The dad is in a coma. This is his eternal nightmare. Every name and person that appears is someone he knew in life, both family and friends. The serial killer is actually the dad’s subconscious lashing out against the endless nightmare and personifies both his rage and insanity, as he constantly and brutally murders and corrupts the “show” and “actors” in attempts to make it all end. This is why the killer has no name, and super-imposes over the dad in the final scene, because the dad IS the killer. Smarf is the true villain, another creature with no real name or person behind him, the soul-less autonomous demon representing the sickness and suffering the dad is going through. Smarf tries to keep the show going despite the dad’s efforts to kill off the cast/corrupt and ruin the show at every turn, constantly changing the genre and adding more and more onto it to keep the dad/killer off beat and going so far as to terminate the serial killer outright and break character when he gets too close to succeeding. That dad even experiences is a moment of clarity where he sees himself in a hospital bed, aware of his condition, sparking a spastic episode where everything is turned to chaos and insanity. In the end Smarf wins by hitting the reset button, putting the show back in motion and to be continued again… and again…. and again….
One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. Do yourself a favor: Watch all 11 minutes. It just gets crazier and crazier. Do not quit after 2-3 minutes.
This is what hell must be like.
So…. um…. your thoughts?
Ohhh….please don’t say again ??? Ackk for this ….washing down this with cheap wine ….eeeccckkk
^^^^^ Obviously not a cool kid. 🙂

This is great! Thanks for sharing, TT. I loved all the references and esp how that one person got all meta with the explanation. This song is going to be stuck in my head now.
By the way, TT, I just started watching Madame Secretary. I am so hooked.
