to and let him no where you need to get it from first, don’t argue say yes/no sir/ ma’am. A lot of times how you go into a conversation with an officer determines how you’ll come out of it. I have been searched for drugs before traveling to visit my sister in Ga. because I didn’t realize when I gave a man a dollar when he asked I was in a known drug area. I know my rights and I could of huffed and puffed how he had no right to search me, where’s your warrant, blah blah. Or I could be polite save the couple hours of sitting on curb while judge signed warrant, pissed them off to point where my car seats were sitting in parking lot and hand him my purse, empty my pockets and go on my way with a have a good day. Injustices are fought in the courts not in the streets.
Laveny – don’t try logic with Bravogirl. She been in this combative mood for awhile now. I find it annoying.
Laveny.. Ive been stopped and had my car searched in Omaha Ne, after I had been warned by my uncle who is in law enforcement that I would be. I was on my way to NYC and I was driving a red convertible mustang on the I80. He told me that hwy was a known drug route from west to east. Sure enough as soon as I entered Nebraska I was pulled over. I am mixed race and so is my husband, my husband tends to be seen at first site as white. I was driving at the time and I was not speeding. He made us sit at the side of the road with our children search our car and our suitcases, looking for what I could only guess, He did ask us if he could search our vehicle. After he found nothing he let us go on our way. We knew why we were stopped.
He didn’t, an officer killed a man charging at him after he had already strong armed a store and assualtEd an officer….but what do little details matter.
The reporters in St Louis were given a disc containing grand jury testimony. Mike Brown was not running away. They had some time before the press conference to read the testimony. Dorian Johnson’s story changed a great deal. It is quite enlightening. Not one shot to the back, He charged the officer. Testified to by several witnesses.
At one point Dorian admitted to the media on camera that he lied. Months ago. Yet last night before the announcement CNN has his lying account playing over and over like it was credible information.

Bravogirl look at the time stamps. We didn’t agree to disagree, or call a truce, or just stop the back and forth until 13 min after I made my comment to L. Chapman. Can’t we just shake hands? I have a headache from lack of sleep and too much reading of evidence given to the grand jury!
Bravogirl, ……Porsha, girl…You have not read the blog. He was NOT running away when he was shot. NO shots fired into his back. You keep saying the same comment over and over and I am tired of reading it. Shut up and read all of the story.
I didn’t read all the replies (not yet anyway) but according to live tweets Brown attacked Wilson through his vehicle window, & turned & walked away. When Wilson exited, Brown turned around & started coming after him. Tweets then stated that they thought his shots kept missing, as Brown just kept coming in threatening manner. They ended with Wilson had no other option, then “My God, I can’t believe I just saw someone killed”. Within about 2hrs all originals were deleted as many death threats received & “I know where you live”. Also — many who wanted justice more than truth → lied & stated they were eyewitnesses when in fact they were nowhere to be around. That’s who these protestors should be FURIOUS with.
According to some news reports, the whole altercation from calling for backup to the shooting took 60 seconds.
Nowadays police have guns that are automatic so holding the trigger for a few seconds would be multiple shots.
He was armed with is fists. He SHATTERED the cops eye socket. He WENT for his gun… Who does that???
The law of the land has spoken. If these riots were TRULY about Mike Brown, no way would black-owned businesses be destroyed.
I was erroneously stopped by 2 patrol cars. Lights, sirens… I immediately pulled over. They screamed get out with you hands up. I almost crapped my pants. I was terrified. It was a case of mistaken identity. I cooperated answered their questions for 5 minutes. They realized they made a mistake, and they let me go…
Shattered his eye socket? Really? Did you not look at the pics of the officer’s injuries? His eyes were fine.
Also, this characterization of the hulking Michael Brown and this dimunitive officer need to stop. They both are 6’4″ and the officer is no waif.
kkarlmcf…………HIS EYE SOCKET WAS FRACTURED!!!!!!!!!!!!! The officer characterized it as the Incredible Hulk flinging around a 5 year old.
SORRY…. Pick a new hero. This 300 lb adult CHARGED at the officer like a RAGING BULL. I have been reading testimony all morning.
Me too, DJ!!! When I was a teenager, my brother and I were surrounded by cops with their guns drawn. It was one of the scariest incidents of my life. It happened to be a case of mistaken identity and we were on our way home but the car & occupants fit the description of a violent robbery that had just occurred. We fully cooperated and did everything that was asked of us…and we rode on home a short time later.
You are so right – these riots have nothing to do with justice or Mike Brown. Unfortunately, justice will never be found as there aren’t enough folks willing to take responsibility for themselves or their actions.
gapeach,
We are totally off topic…. but I was driving the same type of car as well. My husband and 3 children were in the car behind me (we were dropping a car off to be serviced). It was horrific. My husband pulled over and stayed in the car with the kids until it was sorted out. He didn’t get out, be aggressive, charge, etc… Just crazy. My kids were hysterically crying… A mess… my point is… I complied with the officers.
DJ… No one is picking Michael B as no damn hero, but what did you think the officer was going to say, huh? “Oh yes this nice young man grabbed my gun”. He had to make a descriptive narrative to fit the event, Like anyone would in his situation. “Ragging bull”, of course he was.
Bravogirl24/7,
Mike Brown was shot in the hand supporting the officers account of him reaching in and grabbing his gun… BTW… RAGING BULL!!!!!! not ragging!
AND I REITERATE>>>>>>>>>> AND JUSTICE FOR ALL……
WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW…. Peace out.
I give the police every bit of credit, I fully admit I would be all fuck this I am out of here, good luck, let me know how you all make out.
No kidding – kudos to them because I feel nervous just watching from another state
Bevy P. This is about all of the Mike B’s past, present and future, who will never see justice in this system. The life of a person of color is worthless.
Bravogirl, Absolutely. This is the legacy of our time. The issues are bigger and I was hoping for an educational discussion tonight. Maybe I am on the wrong blog. What I am getting is “animals” “weave” “blah..blah..”
No, that is not true. A person of color is extremely important. Please don’t EVER believe that lie.
Bevy..its not the wrong blog I find this is an opportunity to educate. Their are a lot of good reasonable people who frequent this blog of all races and we all are able to amicably voice our opinions.
This is the best blog in the world. This is a terribly sensitive subject that cuts to the bone. All I really want to say is this, we all bleed red. <3
Oh c’mon Bev and BravoGirl – you haven’t even tried to open up the floor for discussion.
And it’s a hotbed topic – Im not sure this very instant is time to discuss the bigger picture. People have a myopic view tonight.
Please understand that I am *not* saying we shouldn’t discuss it at all because I do.
I just don’t think any good could come of it tonight.
And looting helps how?
Cry more. Your tears sustain me! Soon I will reach my final form! On a serious note, I don’t understand how you can decide what is ‘justice’ in this situation without all the information that the grand jury had.
Bevy – look do you really think the idiots doing the burning and looting really care about Mike Brown or any social issues? No, the people who really care left as to not be associated with this mess.
Angel (?)
Well said… The violence, looting, rioting does nothing but hurt the cause. It’s sad, because so much good could have come from this awful situation. It could have really started a dialogue if only the protests had remained peaceful. And I do believe that a great many protesters had the best of intentions. But because of the people who chose violence to state their cases, we will now just continue to go round and round.
Good point Angel. None of those business owners, who serve the black community in Ferguson, will ever see their businesses reopen. Their insurance companies will likely deny any claims based on “acts of terrorism” exclusions in nearly all commercial liability policies. No, they are punishing innocent people in the name of “innocence”. The irony (and stupidity) is overwhelming.
Angel, I disagree with you. While I don’t condone their behavior in the least, I think (as crazy as it sounds) the looters do care about Mike Brown. For the Black community, this decision is much bigger than Mike Brown. He represents their fathers, brothers, cousins, friends, etc that have faced some sort of injustice. Look, I know that it is difficult for most to look past the current situation. Unfortunately, for the Black community, this is all too common.
Looting stores for whiskey and Cheetos doesn’t seem very symbolic to me
Well, surely the weave is symbolic, no? 🙂

