Teresa Giudice Fabellini Appearance Cancelled !

October 4, 2014 by tamaratattles 74 Comments

RHONJ Tre Winedown

Just yesterday several of the usual suspects were announcing that Teresa Giudice would be continuing her usual schedule of meet and greets with her fans. She was scheduled to be at a New Jersey restaurant on Wednesday to take photos with fans and sign Fabellini bottles. Some sites even claimed Joe would be there with here.  I didn’t find this news particularly shocking as the Giudices  are shall we say a bit cash strapped at the moment and Teresa needs every gig she can get.

However about an hour ago, a media outlet for the event announced that Teresa’s event  has been cancelled.

Velocity 1 Media 54 minutes ago

**********IMPORTANT NOTE**********
Due to the recent, very unfortunate circumstances at hand,
#TERESAGIUDICE will Not be appearing at Bibi’z Restaurant | Lounge on October 8th. This event is Canceled. Disregard flyer below. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you all understand. Have a safe weekend.
Thank you,
#Velocity1Media

So, “very unfortunate circumstances at hand” is what we called getting a federal conviction these days?  Is felon the new “retard”? Why can’t anyone say what they mean anymore. And who cancelled? The venue or Teresa?

Do you think Teresa is finally having a breakdown over all of this? It will be interesting now to see if she still shows up for the reunion tomorrow. My understanding for their contract is that the housewives are contracted at a rate per episode, and the reunion is X (where x = pay per episode) times the number of reunion shows. So the day of the reunion is a larger percentage of their overall season contract. Especially this season when there were less episodes.  For example on longer seasons where there are 25 episodes including 3 reunion shows, they make 12% of their contract in one long ass day.  But if there were only 15 episodes with 3 reunion shows, like it is starting to look like this season will be closer to, it’s 20% of their entire contract if they do not show to the reunion.  I don’t see Tre not showing up for that.

So do you think Teresa is cancelling her events? Or are the venues? Either way all parties involved had to know this was going to be the situation when the booking occurred. She pled guilty.

If I owned a venue that she was booked at. I would cancel. I would want my “brand” (as so many call it now a days) affected by association….

Half of me thinks she cancelled. I don’t think she is ready to face people or questions by people out of a controlled environment. Those people screaming at her when she was leaving court was probably scary to her. Btw.. I think it was awful saying things like that to her.

The other half of me thinks the venue cancelled. But then why would they? She pled guilty months ago. And I’m sure this was booked after them pleading. So, I think I’m leaning more towards the idea she cancelled.

I’m thinking this one Teresa probably cancelled. I always just try to really put myself in these people’s shoes. Even though I would never be in her situation, I can imagine the devastation she must be feeling nonetheless. Especially since she most likely is still struggling greatly with even seeing herself as responsible, and instead as a victim of some sort. The shock and reality that she is going away must be hitting her very hard right now. Not enough time has passed for her to even begin processing this yet.

The reunion is a VERY different situation than an event in some restaurant/lounge like this. Reunion is a controlled environment, it’s being filmed so it can be edited if someone says or does anything bad…she can take breaks & run into a dressing room to cry, pop Xanax or flip out. ANYone can show up to these wine events & by anyone I mean all sorts of people whom aren’t controlled by Bravo. Ppl who dislike what she did, others whom HATE what she did, ppls whose lives have been affected in MUCH worse ways than a mere 15 months for criminal acts MUCH less than what she did…and they’re pissed…and aren’t afraid to voice their opinions. Or maybe even toss something at her.
    She. Is. Scared.
I can’t say I blame her…IMHO I think she canceled or was advised to, and it was a smart move (for once) so ya it was def someone else’s advice lol. She’s not known for being too bright. Isn’t she filming WWHL now?? She is going THERE…Bc it’s controlled & she kinda trusts Andy Cohen a lot more than some random restaurant owners about whom gets to be in her vicinity. Think it’s a safety issue.

