Orphan Black: Let’s Talk Before the Finale!

Helena
Meet Helena

This show is STILL unrecapable but I just have to comment on a few things. I LOVE the whole anal retentive hand sanitizer thing with Allison and Donnie. In fact, I think the Allison and Donnie scenes are the most fun this episode. The scenes where they are burying Leekie in the garage are awesome.  And Donnie growing a sack! “Have a shitty day!” heh.

I love Helena with the kids. I love Helena threatening to gut the mean lady like a fish. “Might as well eat, you will be fat soon anyway.” LOL at Helena trying to inseminate the dude with horse semen.

Kira is so brave! I love the emotional conflict by Sarah over whether or not to let Kira give Cosima her bone marrow.

Rachel is so very jealous of Sarah’s ability to have a child . I don’t really get the confidential thing that came up on Rachel’s laptop as Cosima’s girlfriend was settling in. Anyone? Who is Benjamin Kirkland?

Why did Delphine help Rachel kidnap Kira?

I think next week is the finale… There seems to be a lot to wrap up. And was Tony a one episode clone?

Talk to me.

From what I understood Delphine didn’t help Rachel kidnap Kira. Rather Rachel used Delphine to distract Sarah with (bogus) information about that guy who works with Miss S so she could go in and take Kira.

Benjamin is the guy who was at the hospital with them. He is one of Mrs. S’s old connections. I’m a bit confused about his role though, except for the fact that he may now be a traitor. I love ALL of Allison’s scenes because they always crack me up. She’s all preppy and proper, and then she shocks you with things that she does. Donny was awesome in this episode. I wonder where Paul has been.

Wouldn’t you think that by now Sarah would have had the foresight to have a secret code word which she only gives to the people she trusts, and definitely NOT give it to the other clones? Then anytime she walks out of their line of sight she has to whisper it in her people’s ear before anything else commences. I am confused if Daphine knew that she was setting them up? How else would Rachel know that she would be in a limo waiting downstairs for Sarah? I mean, the way they showed it, Rachel didn’t even know that she saw that email.

Oh, I forget to ask, did Helena just kill all of those children in that fire? That’s not like her at all!

I thought they were spared since they were in a separate house that they had to walk to.

I just rewatched the episode and the house to the right was not on fire. It was the barn structure. It also looked like all of the children in the house were girls. Were the sexes separated or what did he do with the boys?

I’m rewatching (or rather scanning through) that episode now (I always do a quick overview of last week’s before watching current week’s episode). There were definitely little boys at the nursery school. They show them clearly when she first walks into the nursery. Second scene they only show one very quickly, but they’re there.

Thanks Lori. It’s interesting to go back and watch this episode after I just watched the finale. I’m going to have to go back and watch the episode where he first appeared. I remember that he said he was a scientist, but I don’t remember if he said who he initially worked for. That comment will make sense once you have watched the finale.

I had a roller coaster of emotions watching this episode. I don’t do well when children are hurt or abused.
I, too, loved Allison and Donnie. With the print plastic sheet, red tape and ribbon, and her OCD, she wrapped Leekie’s body like it was a craft project. When doesn’t a heart drawn in wet cement fix everything?
I have never believed Delphine’s character was smart enough to be a scientist. It’s easy for me to believe that she thought she was warning Sarah rather than distracting her. Who sends their picture with a “confidential” message? I’m still not clear whether Cosima will get the bone marrow or if it was intercepted by whomever will be running tests on Kira.
My impression is there is another organization above Dyad that wants to continue the clone research. That is who Dr. Marian Bowles represents. Can anyone clear that up for me?
We were reminded that Mark was ex military? Since he stood up for Gracie is there hope that he will join up with Paul? I can’t decide who is going to attempt a rescue of Kira. Will Art work all legal means? Will Kira find a way to call Cal? Will Allison use her emergency fund to hire mercenaries? Will Mrs. S. and Helena compete for who can get the craziest? Maybe the man who kidnapped Sarah as an infant will come back for Kira. I was so sad seeing Kira at the end, I’m personally hoping Helena takes no prisoners in getting back her seestra’s little angel. If Paul or Cal is there to help, that would be a total bonus.

Whew! All I could do was nod my head in agreement with all you just said. It never occurred to me that it was a set- up with Delphine. And I literally looked away for a second, a second, and looked back up to see what happened with Kira, Fe and “Sarah”. Like I said last week, you can’t kill Helena no matter how hard you try.

It’s always the uber straight laced that make me raise an eyebrow. Donnie was transformed & together with Allison this couple has gone into the danger zone. (Poor Vic is in the wrong place at the wrong time.)

Helena is Rasputin & everyone needs to fear this one woman army.

As for the mysterious “Top Side” of the Dyad organization, guess that will be part of the lure for a S3.

I took it that the Children are fine as they are not at the building set on fire. Donnie and Alison had the funniest scenes. Never knew i could laugh so hard at someone trying to bury a body. Loved the short bonding time between Gracie and Helena. Especially when Gracie said would never get rid of the child she is carrying which is Helena’s . I am curious how this will play in the future. They went from enemies to almost running away together. Happy Gracie got away from that crazy cult and evil father. Helena is like the ultimate bad girl. Got a heart, good with kids and not afraid to cut your throat if you do her wrong.lol When she had that evil Proletheans leader in the straddle. I went from feeling sorry for Rachel to hating her guts. Kidnapping a recovering Kira, not cool. I do not think Delphine helped but she is one not very bright scientist. I hope hot Cal comes to save Kira as she still has that special number that he gave.

It looked like the whole “compound” was burning . Either that or that is one HUGE house.

Your are right it did look like the whole thing was on fire. Helena has a soft spot for children so my assumption is the children are fine. Hopefully they will clarify this for us at some point on the show.

I saw it as Delphine was tricked by Rachel planting fake information about Benjamin. I am too confused that Rachel knew about the connection to him and Kira protectors. Maybe he is a traitor and this information was used to bait Delphine?

Oh that right… the special number. I’ll bet he does, especially being he’s her father and all.

Amazing show and it just seems to be getting better. Astounding that one actress can week after week play so many parts. I only recently started watching, but luckily Comcast On-Demand let me go back and watch all the episodes from the beginning.