You assume that the black community agree with everything you say however. I don’t see how that is possible.
L Chapman, I think you nailed it. This is an historical rage, fueled by the sting of racism that continues today. But I also believe it’s self destructive — the rioters are scorching the place where they must come back to live. These are nothing but steps backwards.
Damn Walgreens? Go for the prescription drugs not the pampers and beer!
Oh now it’s all McCullough’s fault!
Angel? do you think that if Mike B had not been shot down in the street that those folks would be out there tonight? really?
That comment makes no sense. I SAID THE PEOPLE WHO TRUELY CARE ABOUT CHANGE IN FERGUSON ARE NOT ROITING AND LOOTING! What are you talking about?
The looting and burning is symbolic. It is an expression of frustration – not to be confused with right or wrong.
Police officers should shoot when they feel their life is in danger. Officer Wilson’s life was not in danger at any time.
Symbolic or not, it does not help anyone’s cause. It just pushed the different sides further apart!
Oh really? When someone is pinning you in your vehicle, hitting you in the face, and reaching for your gun, you don’t feel your life is in danger? I believe at least at one point the officer was in fear for his life!
There is nothing symbolic about looting and burning when it is your livlihood being destroyed. My heart goes out to those small business owners whose lifetime of hard work has been destroyed tonight.
Gilded Lily, I feel the same. Sadness for those TRULY affected.
Bevy ~ please allow me to correct you: there is NO confusion when someone burns and/or loots someone else’s property. Symbolism has nothing to do with it, it’s called being ILLEGAL. What if that was YOUR property? Or your Mom or Dad’s property that they’ve worked years trying to build up? Also, how do you know “Officer Wilson’s life was not in danger at any time.” ? That’s a careless statement to make since you weren’t onscene of this incident. If Officer Wilson hadn’t been “in fear for his life”, I don’t think they could have justified a No Bill to Indict.
Apparently two shots were fired in his squad car, and Mike Brown had GSR on his hand. Shots were fired again, and obviously I’ve only read what you have, but it sounds like Mike Brown was coming toward the cop. I have to disagree–I would have thought my life was in danger from the moment Mike Brown’s hand touched the gun in the squad car.
Oops….if they think rioting and protesting are the same then they are crazy.
Haha I knew Bevy would finally admit that they condone the looting if I read enough comments. Idiot! It isn’t symbolic of shit. It’s destructive and fucked up. Peaceful protests infront of government buildings are symbolic. Not burning down a weave store. Did the officer have a weave on?
Maybe the police officer who shot Mike was just expressing his frustration symbolically? See how stupid that sounds?
What don’t YOU understand. why riot? have you ever felt passionate about anything, a cause, except this blog? I don’t agree with rioting but i
UNDERSTAND.
Seems more like an opportunity to take advantage of something “free” and less like an act of passion. Destruction and thievery doesn’t equal passion to me. I understand what you’re trying to say, but I totally disagree.
No, I will NEVER understand LAWLESSNESS. It is not what this country was built upon. No one should EVER feel passionately enough about ANYTHING to burn down or loot other innocent people’s properties or businesses. That is an excuse and I reject it.
And don’t give me a long drawn out historical speech about revolution. Revolution can occur without looting, without destroying other people’s property or business. You can dump tea in a bay in protest. You can take up arms if you are not allowed to vote or change the country’s future or are having your basic human rights denied you. This is NOT that situation. If you want to be truly honest, then you’ll just call this what it is — a war against one’s own community.
What don’t you understand Bravogirl? I have stated twice that the people rooting and looting DO NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT MIKE BROWN, INEQUALITY, AND RACISM! What they are doing is perpetuating a stereo type!
For some reason I cannot reply to comments about my specific posts. At any rate, I stand behind my statement. As I said, it is “symbolic – not to be confused with right or wrong”. Think about it! Your responses are about right versus wrong.
Actually, I think I understand. I feel sincere (flaming hot sometimes) passion, but until a black person stands in front of a fucking tank, as in Tiananmen Square (China) nothing is really going to change. Stealing, looting and being a bigger part of the problem, isn’t going to work. I think it’s incumbent for the black race to send a message that violence will not be tolerated. Violence is NOT the answer and actually keeps the black race enslaved. Please don’t be mad at me, I am on your side.
Since all of race issues wind up political, even Obama asked for a non-violence approach, as did the Brown family. That should be good enough.
*just winning friends and influencing people* yeah, right 🙂
For me, the egregiousness clouds any symbolism that may be there. I just don’t get it.
Bevy- I think you have some interesting things to say on the subject of inequality and racism. I would be happy to have a conversation with you and bravogirl about our views, but this is not the thread. Hopefully TT will start a new thread tomorrow with the info from the grand jury. Then we can all have a more intelligent conversation. However, tonight I believe we are commenting on the craziness of thinking that starting a riot, looting, and destroying businesses is effective. Most people, no matter what their race, who loot and destroy businesses not involved are just there to get something for free and just be destructive. And if they think rioting are the same then that’s crazy.
I have had a desire to just shake my kids til their teeth rattlled, never did. I would like to throttle people who do not spay and neuter their pets. I do not burn animal shelters.
Remember the Chris Rock joke with OJ that it wasnt right but he understood. Guess by that criteria some people can understand looting, rape, murder, pedophilia. I can hear the coversation now. He hadnt had a woman for so long…not right that he molested his daughter but men have urges. “Not right but I understand.” By that rationale, you can excuse anything.
Burning your OWN bra is symbolic.. burning down a victorias secret is destructive.
Burning your OWN books = symbolic
Burning down a library is not.
Excellent perspective
They and by they I mean black people taken over little Caesar’s for Pizza and Walmart. MAKE NO MISTAKE I am watching this. This is NOT a multicultal event. IT IS BLACK PEOPLE. This will be rewritten later. The thugs looting are black you may find an occasional white person but ZERO white people looted the hair store… I did not see any white people storming Ceasar’s pizza but they usually have the smarts to GO THE FUCK HOME.
Black folks are looting shit, THis is what I am telling you. I am watching the TV if WHITE PEOPLE are looting CNN is in a big conspiracy not to show us!
And what is the point here? It is a Black community.
Tamara, you have shown to me on numerous occasions that you are extremely intelligent. However, some of your racist comments lately have me questioning you. What you are seeing on the television is not representative of the entire Black race just like terrorists aren’t representative of all Muslims. The ,media was positioned in particular parts of Ferguson, not all over Ferguson. The looting and violence took place all over Ferguson. With that said, the cameras did not capture every single event and it is impossible to say only Black people participated in last night’s violence. What we saw on TV was just a small fraction of what actually occurred.
I flipped between CNN, MSNBC and Fox News last night…when the violence started, I saw people of all colors, to include White, rocking the police car. In fact, there was one white guy that was closest to the camera that ran to join in. White people loot! Black people loot! Not all White people loot! Not all Black people loot!
When Mike Brown was first killed, I had to travel to St Louis on business. I had the pleasure of spending one week with about 10 Black women of varying ages, many of which either lived in or around Ferguson. They were very upset with how their city was being portrayed on TV . They were upset with the looters. They participated in PEACEFUL demonstrations. They all had stories of them or their families being racially profiled.
black people are on grand juries, white people are on grand juries…

