Bravo has four new reality shows in the pipeline! Let’s take a look at their descriptions and see if anything looks watchable.
“#obsessed” (working title)
Hosted by internet sensations the SRSLY girls, Danielle Gibson and Alexandra Fiber, “#obsessed” is a comedic “let’s talk about it” round-up featuring two best friends and obsessionados who are totally up to speed on the latest trends from the most eccentric health crazes like ‘oil pulling’ to the newest foodie renaissance of toast, yes, toast. So whether you want to impress your friends at a party this weekend or look hip in front of your kids at the dinner table, “#obsessed” is your go-to guide for everything you need to know, want to buy and wish you had.
Is it me or does this sound nearly as stupid as the people’s couch? I really don’t want to see two chicks sitting around talking about oil pulling. That’s a hygiene regime I could live without discussing.
“Apres Ski” working title)
Luxury and world-class ski resorts attract instructors from all over the world vying for jobs on the mountain to showcase their expertise while delivering the premiere experience to their demanding clientele. It’s the ultimate synthesis of business and pleasure for the staff, as they ski by day and lodge together by night. From fresh tracks to Apres Ski off the slopes, you can be sure that instructors and guests alike seek thrills both on and off the mountain.
I’m not sure we have enough information on this one. Maybe hunky ski instructors hooking up would be interesting. But I’m not overly optimistic.
“High Stakes Style” (working title)
Following fashion inventor and home shopping superstar Shannon Mattingly, “High Stakes Style” features Shannon and her team as she looks to invest in unique one-of-a-kind beauty and style solutions. The smash success of Shannon’s own creation, “Showstoppers,” a double stick designer tape, launched her fabulous lifestyle and career. With her direct experience, abounding wherewithal and an equally exuberant opinion to match, Shannon will help budding entrepreneurs kick start their beauty and fashion businesses while also turning a pretty profit.
So it’s Shark Tank with the “inventor” of double sided sticky tape. Um….
“Family Love” (working title)
This project follows Lisa Galos and her totally unconventional family of matchmakers, including her beautiful single daughter, gay son, ex-husband, and even her ex-husband’s former mistress. If anyone understands the phrase, “the heart wants what the heart wants,” it’s this family that uses everyone’s unique skills to set up the hottest singles in Chicago.
It’s no surprise that Patti Stanger is executive producing this show. That alone gives me pause. So it’s basically Millionaire Matchmaker in the Midwest. Meh.
#Obsessed sounds like every show that is already on E. All they need is Giuliana Ranic. Apres Ski is just Below Deck in the mountains. High Stakes sounds like the shopping channel and the last show is connected to Patti Stanger, no thanks.
Speaking of below deck, has season 2 received a green light yet?
yawn.
I think that ski one sounds good, I liked Below deck…maybe it’s similar
Who knows if any will be worth watching. For some reason you always seem to have drama with reality shows. Afraid I’ve had my fill of all that kind of tv crap. Maybe one or two of them will surprise me…..but I won’t hold my breath.
Why do none of these sound intriguing? Oh well, watching fake (plastic/whippet-in-a-wind-tunnel skinny/Joker mouthed) looking women showing their asses while calling verbal diarrhea and a complete lack of filters & seemingly of raising “honesty” or being “outspoken” wears thin after a while.
Apres Ski could be fun and addictive like Below Deck. Which of course Bravo will eff it up some how.
I was hoping that one of these new shows would be about the new show Joyce Giraurd is doing….never know
Hmmmm….Does this mean Nene is not getting her own show?
Nene’s show would not be considered new.
Her show focused on her wedding, right? What are they going to do, then, renew their vows? How could they possibly continue her show if the wedding is over and done with? I’m hoping we don’t see her in her own show, new or old.
If they did, it would be on the same lines as bethenny’s show or Kim’s show. Bethenney had 3 seasons. Kim Z. is about to do her 3rd season. It’s possible that they won’t bring it back.
Bah. I’d rather have Southern Charm back – even Jimmy Fallon liked it!
I am soooo over these fake reality shows!!!
Am I the only one who likes The People’s Couch? The people watching are hilarious in their reactions to certain scenes. Sort of like reading the best recaps on line right here! 😀 Because I am on a dating hiatus, Family Love sounds interesting!
I have to admit, I watch it, too. Shhhhh…don’t tell anyone!
LOL!
If Apres Ski takes place in Colorado I’m going to barf all over myself. I’m sure it will be less than realistic- ski instructors generally live in cramped employee housing that is reminiscent of a frat house. Damn it now I’m totally going to tune in just too see how fake it is.
I hope they bring back Online Dating Rituals of the American Male. That show was absolutely hilarious.
Yeah nothing on the list for me.
I like the People’s Couch (hangs head in shame).
