Just a quick recap of Orphan Black. Kira manages to call her mother. Kira gets Art (the police officer who was partnered with the clone who killed herself) to help find her. Sarah and Art go off to the hotel where the call originated and while Art is interrogating someone Sarah is kidnapped. She is taken to a farmhouse where Kira and Mrs. S. are. Mrs. S. claims to be protecting Kira from the Proletheans. The house they are at is the first place Mrs. S. brought Sarah when they arrived from the UK. She grew up with Felix there. Mrs. S has passports to take Kira back to the UK but Sarah is not included in the escape. Sarah shows Mrs. S. a photo that her birth mother gave her before she died. It seems to tie Mrs, S. to project LEDA which I assume is the cloning project.
As Sarah considers sending Kira with Mrs. S. But Kira convinces Sarah they should run. Mrs S. has a disagreement with the people who are helping her get Kira out. She pins the woman to the table by slamming a knife through one hand and a cooking fork through the other. Sarah and Kira get away. We are left still wondering what side Mrs. S. is really on. But not for long as she goes back in the house and asks the women stabbed to the table who she sold out to, turns out the Proletheans were trying to buy the kid. The woman asks what is so special about the kids and Mrs. S. says they are Project LEDA. The other woman says she doesn’t know what that is. Mrs. S. says, “good” and shots her dead. Mrs. S. is not a very nice lady.
Speaking of kidnapping, Helena was snatched from the hospital and returned to the custody of the Proletheans on their farm compound. She is not in the best of shape. The cult leader, Henrik believes that since Sarah is Helena’s twin, Helena can likely have kids as well. So far, Sarah is the only clone who can procreate. Henrik has one of his farmhands kill Tomas (nail gun to the back of the head), one of Helena’s handlers since she was 12 years old. I suppose because he is anti clone. Or something. That part was confusing.
Allison is having a hard time dealing with Aynsley’s death. Not to mention a very handsy director of her play. Felix shows up to her rehearsal and she tells him that she watched Aynsley die when her scarf got stuck in the garbage disposal. Felix and Allison set a trap from Donnie to see if he is her monitor. Allison has turned to the bottle for support. Donnie falls for the trap because the is a bumbling fool. Donnie reports to the doctor dude at Dyad. Now Allison knows without a doubt that Donnie is her monitor.
Cosima’s illness continues to worsen. She is getting her promised lab with Dyad and working with her handler and girlfriend, Delphine. Everyone seems to be sexing it up with their handlers, aka the enemy. Cosima meets Rachel, another clone. She is working for the handlers. She lets Cosima know that she is a defective clone with an illness that seems to be killing some of them. Rachel asks Cosima to compare her genome to Sarah’s and look for differences that would cause illness in some and fertility in others.
After Sarah and Kira escape in from Mrs. S. they go to pick up Felix in the stolen truck ( I suppose dead people can’t report stolen vehicles) and they are driving off into the sunset in search of safety. Allison calls Felix begging him to get her out of there because she can’t stay with Donnie anymore now that she is sure he is her monitor. But Felix is already obligated to go with his sister Sarah out of town to lie low.