And as for the alleged racial undertones of where they looted…those are the stores in that area, so yeah, DUH, they’re stores that serve the people who live there. If it was my neighborhood, we’d be looting bookstores, antique shops and the garden center (don’t be a hater, it’s just how it is). But destroying black owned businesses is just sad, they worked their whole life to build the business and it’s gone.

Thank you, I didn’t think about that. I was just thinking how much harder it is to see rocks, etc. thrown at you and to identify the trouble makers from the peaceful protesters.
I kindustry of thought the same thing. Let’s school age kids get home and businesses close. So that less were open or less occupied. IDK
Would it of mattered when the announcement came? Would all of the looting, burning of businesses etc…not have happened?
PeacefulProtests can happen all day any day.
*kind of* DYAC!
Schools in Ferguson and surrounding towns were closed Monday and Tuesday due to the pending grand jury decision,
While you are remembering Reginald Denny, don’t forget about Rodney King. God bless Reginald Denny.
Its just turning into a tragedy. I’m a white girl born and raised in Texas, thats all I can personally relate to, but my heart hurts for those that deal with challenges I can’t begin to imagine–profiling, etc. The sad thing is that while changes may need to be brought to light, the event that is in the spotlight is one where apparently the evidence supports the actions of the police. I do appreciate that it sounds like they honestly tried to ensure that the testimony the police gave to the grand jury was their own recollections–they had to testify prior to the release of the autopsy results. The fact that their testimony was supported by the autopsy results makes it extremely reliable. Whats happening now in Ferguson is drowning out any message that might have been worthy of hearing. So many of these protestors obviously have agendas that aren’t remotely peaceful or constructive and its just a kick in the gut to any legitimate message reasonable people might want to get across to the rest of the country.
Looters are now looting an Advanced Auto Parts store. I don’t supposed they plan to fix the cars they damaged? #Nah
They need the parts to construct their bit of symbolism.
The police officer was attacked in his car so this must be the symbolism Bevy spoke about. It all makes sense now.
I do wonder why they waited so late to give the results. In my area courts are closed by 4:30. It would seem night time would be worst time to release and they obviously were expecting problems, guard was activated long before today. Is this normal for other cities?
Just heard or read that the thought process was that the businesses would be empty.
Yeah who would want to be working at store that is about to get torched?
I think the announcement should have been done during the day but requesting/ordering ordering business to close first…. The looting would have happened either way, but something about night time that is making this worse.
I was told that schools asked for at least 3 hours notice before the announcement was made so they could let the kids out early if need be because they felt a responsibility to see that kids got home safely. I suppose they could have wanted folks a chance to get home from work and hunker down as well. That was probably a good idea. The burning and looting was going to happen anyway at nightfall.
It’s worse at for sure! Scary as hell. Knowing what they/we had witnessed in Ferguson in August…maybe kids should have been home and offices/businesses closed. Then that opens up whole bunch of other issues. And I believe this would still have happened. It seems to be 100x worse at night. Everything about it sad.
Oh hell no…. They are looting Toys R Us and Taco Bell.
Oh hell no. They are looting Toys R Us and Taco Bell.
Why should the rest of society buy their Christmas gifts when they can get them for free? LOL
Word
And the Dollar Store! Good Lord.
this is a small group of people who live in ferguson who are doing the looting.
Exactly.
Well, sounds like I was wrong. Sigh.
#JesusFixIt
Agreed.
Should be easy to round them up and put them on trial then. Especially with the media filming it all right?
With face recognition and all that, one would think so. Lots had their faces covered reminding me of ISIS somehow.
I am for sure in the shitter now. Just calling it like I see it though.
I agree. I just hope no one is hurt at least. Don’t know what the symbolism would be of killing more people…
Oh, people are already hurt. Hurt people hurt people. I don’t understand the symbolism connection, but more a statement of how not to get what you want. The true civil rights activist abhorred violence. Forget Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, they perpetuate the problem. Think Martin Luther King, he was the MAN.
I think a commenter earlier said looting was ‘symbolic’ of their frustration or something. I’m just running with how stupid that sentiment is. No one should be hurt or wronged through protests like this. To make Australian news just shows how crazy it is.
