It’s time for Ladies of London! I haven’t seen any previews for this show and I have no idea what to expect, but I am looking forward to a new show. That said, there are seven ladies on this show and to me, that is at least one if not two, too many. It will also be a tough recap senses I have no idea who is who on the show. Let’s see what happens!
Caroline purports to be true British high society. She claims Brad and Angelina are her new neighbors and she grew up “mixing with royals.” She has three boys including at set of twins. She runs a business that has something to do with high-end gifts. Her lips are weird.
Caprice is a cover girl from California. She has lived in England for 17 years, she moved there when she was 24. Caprice is famous in England. She has dated Rod Stewart, David Spade and Dennis Quaid. She has a very successful lingerie business. She is pregnant. She seems to be friends with Caroline.
Annabelle is a British aristocrat. She was Alexander McQueen’s muse for 20 years. She remains devastated by his death. The girls have to work to get Annabelle out and about since McQueen’s death. She is learning how to be a jockey for a charity horse race on a mechanical horse. She’s really interesting.
Noelle is from Seattle but has lived in London for ten years. She dated very rich men. She used to be model. Her boyfriend Scot is married and his divorce front page tabloid news. His financial situation is rather sketchy. They have been dating for four years and she is ready to get married. She seeks advice from Caprice for how to break into the upper echelon of society. Caprice says that her dating a married man is not cool and her current scandal could be detrimental for her image.
Marissa is an Orange County girl married to a British man. Her husband, Matt, runs a very exclusive private night club that has a special entrance for “the royals.” She is currently going through the citizenship process.
Juliet is from Chicago and has only been in London for three years. She is married Gregory who is also American. They have been married for six years. They have two kids a boy and a girl. They live in a regular neighborhood. Her claim to fame is apparently hanging out with Lindsay Lohan when she was young. She seems a bit self-absorbed. She seems to be friends with Marissa. They gossip about Noelle and Scot who have made the tabloids recently after Scot got out of jail after spending three months there for refusing to disclose his finances (or according to Noelle’s version his ex-colleagues financials) to the courts during his divorce proceedings.
The Americans,Noelle, Juliet and Marissa go to tea. Juliet is a bit mean to Noelle about Scot and his shady dealings. Noelle says that Juliet is jealous of her press.
The girls are all going to Polo in the Park. Noelle wears a fascinator to the polo match. This will cause a minor scandal. Juliet seems to have never been to a polo match before despite her celebrity climbing. Caroline is rather uppity and makes fun of Americans a great deal. She is appalled by Noelle’s fascinator, which all the ladies continue to call a hat. Juliet is very loud at the game. Juliet, Noelle and Marissa are outsiders and the actual Brits are not amused by them.
I really like this show! They filmed when the royal baby was born! Noelle moves in with Scot and he proposes this season. Caprice has her baby. And there is a lot of bickering, but very few fake boobs! Refreshing!
