We begin with the boys juggling in a Minnesota hotel room. Then they get an email from a girl in MINNESOTA! Wow, what are the odds of that happening. Hang on, I need my suspending disbelief hat on for this. Okay, got it. Miranda writes that she is in love with two guys that are the same person. Um, okay, that sounds like one guy to me. She has been in love with Cameryn who she knows online but has never met since 2011. He’s really good-looking in a disgruntled youth sort of way. Which is good news for me because people will be googling for ways to meet him, just like they did with the girl from the Faroe Islands last week. YAY! Let’s get this blog done and posted! Cameryn lives in Santa Monica. Except, there is no Cameryn. Cameryn has already admitted that his name is really James and he lives in Atlanta.
So, um, if they call each other every night, how does Miranda not know that she is calling Atlanta rather than Santa Monica? Anyway. Miranda wants to meet James anyway. Because starting a relationship with a three-year lie is always wise. James is cute enough not to need to use a fake picture. Unless of course this is another fake picture. Even as James, he still won’t meet Miranda. Yep, it sounds like James is not really James either.
Nev and Max take the crew to meet Miranda. This season has a whole lot more scenes with parents than they ever had. Miranda’s mother has “terminal Crohn’s disease.” I never knew Crohn’s disease was fatal, I didn’t think it was, but I don’t want to Google it because I will totally get the symptoms. #Hypochondriac Miranda was moving to LA for school to be near Cameryn and he was encouraging her to do it. #doucheCanoe Oh and he says he has a brother or someone with leukemia. Because Miranda is setting herself up for even more heartache, I am not going to comment on the crazy headband.
The guys do a search and find a guy named James with the same last name who is a sex offender, but he is incarcerated so the rule him out. Then they find an Asian guy named James in Georgia who is associated with the phone number. He looks rather creepy. The boys meet up with Miranda and her friends to tell her what they have found. Why couldn’t Miranda do these simple Google searches for herself? /Tugs on hat of disbelief
Nev makes the phone call to convince James to meet Miranda. James puts up a lot of resistance at first, but then fulfills his contractual obligation to meet her. He is less than excited to meet her.
Miranda still believes the pictures of “James” are real. OMG! This meeting is happening practically in my neighborhood! This should be interesting. It looks like James may bail on Miranda once again. James texts Nev and says his family will not allow it. How old is this guy? But for some reason he is now willing to Skype. Miranda has a sad.
James wants to talk to the guys first. OMG. It’s not the Asian guy but a black chick named Gabby. Gabby is 18 and confused about her sexual orientation. She sounds female on Skype, so how could you have talked to a fifteen year old girl for three years and not know it was not a guy? Miranda still wants to meet Gabby. Miranda is pretty clueless. She needs to get out of Minnesota and live somewhere and learn some life skills.
Why are they going all the way to a park in Hiram to meet Gabby? There is absolutely no one at the park. Gabby sent a text saying she is not coming. Miranda cries and walks away. Max goes to hug her. So that should make it all worth it!
Miranda and Gabby still chat and are in good friends now. Miranda says she and Gabby are flirty. Gabby is going to fly up to see Miranda in MN. Miranda, was willing to take any of the guy choices, and even settled for Gabby. Go figure.
Sadly we never found out who Cameryn really was. Or any of the James choices.