Caroline is my favorite and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t follow me. I don’t think any of the RHOA follow me except maybe Kenya. They all read here though.

Most of them read everything said about them anywhere online. I try not to think about that because it would probably make me be a nicer person and we don’t want that to happen. 🙂

I think Teresa was advised by her counsel to stay out of public view and communicated to venues after she told the federal judge that she’s no interested in TV, which includes making appearances. If Teresa shows the judge that she doesn’t care about keeping her word to the judge on that statement, she won’t get any chance of benefits such as early release for good behavior. How can Teresa have the nerve to get out in public styling and profiling after being a convicted felon waiting to do serious time in the pen? Not a good look. LOL!

Her “good behavior” begins when she gets to college. The judge has no say in that, that is up to the warden, and unless Tre shivs someone in the communal shower she will get her 15% time off for good behavior.

She is free to work as much as she wants until then. And should to the extent she can in order to begin reparations.

Her lawyers job is done. They are no longer advising her at this point.

Oh I think she cancelled for sure. I think she wants to be tough but she’s likely crying like a baby right now and is too depressed to fake it. Please look at the first picture above of Teresa’s grimace. Does that not look strained? She has always had a forced smile in most photos I’ve seen of her. But the above photo is very telling that she is under a lot of pressure and she looks like she’s saying “fuck you all” under her breath. She’ll probably be hauled off in an ambulance the day before she is due to turn herself in. And I agree with everyone who says she is terrified right now. I do feel sorry for her.

BH, I was shocked too with their continuing to lie to the court!! Unbelievable! It has to be their criminal sub-culture that makes them oblivious fools. Instead of robbing convenience stores, they run down to their convenient paper forger. They know of many people/friends who get away with the same crimes all the time. Even Joe said if they hadn’t have been on TV nobody would have cared. So they get to be the sacrificial lambs to teach that community a lesson. All of the NJ cast know what’s going on and some more intimately. How come we never see Joe Gorga “at work” like we see Caroline’s husband? I bet they’re shaking in their boots (and their criminal cohorts) wondering when the Feds will come a knockin’ on their doors. I can feel the tremors.

Enjoy isn’t the right word. More then that, it’s not their misery that most people are glad to see. I think if we’re enjoying anything, it’s that the justice system applies to celebrities and “normal people”. I mean, if I heard some random couple from my city was sent to prison for doing the same thing, I’d be glad justice was served. I wouldn’t be like “oooh I’m so glad random people are unhappy now!” I’d feel that they’re getting what they deserve, good job justice system!

The court has an obligation to preserve families and act in the best interest of the children. Tre and Joe committed non violent albeit despicable crimes. They were not running a meth lab, selling child porn, or involved in prostitution (unless you count Bravo). To involve DCFS, costs the taxpayers a lot of money. If both parents are in prison at the same time, the kids get TANIF, food stamps, and medicaid. If they were presenting any danger to the kids, those kids would have been out of the house way before the trial.
What they did was horrible; they are going to be punished. Their lives are now in limbo, plus Joe has the threat of possible deportion hanging over his head. As sarcastic and nasty as I can be in the comments, I want only the best for those children.

This is not a custody case. This is a federal fraud case. The judge is under no obligation to consider the welfare of the children. That is the parents job. Plenty of kids have two parents in jail.

I just don’t comprehend people who think kids are their secret get out of jail free card. It blows my mind.

It is BS she gets to wait until after New Years.
I really don’t think her serving time will change much. I think she will always be trying to take the easy way out and take whatever short cuts she can to get what she wants. She will always feel entitled and above the law. I am sure that right now she feels she is being done wrong and will never really own the wrong she has done.
I wonder what scam she will be doing next.

