While Apollo was frolicking in the park with Phaedra today, the court handed down his restitution order. Or perhaps it happened this morning so he could be freed up for his unpaid Bravo job. The court has ordered that Apollo repay $1,948,214.85 to his victims. Restitution is to be paid jointly and severally in accordance with the restitution order to be paid by Gayla St. Julien. Which basically means they are both responsible until the balance is paid off. Payment is due immediately.
Any money he makes in prison (prison wages are as low as 25 cents and hour) will be paid directly to the restitution fund. Upon release, Apollo will be required to get a job and pay back $250 a month plus 25% of any gross income beyond $2,300 a month. Below is the list of his victims, who will never get their money back.
US Treasury $89,761.85
State of California $15,778.70
State of Connecticut $45,525.68
State of Iowa $28,349.80
State of Indiana $2,289.47
City of Los Angeles $3,528.03
State of Mississippi $954.60
State of Nebraska $664.38
State of New York $2,196.37
San Diego County $2.200.00
State of Texas $39,275.27
State of Utah $3,284.52
State of Vermont $456.85
State of Wisconsin $7.612.26
Delta Airlines $24.984.99
VALHI INC $319.22
Campus USA Credit Union $277,000
UP2Drive BMW Bank of North America $100.000 (NOTE: Apollo drove his BMW to Chastain Park today)
The Farmer State Bank $43,006.20
Nationwide Bank $44.500
Capitol One Bank $30,000
Digital Federal Union $45,000
Georgia’s Own Credit Union $35,000
Patelco Credit Union, $25,000
JP Morgan Chase Bank, $828,300.20
Total owed $1,948,214.85
My initial reactions are (1) WTF is wrong with the folks at JP Morgan Chase to let this fool swindle them out of almost a million dollars? (2) Are his assets being seized or not? (3) Why is he still tooling around town in a BMW today?
If Apollo lives 50 years after getting out of prison, and pays only the $250 a month. He will have paid back a total of $150,000. This is utterly ridiculous. No one will see a dime of this money.
We can only hope that has a very miserable stay in jail.