I am not willing to run with how “stupid” a fellow commenter is concerning race relations, since it’s not my experience, and to call them stupid is just stupid (to me). I can agree though, that I do not understand that sentiment. <3
That’s fine I’ll spew enough rhetoric for the both of us. You can be the sensible one. 😉
OMG, I love you so much! I get to be the sensible one? I am in Nirvana already!
Well someone has to steer this ship safely and I’ve been drinking all day so…. 😀
Well, blimey mate, let me steer awhile! Go throw a shrimp on the barbie and leave these pesky American race relations to someone that lives with it. What will we be drinking with these succulent shrimp, I’m all in!
CNN and Fox are not telling half of it. I’m listening to the Furguson police scanner. These people are piggy backers to the actual protesters that care. They are out of control and Furguson doesn’t have enough police to handle what’s going on. They can’t even get down some streets because every business on both sides of the road are on fire!
Wasn’t the point of activating the guard to help with unrest? Are they going to wait until the entire town is burned to the ground first?
Obama as president has just exacerbated any and every racial issue. The emperor has no clothes. We no longer respect him; pure embarrassment. He is no leader to blacks or whites. Our next president will be Latino-Obama is making sure of that with his immigration “come on in”! Australia is my new home. bye
New Zealand would be the bomb.
Yep. I agree. Time for Oz.
Wow that was racist!
We don’t want your kind down here. Go to Canada please.
Forgive me, but what was racist in Justso’s comment?
@Micheal ~ Don’t worry, I’m thinking New Zealand 🙂
I assume the latino comment. New Zealand has some employment issues but other than that it’s apparently an amazing place to live.
Are you kidding me? New Zealand is Nirvana!
I said that lol. However, Australia gets a lot of New Zealand immigrants coming over here looking for jobs. The ones I know would never have left if they didn’t struggle with that aspect.
You are totally blowing my New Zealand bubble! Damnit man!
Ooops, sorry Justo!
Don’t let the door hit ya… actually please allow me to hold it for you. I love it when people like you seem to think that any of us actually care about your fake threats to “leave”. Girl bye. Better off anyway.
LOL I didn’t see you were already up at the door when I offered. We’re nothing if not polite here.

My comment was to “justso” btw…
It is not a small group. There were over 100 cars at Toys R Us. The police had to retreat and wait for additional cars. There are thousands of people causing this damage. I’m listening to the scanners live.
St. Louis County PD is live tweeting. Just little bits on Fires, Shooting etc
You can download the app for the scanner. They are now calling for more police divisions to come assist in Furguson because they don’t have enough for all the looting, fires, burglaries, shooting and general mayhem. They even need backup at a police station. Linwood, I belive.
100 cars at Toys R Us?? Yep, police knew people were going to do their holiday shopping. Honey, look what Daddy looted for you..
Now police are being blamed for the violence and looting. Wtf? People think this behavior makes a statement, and it does. Reinforces the negative opinions that are in need of positive change.
They get them out of one business and move to clear the next and more looters are back at the business they just cleared looting again. They need every police car available in a 100 mile radius. On top of it all they are getting calls of depressed people being more depressed due to the verdict and threatening suicide.
Oh dear
Blocks and blocks of looting. They are now pulling officers off the riot line and putting them on patrol because the looters are now breaking into private residences. They just looted a Mobile and every car is going to the Save A Lot. I’m sure they have Thanksgiving menus on the them for their forgotten ingredients. Black Monday going on instead of Friday.
A police officer has been shot, watching local station on computer. reporters on way to hospital.
Oh god. I hope no one gets hurt…
I’m sorry but I have to LOL at the comment of “small group doing the looting.” Denial. Over 50 climbing over a wall into an apartment complex, Emerson Apartments. That’s just one call. Omg, they are at the K-Mart now.
Since they are breathing into apartments and private residencies, are you safe jodiping?
Breaking
Small in comparison to the thousands that were outside of the courthouse awaiting the decision. Regardless if it’s one person or fifty people, looting is wrong and has overshadowed the decision.
Llooking for a white station wagon with paneling and tinted windows! Firing at officers. Now that’s a get away car.
I wonder how everyone will feel seeing the destruction in the morning!
They will probably be wanting Taco Bell. I know I would.

