This week Jade is back to dance for a week . Not much chit-chat before we go straight to pyramid. We have Chloe on the bottom because Abby openly despises her. Chloe came in second. For this she must be emotionally flogged. Next is Nia. Nia came in fourth and was in my opinion robbed. If she had done that same routine in a civilized costume and not encumbered by a fucking dog leash, she could have won. Next is Mackenzie. This shocking as she is the favorite. Maddie is next. Kendell actually gets the top of the pyramid! She had the overall high score last week.
This week is a very large competition. Studio Bleu will be there and they are major competition. Abby has decided to save the dance she originally wanted for nationals. She doesn’t think they will win at this competition. This is a strange move even for Abby. They have no group choreography ready to go for one of the biggest competitions of the season.
Chloe and Jade both have solos. Abby is only working with Jade. Chloe rehearses alone.
Abby has no idea what to do so she has the girl improve a dance about their greatest fears. Mackenzie is afraid of bugs. When her turn comes she can’t do it. Mackenzie has never been good at improve. Maddie tries to encourage her but it only makes it worse. Abby laughs at her. Mackenzie asks why she is laughing and Abby says. “Because I think you are ridiculous. Get out of here. Go up and sit with your mother!” Mackenzie has a meltdown. Melissa isn’t very supportive of Mackenzie. Holly is way more compassionate. Back downstairs Mackenzie confronts Abby about laughing at her. Abby throws Mackenzie out of the dance. She tells her she is benched and has to sit on the bench. It’s later determined that this whole deal with Mackenzie is really about what age group they would be competing in. Which doesn’t make much sense because pulling Mackenzie puts them in the older teen group. However, Abby is afraid to compete against Studio Bleu in the regular junior group.
Chloe’s choreography is not finished. Chloe is nervous about going head to head with Jade who is three years older and a national champion. Once they get to the competition they are stuck in the Teen group, and that is where Studio Bleu is dancing. The moms want Abby to put Mackenzie back in the dance so they can move down to juniors. Abby is fawning over Jade and has not even glanced at Chloe.
Jade’s solo was good. It was an Asian inspired acrobat dance. Chloe’s contemporary is up next. Her dance was fantastic. Chloe gave great performance, excellent facial expressions.
Abby gets pissy with Chloe for bumping into Maddie during rehearsal. This has everyone on edge right before they dance. Studio Bleu girls are huge and there are eight of them. Their routine was one of those creepy ones. I didn’t care for it at all and I thought they were not synchronized in large portions of the dance. The ALDC girls’ dance was kind of creepy too. But it was prettier and much more in synch. Also each dancer had a featured role which was really nice. I think they could win.
Chloe gets sixth place for her solo. That sucks. Jade took third place. Studio Bleu took first. The group dance took second place. Jade’s mom wants to pull her from ADLC.
Next week looks like two teams again. And possibly Nationals. Is it the finale next week? That seems fast.
The previews for next week were confusing to me… Did it look like Abby moved Chloe to the new elite team? Is she entering both into Nationals?
Not sure if it will be the season finale. ..but the title of the episode is “Chole Gets Revenge”. And God I hope so!!!!
Yay! I’d love if Chloe did really well at nationals.
She’s won before and Abby still was not impressed.

Chloe was robbed, 6th place? No way. Nia was robbed for sure. That was one of her best performance IMO. I didn’t like Studio Bleu dance at all. I don’t know that ALDS showed have been first.. but they were def better then Studio Bleu.
loo the real dance moms that comment here from time to time have pointed out that these are the overall placements. Nia and/or Chloe may have won first in their age groups, assuming they are in different categories. I believe the overalls are based on the point system out of 300. So lets say Chloe gets 295 in points wins and someone in another age group or category that she didn’t dance against won their group with 296 then she would score higher in the overalls.
Or something. I just woke up.

Firstly, I love love that they came here to comment!! Secondly, that makes me feel so much better especially for Nia and Chloe. Christy’s a witch but she is right about Abby having an irrational hate for Chloe. You can just tell she is a sweet girl (despite her mama). Abby is unreal. I used to give her the benefit of doubt but she is truly nasty beast in her blatant favoritism. But I still get mad when the moms call her fat, piggy etc. I have an very complex relationship with this show . Ha
Loo, I didn’t mean to imply the dance moms from the show. There are people who post here who have kids in dance and are aware of the competitions and which are real and which are fake, etc.
