I’m finally all caught up on Orphan Black and I don’t even know where to start. I think I will start with Donnie, who was apparently an unwitting monitor! How stupid do you have to be to allowing people to run all sorts of tests on your wife and not even know it? And then he accidentally kills Leekie? Donnie is such a hysterical obstacle to the clones.
What about Cal, will we see him again now that Sarah has Kira back? Because, hot. Use that phone number, Kira. By the way the kid playing Kira is a great little actress.
Did Felix kill Vic the dick? How funny was Sarah pretending to be Allison giving a speech at rehab?
Can you believe that Rachel let Leekie go instead of killing him like she was supposed to? How did she even find out she was dead?
Is Kira’s DNA the antidote for the virus infecting all the clones or do they really have to recreate the synthetic genetic matter? Was it just me or did Kira seem to understand the book that Ethan gave her with all of his scientific notes and drawings inside?
And finally, Tony the Transgender clone?
Talk to me.
Donnie and Allison crack me up. I hope we see more of Cal. Toni the transgender cone, I hope has a torrid love affair with Felix.
Noooooooooooooo! That’s a bit too close to home.
omg……
This show is the best!
So happy you finally caught up:)))))))!
Not only did I burst out in laughter when the gun went off, but what do you think of Donnie and Allison commiserating over each one’s participation in an accidental death? That’s a solid foundation for a marriage!
I do love the comic relief between Allison and Felix. What was the forgiveness speech by Vic? Was he being truthful or was he just trying to keep Sarah there until the detective came? I can’t figure out if the detective is just doing her job or does she have another agenda? Vic was in the scenes for the next episode, so apparently he was just zoned out.
Have you figured out who the new female boss is? I thought it was strange that Rachel let Leekie go, and I was further surprised at how quickly and easily he vacated the building. I don’t think she knows that he is dead. I think she told him to disappear, and she ‘s acting like he’s dead, so it looks like she followed the boss’ instructions. How long do you think she will be able to keep up the professional relationship with her real dad? Just when I think she’s the Ice Queen, she seems concerned about Paul’s whereabouts.
I think they either use Kira’s DNA or recreate the genetic sequence to cure the clones. How is Kira so prophetic? She seems to sense things before they actually happen. I love that she’s been given the book. I wonder if she will keep it from Sarah.
Didn’t love Tony. I keep getting more into the seestra relationship of Helena and Sarah.
Thanks for taking time to catch up and blog.
Ah Tony! I feel like the writers were really reaching with this character, why did they have to give him a bit of a dirtbag personality? Tatiana is super talented as an actress but I’m not sure what to make of this character yet. The kissing with Felix, haha I thought they were going to burst out laughing, especially when Tony said “tasty Tony” hahaha! For the next clone, I want to see a stripper with a heart of gold.
She plays every clone perfectly, so believable… but the new boy clone, not so much. I’m not a fan, I don’t like his stupid little fake beard…he’s extra douchey! Just no.
I hope Helena kills him off soon.
He reminded me of the bearded lady at the circus with that little beard. But I must say that I thought she pulled “the boy” part off quite nicely AFTER I realized she was suppose to be a boy! LOL. Guess I wasn’t
paying close attention. A little transgender thing going on.
I thought Tony was just a way to give us information about Paul, but I just read on the writer’s notes on BBC America’s Orphan Black website that they put six months into developing the character of Tony.
From the Hive Recap:”Tony had to be a new individual, who had confronted being born with a biological challenge: the original DNA gave this person an incompatible chromosome scenario.”
Hopefully he stays on the run until at least next season. Did anyone understand Tony’s message about Paul?
Oh thanks for bringing up Paul. I think the message was to tell Beth that Paul is on the clones side. Maybe. Or Maybe he’s just the resident clone fucker. I just hope he stick around.
i think tony is the only clone she’s not acting well enuf. he’s just sarah w a deeper voice & scruffy facial hair. love that alison & donnie r now a couple of “killers.” makes them funny together. a bit of a yawn that they stole the killing from pulp fiction, tho.
i miss paul. to me he’s the hot one. 🙂
missed this on sunday. thanking god they just replayed it.
oops, saturday, i mean.
I was stumped about the message too. He’d better show soon ’cause Rachael’s looking for him.
I freaken love this show. Rachel letting Leake go was because underneath that hard shell she has feelings. This is the person that “raised” her after her family was killed. Yes…Leake is the one that did it but she didn’t know. Rachel is the only clone that grew up knowing that she wasn’t a real girl. To then find out that she was created to be barren was too much. You could see having a child was the only thing that she thought would make her more normal. When her father/maker said that Sarah was the one defective she wanted to smash stuff. Donnie and Allision are a great couple reunited over their individual kinda started out as accidental murders. Let’s be honest here, the clones are at their best when they are together. Clone club rules. I don’t love Tony…but there is a reason he was there, we just don’t know it yet.
Love “clone club rules.”
I thought it was cold how he said that Sarah was the defective one. Spoken like a true scientist and not a caring consoling father. I guess grandchildren were never on his radar.
I noticed that Allison’s adopted children are either black or biracial. Since Sarah’s mother was African (?), has there been any backstory on Allison’s parents or her children’s biological parents?
Love this show! One of the best on TV. I felt so bad for Rachel when she found out cannot have a child. The actress that plays little Kira is amazing, plays a mysterious kid perfectly. At first did not like Tony Character at all and found too similar to Sara. I changed my mind when we realized Tony is Transgender. Please for give me if I am not using the correct term. I have a feeling this clones back story will make more sense in the future. Love me some Arthur (Art) what a great actor! He never smiles but seems to have a heart of gold. All the actors on this show seem to play their role well. Perfect casting! I was hooked on this show from the first 5 minutes of episode 1 season 1 ( that was crazy).
As per the previews we are finally get to see some Helena again next episode. Looking forward to it!
If you are sedated by a glacial pace then this show is your amphetamine. The writers aren’t timid so blink at your own risk & kudos to you if you can multitask while watching & still remember everything.
What an unceremonious departure for the evil Leekie! So now I suppose we will see behind the curtain of the Dyad hierarchy.
Perhaps Tony’s transgender condition puts some of the viewers off but I think he’s hilarious & I hope they’re done introducing clones because there’s so much character/storyline development left I fear they won’t be able to wrap it up in what’s left of the season. With the finale around the corner, unless they give us a S3 they’re going to be scrambling.
It’s not the transgender thing that is off putting IMO. It’s just as another commenter said, it seems like Sarah with a beard stuck on which makes the sexual tension between Tony and Felix sort of ookey. I just don’t think they pulled this off like they did for all the other clones. I forget that one actress plays them all, until Tony shows up…

