I am trying to get in the recapping mood, but I’m pretty stressed about the weather again tonight. Hopefully this episode will be a fun distraction. We are back at the dinner party and one minute in and Tamra is already calling Heather “fancy.” Um hello, Tamra, this show is supposed to be about rich fancy people who live in Orange County. Did you not get the memo? That is why we all tuned in in the first place. Don’t hate Heather for being smarter than you and richer than you, it’s not a good look!
The table talk is actually appropriate for dinner. The pros and cons of working with your spouse. However, things quickly go downhill when Heather tells the table to let Shannon speak. Vicki was interrupting her and immediately asked Heather if she was talking to her and denies interrupting her and then says, “Don’t say that to me ever!” Good grief, Vicki. Let someone else speak. When Heather attempts to share, Vicki and Tamra immediately interrupt and she never finishes the story.
Shannon has a basketball court. Pretty much everyone except Heather plays with the boys. This means Heather will be trashed for not participating. The maid is oddly vacuuming the stairs with company using them. Perhaps due to the broken glass. Tamra and Shannon do huge shots. Tamra lays on the kitchen counter. Shannon loves this. Heather overhears Tamra trash talking her. Heather decides to approach Eddie to tell him that Tamra is claiming that he wants a kid and that if they had a baby it would not be gone 50% of the time. This is stepping over the line, Heather.
Eddie talks to Tamra about his conversation with Heather. He asks Tamra not to talk about their family issues with her friends.
The next morning Tamra stops by Vicki’s for coffee on the way to work. They gossip about David and Shannon’s marriage. Both say it reminds them of their last husbands. They decide the need counseling. They move on to Heather. They can’t figure out why she is not communicating with them. Gee golly, perhaps because y’all are bitches?
Vicki wants to talk to Brianna about their relationship. She seems to be jealous of Brooks. Brianna says she has seen Vicki in two abusive relationships and now she sees it happening again. I am sure Brianna knows what she is talking about but I never would have imagined Don being abusive. It seemed like he got a lot of abuse from Vicki. Vicki denies that Brooks is abusive. Vicki blows her top over the allegation. I don’t know why this is such a big issue. Brianna is moving to Oklahoma and Brooks and Vicki have already broken up again. Why can’t they just agree not to discuss him.?
Shannon’s quirkiness continues with some sort of environmental consultant who checks the house for unhealthy air quality. Again, I totally agree with her on the cell phone issue. It’s insane that people radiate their small children with the phones. These days, if you notice phones were changed so that they are not made to hold up to your head. #endrant
Vicki is having a pre Thanksgiving dinner at her house. She is expecting everyone to help her cook. The kid is on the loose doing whatever. Tamra points out that gates might be a good idea. Vicki says that she watches him every second; meanwhile, the kid is under the kitchen sink and in every other closet or drawer. Vicki is bossing Shannon and Tamra around the kitchen.
Time for more Heather bashing. Tamra says Heather makes her feel stupid. Yes, Tamra, I am sure that went not very smart people hang around smart people, it can be intimidating. But Heather is not required to dumb down to your level. Vicki says Heather makes her feel “less than” and tries to imply that Heather looks down on her financially. This has nothing to do with finances Vicki. You have a lovely home and are hardly slumming it. You feel less than because you are unsophisticated and socially inappropriate. You want Heather to be the same way you are and she is classy and behaves like a grown adult. She is not required to roll in the gutter with you and do shots and dance on taxicabs. She’s a mother who is on television who is trying to set positive examples. Newsflash: No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. Was that Eleanor Roosevelt who said that?
Heather”s “little rental house” is beautiful. Heather and Tamra meet for lunch to try to make amends. Heather explains to Tamra that she is feeling like every time she speaks in the group she feels like no one is interested and she gets cut off. Tamra says Heather comes off as a know it all and her delivery of things makes her feel stupid. Heather says if she has to monitor what she says so that others are not comfortable, then that is a group she is not comfortable because she can’t be herself. Heather says I don’t want to feel inhibited. They don’t seem to hear each other but decide to squash it and move on. Tamra brings up Danielle, that she met at her fitness center. She invited Tamra to an ugly sweater party for Charity. The second the sweater is pulled out, the DVR ends. Hopefully, on my now rescheduled for Friday change of service providers and DVR boxes, this problem will be resolved.
Overall, I am enjoying this season so far. Nothing to serious and no brawling. You may all now commence in telling me how boring the season is because there is no major drama and no brawling.