Fivecats, I do agree with what you say often, and much if your post I agree with, but I have to point a few things out:
First, no, the Judge DOES NOT have an obligation to take care of the kids’ welfare. They were being tried on forty-some federal charges. Nothing to do with their kids. (I mean, except for the perjury stuff of not honestly accounting for all their assets like Gia’s giant ring, etc.) This is not family court, no obligation to consider the kids at all.
***IMO, I respect the Judge and how she dealt with this knowing her decision would be under a microscope. They were lucky she even allowed letters in support of the two (who already admitted their guilt). They were even luckier she staggered their sentences. I don’t think most people get that benefit.
Second, they’ve specifically addressed the scenario ON NATIONAL TV of where the kids would go if both went to jail (family–remember all those letters in support of their character?)
Third, yeah, I’m glad we all care about the kids BUT MAYBE TERESA & JOE SHOULD’VE THOUGHT ABOUT THEM BEFORE COMMITTING ALL THEIR FELONIOUS ACTS!!!

Oh they deserve prison all right, but do you want your tax dollars supporting those kids while the Joodices are in prison? I certainly did not want Teresa to have house arrest.

I really don’t care that the judge staggered their sentences. But that was a gift just like the stupid consideration of Christmas. It’s not the norm.

Their kids wouldn’t be out on the street, though!
      And yeah, Christmas consideration–stupid!

I bet deep down bro Joe and Melissa are relieved they won’t be having to take the four kids in.

They definitely were given special treatment. But when the judge waived her merciful gavel, it was due to the fact that although this is white collar crime, they are not the brightest as white collar crime goes since most financial fraud occurs on the corporate level. They were totally out of their league and woefully ignorant, it’s almost laughable what they tried to get away with. The judge just did the math, they weren’t career criminals, their intelligence is dim at best, and they thought they didn’t anything wrong — one of those victim-less crimes. Similar to Apollo’s mentality and equally as ignorant. I see why the judge had mercy on them. They were out of control though and needed to be punished. Only somebody stupid or brilliant would try to defraud the banks and the IRS. I’d be as scared to do something like that as they are scared right now to go to prison.

Your comment was like seeing my thoughts on paper. (so to speak)

      Well said.

“Only somebody stupid or brilliant would try to defraud the banks and the IRS.” Great quote.

I was thinking, I wonder if this Judge has made similar accommodations in previous rulings? I doubt it’s a pattern.

Did she actually say that she’d let Teresa turn herself in later so she could spend Christmas with the family? If that Judge actually said that, I hope she’s ready to respect every other religious holiday. Ridiculous.

I no longer consider Christmas a religious holiday; it is so secular with the emphasis on presents, Santa and her seven little Rinos oops wrong Santa, the shopping. I know many people will disagree with me. I wonder if the let her stay home for Christmas ruling will set a precident.
The lesson learned is don’t ever appear on a reality show if you have commited any crime or have a skeletons in your closet, or a troubled marriage. Wait you won’t get hired.

I’m thinking that the venue is cancelling these events. I think maybe the ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Commission) would not look too fondly on any venue holding a money making event with a convicted felon. Perhaps that venue could have their liquor license revoked.

I think they got a very fair and lenient punishment. It is funny to me how Joe is now trying to be like he is a nice person, caring for his wife and children, when in the past he was always drinking and telling her to shut up, as well as the kids. I still think he is a pig and is just putting on a show right now for the courts. He always had a smart -a mouth and was very brash and abrasive. Teresa likes to play dumb, like she didn’t know what she was signing, but as someone else mentioned she knew how to push her products and develope her brand. I frankly had quit watching because of her and her antics.

Barbara you are so right about Joe. I had actually started to like him and couldn’t remember why I detested him. Then I watched some of the old shows over the weekend. Yuck, what a pig and cruel man he is. So all the nicey-nice we’ve been seeing is just for show and fake. I have to admit every time I see him all I hear is that gross uhhhh, ohhhh, ummmm he uttered on the phone in the vineyard. I’ll hear that till the day I die. lol
And playing the great dad now? Didn’t the family have to beg him to wake up to watch the girls open their Christmas presents IIRC?