Exactly.
I totally agree that Tony is am unwanted reminder that they are all played by the same actress.
I’m not digging Tony either. I’m hoping that is his character progresses that he starts looking more like a guy with the use of the testosterone. Maybe we will go on that journey with him..That would be cool, otherwise, for me, he’s an epic fail.
Isn’t Cal the same actor from Nashville?
lori, I know that must be a question for other folks. Y’all know I have no facial recognition skills.
Hmm which guy on Nashville.

Michiel Huisman plays Cal and also played record producer Liam on Nashville. And Daario Naharis on Game of Thrones.
I watch all those shows and just like when my aging parents used to watch the same ten reruns of Murder She Wrote over and over every week, it’s all brand new to me. The name Liam on Nashville rings a bell but I could not tell you who he was. And if “Cal” walked in the door right now and fucked my brains out, I would be thrilled and all of you would benefit, I would have no idea it was him. No facial recognition skills left. I think I killed those brain cells with all the drinking. Oh well.
Tamara, Liam is the guy who was hooking up with Rayna James… the guy who helped her make the album that she felt was her moving in the direction musically that she wanted to. I remember thinking and commenting on one of your Nashville blogs that I wanted her to end up with him because their chemistry was HOT, and so was he… even more so than on orphan black imo. More recently, Liam is the guy that Charlotte was working with, and started a fling with, and he is the one who got her started on the pills. When Rayna found out they were involved, she got pissed and fired him because she thought that Charlotte couldn’t handle it if he broke her heart. I don’t think they know yet that he got her started on the pills. Did that help you remember who he played?
Sort of. Thanks. 🙂

Who’s everyone’s favorite character? Mine is Allison.
Cosima! Who will probably die. Or maybe Helena. or Sarah. lol.

They better not let Cosima die! They have those discs now. I’ll be pissed off if Cosima dies.
There are so many to choose from. Clone: Helena. You just can’t kill that b*tch. Felix is always good for a laugh.
And I love Art too. Oh yeah, also, I meant to say in my original comment that that message from Tony has got to mean that Paul is really on the clone’s side. They never would have made us all like him so much if he wasn’t going to be some kind of hero imo.
Or rather, from Sammy.
I watched tonight live. This is a really good show. I need to watch the end again because there is a lot going on here and I got distracted.

Unless I go directly from one episode to the next in the same sitting/day, I always have to do a quick watch through of the previous episode, usually ff through most of it, but it helps so I remember exactly where we last left off. Getting ready to watch tonight’s episode any moment. 🙂
I hate the music they play during the Helena scenes!