Yes, thanks. I don’t live in MO but I’m there several times a month with the hubby on business. I also have contributed funds to a business that was hit hard by the storms last spring. We are suppose to go next week.
Too much craziness for me! Off to bed. Goodnight everyone.
G’night Angel(?) Sweet dreams 🙂
They need to surround the whole city with every officer they can round up from every city and state force and just advance and push them all to one spot. they are too spread out for them to control. Just my opinion. Some are now breaking into City Hall.
Bevy ~ I think that perhaps too many people have commented on that one run, because I’m not able to respond either (I’m not sure tho, it’s just a guess). In reference to your comment, “it is symbolic – not to be confused with right or wrong. Think about it! Your responses are about right versus wrong.” I respect what you’re saying, Bevy, but I still disagree.
To me, SYMBOLIC BEHAVIOR is Ms. Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat on the bus to a white person. THAT behavior was justifiable, honorable and peaceful (on her part anyway) and that type of behavior is what garnishes MY respect for the injustices and REAL racist/discriminatory behavior that is occurring. The animalistic behavior I’m witnessing on CNN and FOX News channels does NOT garner anything from me except disgust, contempt, and derision.
I cringe to think that Michael Brown will now be made a martyr for “the movement”, when the Martyr Status’ should be reserved for people like Ms. Parks, Ms. Daisy Bates, Mr. Ralph Bunche, and of course the Late, Great Dr. Martin Luther King.
Everyone of those civil righrs heroes (who are true heroes) are rolling around in their graves. Saddening to think all they fought so hard for is in vain.
ITA, mrsgsp, and I will say thank you too.
Perfect response. Thank you.
There has already been am officer shot in ferguson and is on the way to the hospital. I have read the evidence that was released and i truly don’t see wtf people are upset about. Michael brown has been proved to have strong armed a store, assualtEd an officer, and then foolishly charged the officer not once but twice. There are several cases in america that are better examples of injustice and changes needed. But this was not one of them. Then as America and the world watches ferguson, any bit of hope of change and bridging racial gaps have been burned as buildings, police cars and bikes are ablaze. I pray for every leo working scared and outnumbered to keep us safe tonight and the days ahead. As people protest leos, remember they are the ones on the front lines protecting you from the vultures that want to shoot, cause violence and loot. They are the ones running in as you are running out. Their wives are the ones on their knees praying with every ounce of their being that they catch a glimpse of their husbands on the news so they know he is safe all while praying that by some miracle he isn’t anywhere near the violence. Who looks at that plain christmas tree in the corner and hopes that he comes back home on thanksgiving or after to decorate it with his kids like he promised.
Mrsgsp, well said. Guiliani said 93% of crime against blacks are done by blacks. The police are there to protect those very people looting. I always fear that police will think twice to do their jobs and think just let them kill each other….
They should.
Agreed
Now the Shoe Carnival and the AT&T store. I just can’t….
Mrsgsp, I couldn’t agree more. These men and women are doing their jobs trying to protect the city and are right in the line of fire, literally. While these fools are shopping. My cousin is married to a sheriff that was ran over, backed over and ran over again in the line of duty. She now lives with a husband that has brain injuries among other things. It changed her life, she has a husband with no memory, in constant pain on medications and had to retire. She cannot even trust him to watch their two children while she runs to the store for milk.
They don’t recieve the respect, credit or pay for what they do everyday.
Cosign.
I agree. I’m very sorry for your friend. The trooper that was murdered in atlanta a few years ago was a close friend of my husband and I. Seeing his son walk to his casket in his dad’s trooper hat that was so big it was falling over his eyes will forever break my heart. There are some that are power trip assholes but most are good people who risk theit lives for thankless people.
I completely agree, my brother is a police officer and I find it appalling that I make more a year sitting behind my comfy desk in my office and planning events then he does. My biggest worry most days is where should we order lunch from.
WTF is wrong with people? Who has the energy to go out and do this shit? The best way to get people to close their ears and minds to your cause is to act like a damn fool, which is what these idiots are doing. Thanksgiving is a few days away. I’m thankful to live in a country that will allow me to peacefully protest something, come to a blog/city council meeting/media/etc. and voice my opinion. I’m thankful I don’t live in a place where saying the wrong thing will result in someone poisoning me, throwing me into some hell hole jail, throwing acid in my face, stoning me to death, or calling me a traitor and executing me. Anyone that goes out and does this shit takes their freedoms for granted, especially when they are protesting a decision made in a court of law and trying to rob someone of their civil liberties. Did this police officer rob someone of their life? I don’t know, I wasn’t there, but a grand jury who listened to all the evidence said no.
and when I say protesting, I mean looting, vandalizing, and stealing.
I agree. I’m very sorry for your friend. The trooper that was murdered in atlanta a few years ago was a close friend of my husband and I. Wrote cousin but phone changed to friend. Auto correct hates me.
Agree!
Amen. I don’t understand protesting a court’s decision but I’m forever thankful that I can voice my displeasure with our nation and know I will not be killed. Americans lose sight of how blessed we truly are!
I know some may not know and for others it may be a regional expression, but in the south it is considered rude/disrectful/ or uncouth to call a peace officer, a policeman/ policewoman, a state trooper, or TDS officer, a deputy or a sheriff a “cop” UNLESS they are a actually a constable on patrol. It seems that the whole idea of RESPECT is lost. I was always taught “respect” is something you give to EVERYONE, it is not earned and it is given regardless of color, sex, race or income level, until they prove otherwise and then it can be lost. As I watch tv and read editorals online, it appears respect is something that is no longer important. …. Or maybe it has been redefined ….? So sad to see a loss of respect for oneself or other innocent people’s property.
