I am so sad it is the finale of Ladies of London! I am going to miss this show so much! We pick up where we left off at Caroline’s dinner party. Caprice is not there yet, she is arriving in the dark. She is hoping there will not be confrontation. Caroline is already pissed that Caprice did not greet her first, but the other ladies in the vicinity stood to hug her and Caroline just sat there. Caroline says that she arranged for Caprice to have a vegan dinner and she does not even acknowledge her and barely touches the dinner.
After dinner Caprice announces with elaborate and impolite detail that her surrogate is in labor. Caprice says her surrogate wants her there, and Caprice is unsure as to when she should leave. Our National Treasure Juliet makes quite good use of herself when she points out that they are quite near Heathrow. I mean, WTF? Where is her husband? Was being on the final episode so important to her that she had to miss the birth of her first born? What hadn’t already gone days ago? What could possibly be more important?
The ladies all scatter and then eavesdrop on the scene with Caprice and Caroline. Caprice denies asking Caroline to have her baby shower. Caroline says that she had hired the best planners to oversee the event and then she was told that she was not good enough. Caprice says she never said that either. Then Caprice wants to bring up something that was told to her today by Noelle and Marissa. I haven’t even heard what yet but I already imagine that Marissa had little if anything to do with it. Caprice said the girls said that Caroline was bullying them because they were having a shower for her. Really? This bullying nonsense occurs across the pond as well? Caroline explains that is not what happened she merely told them that she had been asked and that Caprice had cancelled on her. Caprice is delusional. Caroline is going to get her phone with the texts from Matt showing that Caprice asked Matt and Marissa if they could have a shower for her at the restaurant. Caprice says she thinks she best go. Not because her first born is about to come screaming out of someone else’s vagina but because Caroline has her pinned to the wall and rather than simply apologize, she has chosen to flee.
On Caprices’s exit, she tells Marissa that she brought her a gift and asks her to walk her to the car. This pisses Caroline off because she is all. “Where the hell is my gift you impregnated wonder whale?” But in British that translates to a death stare with a subtle eyebrow raise. By the way, it’s dark and cold around Caroline because her high beams are on. Caroline confronts Noelle for calling her a bully to Caprice and Noelle pees in her free American Panties by Caprice a little bit. Noelle never used the word bullied, it was Caprice that used the word.
Caprice tries to reign in Marissa by retelling Marissa what she supposedly said. Marissa sticks up for Caroline. Marissa points out that Caprice did ask her to do the event for her and that Caroline never bullied anyone. Caprice claims that she remembers now, and blames it on her pregnancy brain. That may count for the forgetfulness but not for all the lies and shit stirring, Caprice. Marissa says that she thinks that there are some egos involved in this drama. Noelle comes screeching out of the house to recount to Caprice that Caroline is being mean to her. Caprice lies to Noelle and says she didn’t tell her that Noelle told her anything. Wow, just like that the pregnancy brain kicks back in. Hormones are a wonderful thing. Noelle wants Caprice to confront Caroline again. But first Marissa dashes in to try to smooth things over for Noelle.
Caprice comes back out and says she is leaving but she can’t leave Noelle under the bus because she is the one who called her a bully not the other two. Caroline has had enough of Caprice and throws her out. Caprice chastises Noelle again and Noelle tries to drag Marissa with her into the wood chipper, but Marissa is having none of it.
The royal baby has arrived! The real one! Caprice thinks it might be time for her to pack. So she lies down and tries to play with a dog, but it runs far away. The maid attempts to pack. Caprice calls Annabelle on her death bed to whine about how Caroline treated her at dinner. Annabelle is less than interested. This displeases Caprice.
Noelle calls Marissa to apologize, Marissa just want to watch the live stream about the royal baby’s arrival in peace. At the :40 they show a clip of Marissa in the press pit outside the door when the new prince was announced. #allergies
Juliet and her husband and kids are apparently going sleepover at Caroline’s. Those little British girls are much less disagreeable than American children. Somehow Juliet has been appropriately behaved this entire episode and she is ensconced in the nicest house of the bunch.
Caprice clearly lied about the mucus plug and contractions because she makes it to the hospital in time for the surrogate to give birth. Why is Caprice in a hospital gown in a hospital bed holding the surrogate baby? Then she has her own baby. Maybe she will be nicer now. Julie and Annabelle talk to Caprice all the time and Marissa sent flowers when the first boy was born but no one else has contacted her. I suppose she is not much use to Noelle anymore. Caprice and Ty are back I London with their boys. The girls never threw her a baby shower.
Julie and Annabelle’s jockey trainer drop by to check on her. Annabelle is dying to ride again. The jockey brings her “McQueen silks” over to show her. Annabelle hopes to ride in the race next (this) year. That didn’t happen, Annabelle continues to recover from her multiple injuries.
The rest of the girls get together for the last polo match of the summer. Prince Charles was there! (That’s the one with the ears, right?) The court ruled that Scot was worth 40 million pounds, the ex took 20 million and Noelle got a six carat flawless (!!!) diamond. Juliet and her family stayed in Britain. Marissa and Matt had a second son. They now have an heir and a spare. Caroline has not spoken to Caprice since the dinner party. She remains friendly with Juliet and the other Americans.
I miss this show already.
