In this post, I hope to separated the facts of the last 36 hours or so from the fiction that most sites are reporting. Let’s start with the things on the Atlanta end of the situation, as they are the easiest to confirm or debunk.
FACT: Apollo Nida has not been at his former residence with Phaedra since Sunday, September 7, 2014.
This is not even debatable. I have a source with eyes on the house all day long, every day. More than one actually. When your neighbor films a television show at their home, that gets the neighbors talking. When the man of the house makes news for committing fraud and is sentenced to the federal penitentiary, you become on heightened alert counting the days until leaves. For the past couple of months, I received daily updates, photos and commentary on the comings and goings at Chez Parks-Nida. I know the comings and goings of the nannies, Bravo film crew, make-up wardrobe people, Bravo cars provided for filming. It’s all documented. My source is golden.
Yesterday when Phaedra and the boys returned from their trip to the beach, the Bravo crew was waiting to capture their return. The crew stayed for four hours. Around 4:30 two patrol cars arrived at the house. This has happened several times. in the past few weeks and in fact, just this morning two Comcast trucks arrived at the house to again work on the alarm. It’s new and malfunctioning and when it does the police are automatically sent. This happened yesterday. The cops were only there for five minutes.
Apollo Nida was not at the house. My sources immediately contacted me when the TMZ story came out to say that NONE of that happened. That information is false.Phaedra’s rep will not confirm or deny anything only cryptically admitting there was “an incident” after 4 pm. The only incident was the alarm. It is possible given that we now believe that Apollo was not in prison at that time that he could have called Phaedra on the phone. I have no idea. But Apollo has not been to the house since September 7th. TMZ also reported that Phaedra feared abuse in an earlier story. Also false. As I have said the whole family spent several days together over the Labor Day holiday so that Apollo could spend lots of time with the boys and his friends and family. There was no drama and no police were called.
I have no idea how Bravo will spin this. The cops were filmed by Bravo. They can make it into whatever they want. But nothing interesting happened at the house yesterday other than Bravo filming for three hours.
Because every single thing in the TMZ article was wrong. I did not place any credibility on their assertion that Apollo was “AWOL”
On to Lexington.
Yesterday I was blessed to have this idiot asshole with the 1976 leaf blower and all the time in the world show up next door at the buttcrack of dawn. I went back to bed about 10 am and got up around one to an exploding mailbox. My Lexington source emailed me that it was 12:10 and Apollo had not arrived. She said she and the local ABC affiliate were the only people there. The security at the gate told both of them they had to stay across the street to film. There were other cars with prison employees in sort of a mini convoy. At 12:35 a car they believed to be carrying Apollo Nida entered the gates and the convoy followed. The news truck packed up and left. My source noted the time and sent me a .mov file that shows a car entering the gate of the petitionary. When the report hit about Apollo being AWOL hit, my source said that it was hard to see into the car but she believes that Apollo was the passenger. Given that the news truck left and the convoy dispersed, what else could it have been?
The only “evidence” that Apollo did not show up is the BOP Inmate Locator. As of this writing, it still shows Apollo as not in custody. Clearly, the site only updates once a day. So that was no help. So far, I have TMZ’s factually in correct story, and the BOP Inmate Locator. Neither can be viewed as proof of anything.
This morning “Apollo” has posted both a tweet and an Instagram. The twitter with the hilarious misuse of the word “asunder” (split into pieces) sure sounds like him. But he could have left his email password with anyone. Same for the Instagram with the same bizarre message that ends with him promising that “we will hear from him soon.” In the Instagram he appears glassy eyed and perhaps high or drunk. The posts happened a 3:30 am.
My Lexington source says that it was pouring rain at that time in Lexington and questions why we don’t hear the rain on the video. I question the ability of someone to self-surrender at 3:30 am, drunk. Will all of the intake employees be there to do all the necessary check-in procedures? I would not think so.
When Apollo turned himself in remains a mystery at this point. I’ve seen several cites claiming that a “Deputy Marshall” stated that Apollo had not surrendered. That seems based on the Instagram postings to be true. However the same article thought the surrender time was 3 p.m. and was then moved to 8p.m. The Feds are not in the practice of extending he deadline to surrender so that the offender can get drunk.
Alan Duke at CNN spoke to a representative from the prison saying that he is in custody, but that person refused to say when he surrendered.
For me, the clusterfuck of bad reporting and posting of blatantly false information was appalling. When you create an elaborate story about Apollo showing up at the house, which neighbors have confirmed to me never happened. I’m certainly not going to believe that Apollo did not surrender as my source and the local new team seems to believe happened.
I’m hoping eventually the BOP Inmate Locator will update and there will at least be a DATE that the was taken into custody. This whole situation has been a bizarre trip down the rabbit hole.
Now if you will excuse me, I’ve been out in THE WORLD today and I’m exhausted and about to go asunder. 🙂
