We’re only two seasons in and Nene is already doing exactly what I said she would. If you recall, there was a lot of discussion by production about what to do, or what not to do with Nene and Porsha. It became obvious that neither one fit in with the cast anymore and the decision about what to do with Porsha was simple. She had no storyline. She could be dropped. But what about Nene? Despite the fact that Nene no longer fit in either, she’s Nene and she has a broad fan base. So it was decided she would have a different sort of contract where she was filmed doing her thing and only occasionally had contact with the others. Cynthia’s stock was up as she was renewing a friendship with Kenya and would also film well with Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney. Also on the outside was Phaedra. Phaedra has a major storyline with the Apollo situation this season, but also is not really fitting in with the other ladies. So to review, We have the nucleus of the show, Cynthia, Kenya, Claudia and to a degree Demetria, (AKA Team Pretty), we have Kandi who will pretty much film with whoever but also has her Mama Drama storyline that Bravo thinks we are into, and then Nene and Phaedra. Kandi hops on the Team Pretty train, which alienates her further from Phaedra. So the decision was made to bring Porsha back to film with Nene and Phaedra.
We’re going to see scenes of Nene with Porsha getting filled in on what the main cast is doing. And Porsha with Phaedra getting filled in on what the maid cast is doing. Kandi will be all over the place at first but eventually settles in with Cynthia, Claudia, Demetria and Kenya. It won’t surprise me if Nene disappears all together by the time the season is about mid way through and we don’t see her again until she rehearses for Cinderella.
All that is to introduce Nene’s blog this week. She is beginning her spin that she has been screaming for weeks, ever since these production issues arose, about how she is above everyone else and can’t be bothered with these women (the show) anymore because of all of her fabulous jobs. And so it begins…
We’ve got one woman working woman in Vegas at Zumanity doing something different and out of the box, while the others sit around a bar to gossip and lie. We have a broken friendship that has affected one woman’s marriage and a career because it took so much energy, yet the other relocates to different cities with her husband and child to work and start new business ventures. We have one husband with no respect for his wife and children. We have a provoking bully that wants you to now believe she’s a victim. I can’t keep up, but I know you can, so why worry about people that talk behind your back? They’re behind you for a reason, right? With that said, there’s no need for me to waste words on people that deserve my silence. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is nothing, so I’ll let you be the judge. Speak on it!
Tune in next week because you know the THIRST IS REAL, HUNNI! Isn’t it sad how quickly friends become your enemy?
First of all, I am saddened that she is still apparently “homeschooling” Brentt and dragging him to drag shows and orgies. I think that Gregg needs to be in Atlanta with his son getting him to school everyday rather than carrying Nene’s purse for her. He can fly up for opening nights, but there is no need for Gregg or Brentt to be there for all the rehearsal days and months of shows. That’s just the teacher in me I suppose. Your mileage will vary. But kids have a hard enough time not missing things just moving from one district to another. Trying to “go to school” as a teenaged boy in Vegas. Anyway, we can expect a whole season of Nene trashing her cast mates in blogs. This is just the first.
Also, I cannot fathom Bravo not giving their number one show a new intro. I’m thinking we will see one later in the season, with different folks in it. 🙂