Listening to Capt. Ron Johnson and Chief Belmar saying they did not expect anything of this magnitude to happen. They thought “it might be pretty quiet”….they “are very disappointed” with what has happened. I was shocked to hear this. Yesterday they said they had spent months preparing for this and felt they had a good strategy and assured the public they had it covered. I have no idea what they could have done, and I agree that saving lives is priority #1 and buildings #2, but geez hard to watch that. No lives were lost, that they are aware of. They said they’ll have a different strategy for tomorrow night. 🙁
I think their strategy was to build public relations of the past few months and clergymen and women and national guard help. Apparently they chose the wrong strategy. 🙁
It probably didn’t help to have Michael Brown’s stepfather screaming “Burn these bitches down” at the top of his lungs! Smh.
Correction,”this bitch”.
I was on Twitter & witnessed live-tweets from some who witnessed the shooting. They tweeted about the struggle at the vehicle & how they thought Wilson’s shots kept missing because Brown kept coming at him & he had no choice.
Within approximately 2hrs many death threats — if Tweets were not deleted & “I know where you live”. No doubt these eyewitnesses testified for the Grand Jury but I believe the holdup on announcement was due to relocating them (including kids that needed to be registered at new schools, personal data on social sites possible removed, etc.)
I’ve done my best to stick my head in the sand with this fuckfest but it seems like some major shit is going down in DTLA — I can of course hear the helicopters, but I’m also hearing the police yelling through megaphones. They’re repeatedly telling someone to move to the left, to the left (he keeps saying it twice which prompted my friend to say “Maybe it’s beyonce?!”)
I just laughed so loud!
Me, too! Thanks, Psylocke, for injecting some well needed comic relief.
I am the wife of a police officer who has been in law enforcement for 39 years now. He is one of the good guys. He treats all and I do mean all people the way he would want to be treated if the roles were reversed because that was something his father instilled in him when he began his career. I know that he would willingly do whatever necessary to protect the citizens that he is responsible for because I’ve ridden with him and seen him do it. Even had to crouch down in the floorboard of the cruiser when his captain said over the radio that shots had been fired and I needed to take cover while he was out of the car. He has missed many holidays, family gatherings, weekends and birthdays working for not much pay. I also know that there are bad officers just like there are bad teachers and preachers and businessmen. Bad officers should not wear a badge and should not be allowed to carry a gun. I despise them. They give all the hardworking, dedicated cops a bad name. The ones who come running when someone calls when they’ve been robbed, their family member has been injured, they’ve been involved in a car accident. These same cops are the ones who cry while holding a dying child that a drunk driver has killed. Or like my husband who pulled 5 people out of a burning building before the fire trucks got there. Not all police officers are racisist assholes. The ones that are need to be fired and never allowed to work in law enforcement. But when a Grand Jury determines by all the evidence that an officer was not guilty of murder then we need to accept the decision. Why riot and loot and burn your own community to the ground to show your anger and hatred on this case? I do believe that there have been cases where there has been justification for protest for this very thing, but just not for Mike Brown. I even agree with protesting peacefully when it is truly warranted. I pray for peace in this community but I see more turmoil for tomorrow. Even the clergy who have been very vocal for peaceful protests where absent tonight. Hopefully their presence will be felt today.
Hannah, god bless your husband. Unfortunately the shitty media has done nothing but incite or omit facts so the protesters dont know. Also, lets be honest. This was also about looting to loot. No protesting going on here. They gave these people too much credit…
Josie, I couldn’t agree more with you when it comes to the media. I was flipping back and forth last night between FOX and cnn (NOT capitalized for a reason), and I couldn’t believe the difference in the information!! I think if the media hadn’t been there with their cameras 24/7, this whole f*cking fiasco wouldn’t have grown as big as it did (from day 1). Do you really think al sharpton would have went to Ferguson if there’d been no cameras? Uhm, nope!
There was some dumbKunt “Monet” person on cnn last night that was “translating” was the Grand Jury had to say and she “felt like” and “wondered” why the cop “took it to the level he did”? “Why didn’t the cop just drive away”? I could NOT believe the absolute ignorance of these questions!! (TT, I’m very sorry if this violates commenting rules, but that dumbKunt had my blood boiling!!!)
Cops DO NOT “look the other way”, nor do they just “turn around and drive off” when someone doesn’t abide by your lawful commands. Their very job description mandates immediate action by the officer. The stupidity that was coming out of this woman’s mouth, was unf*cking real, and she was supposed to be an attorney!
***NEWSFLASH*** MICHAEL BROWN IS NOT and WAS NOT A VICTIM!! He was a punk-azz-BULLY. IF he had been a law-abiding citizen, he would have moved out of the middle of the street onto the side walk, as the Officer had instructed him to do (which is a lawful command). The REAL VICTIM here is Officer Wilson!!! This man has been painted in all kinds of ways, but he was simply doing his job.
I must also say that I feel bad for Michael Brown’s parents. Regardless of the good job we try to do raising our kids, some times they go to the left when we taught them to go to the right. I don’t think it’s fair to hold his parents fully responsible for his ill behavior, Michael Brown chose his fate by refusing a lawful order, then escalated the situation when he CHOSE to slam the Officer’s door back onto the Officer. We reap what we sow.
Justmyopine, good post. They purposely put out the incendiary story he was shot in the back over and over for ratings and they live to cover stories so they were thrilled to be covering this riot.
Same thing with meteorologists. They hype up storms so much just to get people to watch and you might get just a puddle. That is why many did not take hurricane Sandy seriously at first.
Shit is going down in downtown ATL. They were STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING INTERSTATE IN THE DARK earlier today. Somehow they all lived. Now they are still walking and protesting in ATL. The local news (11Alive for locals) is there and the protestors are screaming profanities at the camera so they had to cut away. ATL Police is so far doing a great job.
So they cut to Ferguson where they are burning cars again.
Such foolishness.

