Orphan Black Catch Up for Episode Four

May 25, 2014 by tamaratattles 6 Comments

Orphan-Black

This is the last episode I missed. I am just going to paraphrase a couple of recaps for the big points and then I have episode five and six to watch.

Sarah was hit by a car while driving Daniel to the bad guys office as his hostage. Cal was the person who hit the car (on Daniel’s side) as the way to save Sarah. Daniel seems dead. Sarah grabs the gun and the Project Leta picture. Cal grabs up Sarah just as the cops come uu sirens blaring. But they don’t stop. Clearly, they are headed to Cal’s place where the dead cop is. Cal tells Sarah to put the gun back in the car because it is the murder weapon(Now covered with her fingerprints). Cal takes Sarah to get Kira. He also has a camper. He ditches his truck and off they all go, three fugitives from the law. Sarah needs to get to Mrs. S. for information. She leaves Kira with Cal. Before leaving she finally tells him the name of DYAD.

OrphanBlack Helena

Helena is still with the Prolethians. On the third episode, it appears that what happened with her is they drugged the fuck out of her and married her off and then the wedding was consummated in hopes of knocking her up. Art. the cop, has been taking pictures of the compound for days. The religious kooks know he is watching them. Gracie, the kook who never has liked Helena but fails. I’m starting to think you can’t kill Helena. After all sorts of weirdness, Helena escapes the compound and runs into Art who essentially lets her go and delays the kooks from going after her.

Allison wakes up someplace thinking she is at DYAD and demands to see the Dr. Dude from there and the woman has no idea what she is talking about. Allison is in rehab. She’s pretty banged up with a broken (?) arm. Good old Felix comes to see her and convinces her to stay in rehab for the week, she’ll be away from Donnie and can get some rest. She agrees.

Cosima  is the only one who is not physically injured in this episode but she is really sick. Sarah video chats with her to let her know what is going on with her. Sarah wants to come back because she thinks Mrs. S. is the key to figuring out everything. Cosima explains the myth of Leda ( Project Leda) about a god who comes to earth and makes babies with a swan.  For some reason they now think they are part of a military project.

Daniel the dude from DYAD that went to abduct Sarah and Kira is shown crawling from the car wreckage alive. Bummer.

Mrs. S. thinks she needs to get to London to see someone named Carlton ASAP. Turns out Carlton is in the vicinity. She tracks him to a bar and after a physical altercation where she threatens to remove his balls with a knife, they end up fucking. Or something.

Sarah is back at Mrs. S’s house looking for clues with Felix. They find out that Carlton was the guy who brought Sarah to Mrs. S. He did 15 years for human smuggling. Also some scientists were killed in an explosion. The two lead scientists had the last name Duncan. They assume that they were Rachel’s parents. Clearly, Mrs. S. knows all sorts of things she is not telling. Felix takes the clippings with all the info to Cosima while Sarah goes to Rachel’s fancy apartment pretending to be her. While at  the apartment, Daniel shows up and knocks her out. Daniel begins to torture her when Helena arrives and kills Daniel and saves her “sestra.”

Meanwhile back a the kook farm, apparently what they did to Helena was harvest her eggs. They shot one up with sperm and now have a cloney test tube baby or something.

My movie is starting so once again, watching Orphan Black will have to wait. But not too long.

Unlike the housewives you actually have to use your brain when you watch this show. I LOVE it!

I have to agree with you about thinking that Helena can’t be killed…she’s like Rasputin, but am really liking her. She is so protective of her sestra (love that word) Sarah & now includes Felix as another one of her sestras. Ha!

Loved the interaction between Allison and Felix. I don’t understand how her husband can threaten to take the kids away when he is a monitor. I like Cosima, but not her monitor. Mrs. S confuses me. How did she get involved in the first place? I love how they have developed the sestra relationship. I can’t watch the wedding/harvesting of Helena’s eggs. She is one fantastic actress. I keep forgetting it is one person playing all of the clones.

Thank you for taking the time to include this show.

TT can we post here even if you haven’t had time to recap? I’m “dying” to discuss Donald and the new out of the blue boss. I hope this is vague enough so it’s not considered a spoiler.

Sure go ahead. I keep meaning to recap but my brain wants to spend all day having panic attacks this week. I should go in to the therapist, but I don’t want to leave the house. It’s so damn annoying.