Regarding profiling, I call and say I saw a black guy wearing a red shirt running away with my TV and the police stop Asians and whites too in blue shirts. How is that effective?
JustMyOpine, if he was a law abiding citizen he would have been on the side walk in the first place.
My prayers are with the Brown family and everyone who is in the hot zone. May everyone be safe.
It is very sad to see that exactly what was expected behavior of thugs has tarnished the respectability of the lg number of good people with honest intentions to bring a closer look into the problem of race relations. I have seen many mentions of animals and black people looting and rioting these are just plainly bad people rioting there are far more peaceful black people protesting in marches or quietly at churches or home than the outlandish fools who stomp upon the contributions of those who honestly just want to make a difference in their community.whether this was the right platform to stand up for race relations or police relations with the black community maybe not I think there have been far more compelling situations to put so much effort behind where the victim was a true inocent victim but if nothing else comes of this maybe at least it will get us to at least talk about these racial issues and make some small measure of change
It was the Brown family who told the protesters to burn the bitch down, referring to Ferguson, after the indictment was read. It seems to me the people who need prayers are those who have the unfortunate luck of crossing the Brown’s path. That family is evil.

Local checking in! Last night was truly worst than any night we had in August. Last I heard 12 businesses in Ferguson were destroyed by fire. 3 people were shot (including a University City police officer – not in Ferguson so not sure about the relation) 20-30 businesses in Ferguson and in South St Louis City were vandalized and/or looted.
I’m so incredibly disappointed in our local leaders, WHY wasn’t the national guard sent out much earlier than they were? By 930 2 cop cars were on fire, by midnight 8 business were on fire (and firefighters were pulled away from the fires because they were being SHOT at), and yet the national guard wasn’t sent out until after 2am! WTF?!?!?!? Belmar and Johnson are idiots! We should have been prepared for exactly what happened. For months the leaders of our daily “peaceful protesters” have told us exactly what would happen if there was a no true bill. Exactly what they have been saying for months happened. Hell Sunday night after a group was “peaceful protesting” they spray painted a statue saying “we burn, you burn”. They told us the night before they were going to BURN down the city. For months there have been threats from protesters of burning down Ferguson!
Some of the tear gas, looting happened very close to my house and it was honestly the scariest night of my life. I’m positive it’s going to be as bad or worse for the next couple of days at least.
I hope you stay safe and they have a much better handle on it tonight. Last night was despicable and everyone involved should feel ashamed.
I love MO. My husbands family is from Hannibal and we spend tons of time in different cities while the hubby is there on business.
Thanks for checking in Jaysmom. Glad you are okay.

He then showed a live view of cops preventing a row of shops from being destroyed. She raged harder & said I want the “National Guard to save the black businesses” / “see this is what we’re so angry about”!!
Thanks for keeping us posted, TT.
I am state police officer and have been for the last 19 years. I work in a northern state and luckily we only had peaceful protests last night. What infuriates me is how the media keeps portraying this situation. The “unarmed teenager” was a 6’4″ 300 lb 18 year old who refused to obey the lawful order of a peace officer and then assaulted that officer. He was not “gunned down” in the street by the officer, he was killed in self defense after trying to take the officers weapon. The number one way officers die is gun shot wounds BY THEIR OWN WEAPON. I’ve been a SWAT officer and a vice officer and I know by experience that when things go bad they go bad quickly and you have to rely on your training to make sure you make it home at night. I’m a 5’1″ 115 lb white female and I have had my ass kicked more times than I can count, and luckily my training has always saved my life.
Remember, for every action there is a reaction. Had Michael Brown obeyed the officers commands, he would be here today. 1 life is gone and 1 life is ruined for no reason and that is the tragedy here. Parents need to teach their children respect for the law.
I will step off my soap box now……
You stand on that soapbox as long as you want to, Harleigh. You’ve more than earned that right. Thanks for going to work every day to protect us.

I add my gratitude to you and all police officers who stand between us and anarchy. Your comments came from a place of first hand knowledge and experience — unlike so many others who have posted.
Well said, and thank you. We definitely need change in this country, but Michael Brown is not the poster boy for change that all these people are trying to make him out to be. He was a thug and had he just obeyed the officer’s orders, none of this would have happened. My heart breaks for the officer and his family. And, while I’m on my soap box, every news commentator playing Monday morning quarterback on the shooting needs to shut up. The officer didn’t have the privilege of sitting around reviewing facts, watching video, contemplating outcomes. I enjoyed seeing the CNN commentators acting like big babies because of the tear gas. That scared and upset you all? Try a 300 pound aggressive teenager coming at you after already punching you and trying to get your gun. Then I’ll Monday morning quarterback your reaction.
Harleigh thank you for your service and your courage. You embody what true law enforcement stands for as well as my husband. You make me proud to be associated with law enforcement.
Thank you for your service, Harleigh.
I sense, though you may be small, that you’re wound tight. Your size has nothing to do with your stature, at least in my eyes. You put it all out on the line for us every day you work, because you’re driven to serve and protect us. That, is the work of a hero.
May God bless you and always protect you.
Thank you, all of you, for your kind words and support. It means a lot to me. Not all officers are power hungry, blood thirsty pigs. Most of us are just trying to make a difference and help people. I’m home again, safe after a long night 🙂
On the prior Ferguson thread, several people commented on their personal experiences regarding crazy people trying to get police officers to shoot them. They were too chicken to commit suicide. What did Mike Brown think was going to happen when he trapped the officer in his car and struggled over his gun? Can you imagine what thoughts must run through an officers mind in the few seconds they have to make a life and death decision? The crazy thing is, if Mike would of just moved out of the road and let the officer pass, he would of gotten away with his life and his ROBBERY. According to a witness report, Mike’s friend had a friend in the complex they were in front of. Oh my lord what a fucked up situation we have now!
Journalism is dead.

Today don lemon is going on a rant about bloggers saying they are causing problems and have nothing to do with the situation and shouldn’t be at the press conference, even calling them “outside agitators”. I just can’t with this fool…
I knew this was somehow my fault.

It’s 7am here in OZ and it’s all over the news. Looks a little better than I expected but still looks like it was a very rough night. I’m glad no one was seriously injured (that is what was reported) and I hope the people who appear to be trying to stir everyone up to ‘protest’ again are charged for inciting violence and looting.
And after all this attention over a thug getting shot after a robbery, we still have people looting which ironically started this whole fiasco to begin with. Like I posted in August, why are blacks choosing this battle to stand behind? As soon as that video of Michael stealing and pushing around the store guy came out, it was a wrap at that point for most people, BLACK & white. But some black people choose to ignore the video as if that does not somehow relate to a run in with a cop and a dead guy. Umm ok, so we went along with the charade of using this situation to state what is wrong with black america and now that the protest ended horribly good luck getting help for the next real battle worth fighing. Have we not learned anything from the southern states, that racism cannot fight racism?
I’m so sad to see what has happened. This “unarmed teen” was a large young man. I have no doubt he was reaching for Wilsons gun and would have shot and killed him. Why is the fact that he had just robbed a store and defied Officer Wilsons order to get out of the street being ignored? This is all just sad. People’s businesses are gone now…their way to make a living, to support their own family who most likely now will not rebuild thus hurting the economy of Ferguson. Just unbelievable…and in all of this mess my nephew and his wife delivered a beautiful baby boy shortly after midnight…brought into the world on a night of unrest. Pray for peace.
Tamara thanks for your updates etc…I do appreciate your telling it like it is!
I obviously didn’t know Officer Wilson, but I can guess he didn’t
set out to work that day planning on killing someone. I’ve been involved in shootings and its horrible. When I go to work I pray that I do not get in any alterations and that I have all positive interactions with everyone I come across. A few years back, one of our local city police officers was shot and killed after approaching two young men he witnessed conducting a drug deal. The guy who shot him was 15 years old. I never saw national coverage or outrage over the officers’ murder.
My most painful on duty injury came from a lovely 16 year old boy. He hit me so hard in.the face he broke my cheekbone.
Teenagers are dangerous too. Let the media talk about that for a moment.
I agree with you. I have family in law enforcement who put their lives on the line daily. There was NO respect for authority on Mike Browns part. If a police officer told me to get out of the street onto the sidewalk I would do so..period..end of story.
I can’t believe what I saw on my timeline earlier today. Some hacking group posted the cops social security number, master card & visa CC number and said “Xmas time”. That cop is going to have deal with identity theft problems for decades now. #SMDH. What the fuck is wrong with people? I’m really hating people a lot this week.
That’s horrible.
Don’t forget the New York Times publishing his address. Sick.
OMG. I did not know that. I hope you are mistaken about that. That’s horrible.

I am listening to The Ed Show on MSNBC. He just the dumbest comment. OUTRAGED that Officer Wilson is ALREADY talking to the media! WTF! The man has endured all kinds of accusations and threats for months without being able to tell his side or defend himself. For months we have listened the Mike Brown camp talked to the media. STOP FANNING THE FLAMES YOU SUPPOSED JOURNALISTS!
Wtf is wrong with these people. Browns family is all over our news yelling and screaming but the cop and his family can’t comment? So stupid.
At another site they posted tweets from people who showed compassion for the cop and his family so that trolls could attack them.

I just heard some guy being interviewed on CNN call Michael Brown a “child”.
Also, that the prosecutor on the grand jury didn’t present the evidence “properly”, meaning they didn’t get the answer they wanted, so of course, it was done incorrectly and therefor justice denied.
I can’t make this stuff up…
A little more subtle, but there’s bias involved nonetheless, in a news tease for a special report which was to be aired this evening. The following was played approximately every thirty minutes today for AT LEAST seven hours straight (as my wife, daughter and I drove from Chicago to Ohio today to be with my wife’s mother and sibs):
“Prosecutor FAILS to indict police officer, Darren Wilson”.
FAILS? The prosecutor didn’t fail! Grand jury members heard, examined and considered all of the facts and witness testimonies pertaining to this case, and arrived at a decision. Success!
The press is vested in this up to its asses, and as liberals typically do, they support the perp and demonize the victim. It occurs so frequently that its practically predictable.
NBC was saying that all day yesterday too. It was awful.

Ok now someone on MSNBC, I think he is with the NAACP Darren Wilson, saying that the prosecutor intentionally released the verdict at 9:00pm because he wanted a riot!
Yes. that sentiment about trying to cause a riot by deliberately delaying the announcement has been all over the media. The same media who has been reporting all week that there would be a delay of six hours before the decision was announced to give everyone time to prepare.

But now the media is “questioning” why it was delayed further than the delay people were expecting.
It wasn’t the verdict was at 2 and the announcement was at 8 (central time). I think the media just can’t do math.

Can you say civil suit? Yes it’s been confirmed they are going to file one!
I really hope they don’t get anything. Or whatever they get is transferred to the business owners who have lost everything, especially tbe convenience store that Michael Brown robbed. In the words of Brown’s stepfather that I just saw on the news ‘burn this bitch down’. Well if that isn’t a civil suit for inciting looting and violence I don’t know what is.
When I saw that I thought he needs his ass handed to him and he needs to be charged with inciting a riot.
If my business was burned to the ground I would find a way to go after him.
Sunny Host in needs to get a grip on herself. I’m laughing at her and Mark Furhman going back and forth. I’m sorry but I find the reporting crazy!
National media members were being assaulted last night in Ferguson! One guy was robbed at gun point, One was car jacked and sever others left because rocks/bricks were being thrown at them. All that took place during their “peaceful protesting”.
Last night wasn’t as destructive as Monday night but still pretty violent. 2 FBI agents were shot overnight while executing a search warrant on the suspect that shot the police officer on Monday night.
They increased the national guard to 2200 yesterday and they can be seen keeping post ALL over the city and county, including MY JOB. It’s just very surreal that all this is going on still when ALL the evidence has been released showing that the officer was not wrong in his actions. No one wants to see/hear/read the actual evidence. I’m being told that it’s all a lie, witnesses were coerced to testify to back up Wilson’s story.
Stay safe, Jaysmom. 🙁
