Okay, I Am Back To Believing Nene’s Story…

April 14, 2014 by tamaratattles 27 Comments

One of my commenters, Sarasally was a very bad girl and tried to post a link. The good news is that the link is very informative. Nene went on Dr. Oz because, mediawhore! And she told a story that makes a little more sense than the whole one and a half collapsed lungs story she told last night.

I’m back to believing the whole blood clot thing. I think when the video ends the first video suggested will be part two. There are three parts in all but you really only need to watch the first one for the purposes of this conversation. 🙂

It took me a minute to notice that Nene had been drinking on the show last night. Maybe she was just gathering her thoughts and that is why it seemed to us like she was lying?

Does this change your opinion?

I believed the blood clot part but not the lungs collapsed part because I don’t think they would of sent her home the next day but who knows in this Heath care system ,anything is possible . Maybe she has the strength of 10 men and healed up with lightening speed.

I am wondering if her story is true but she is making it seem like it was far worse than it really was?? The reason I question that is because in your first blog, you stated that she left the hospital the next day. It couldn’t have been that bad then, right?

If she is only at 80% why on earth is she dancing on DWTS?

True, when I had double pneumonia I was at 90% and was exhausted just walking up the steps.

Now that I think about it, my lungs collapsed last week. I was in the hospital a whole lot longer than overnight, I can tell you that. It was awful. I almost died. But then Jesus showed up and turned back time so it was like it never happened. I had forgotten that until just now.

And she told two different stories about the collapsed lungs. On WWHL she said one was completely collapsed and the other was partially. Then on Dr. Oz she said one was a little collapsed at the bottom. She may be stretching the truth at the very least

gawd, he introduced her as “one of tv’s biggest stars” … no wonder she is so full of herself.

I saw all three parts – she did not mention being in the hospital only 1 day; I would have been interested to see his reaction to that … just doesn’t sound right to me.

I had multiple pulmonary emboli in both lungs a few years ago, and was hospitalized for 4 days. It’s a very big deal, and you need to be monitored closely.

I had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the Lung) and when they discovered it through a CAT scan they contacted my Dr. And started me on a bollus of shots in my stomach of liquid Warfrin. I was hospitalized for five days, and had to go to the clinc every week (once) to get my blood checked which lasted about 2 months, and my lung did not collapse. My blood clot came from surgery I had to repair a hernia.

Nene keeps getting nick and tucks, breast implants, nose surgery and no telling what else is not good for a 46 year old woman.

My apologies for adding the Dr Oz link. I am normally a passive reader on your site, so I am a first time poster. When this show aired, I remember Dr Oz having asked several interesting questions with re: to her Dr.’s standing orders. It still does not dismiss my disregard for this blog’s guidelines of engagement though. If you allow the video to run through, Part 2 auto plays, followed by Part 3. Many answers to the good questions that were brought up here.

Yesterday I posted a comment with a link, but I didn’t realize there was an actual website with that name. I was using it facetiously, total duh moment. Everyone has an opps moment once in awhile.

NeNe’ s changed her story too many times for me. She probably had enough time before Dr. Oz to put a believable twist on it with her publicist.

I like that picture, it’s just slightly more subtle than the one I have with a big f*off in it. Clearly, subtle I am not. Well, I’m sure I’ll fuck up again here shortly and need all the TT tokens I can get. Happy now?

I am over informed about collapsed lung as of today so based on that info I go with blood clot with overdramatic description for effect. Who knows whether drugs or alcohol exacerbated the problem. Guess that low impact dancing she is doing on DWTS has no effect.

I believe her story. I do think there may be some exaggeration and honestly if one of my good friends didn’t suffer from pneumothorax (collapse lung) and did not just have surgery to hopefully fix it, I might be more skeptical. Before the surgery 2 weeks ago she had 6 instances of pneumothorax since January. The treatment for it was bed rest. Which sounds crazy because, it’s a freaking collapsed lung, but nope each time sent home.

The surgery removed the space that allowed the air to get trapped outside the lungs in the chest cavity. So far so good.

Now I believe Nene is struggling and needs to review her previous interviews so that she can keep her story straight.
I believe that something happened involving blood clots and the lungs collapsing but partially. However I also believe that Nene was doing her over exaggeration thing.
WWHL showed the real deal. Nene does not consider Andy’s show to be as sophistcated. Thus the lack of control.
If and I say if Nene is being completely honest on Dr. Oz’s then there was definitely fabrication by her on Andy’s. Or is it visa versa? Either way we end up with same conclusion… LIAR.

I believe her story was possible even probable. It appears that NeNe flies a lot and I travel a great deal as well, my doctor advised me that compression socks are a good thing when you travel frequently and especially long distances. He also advised ME (talk to your own doctor) that an aspirin prior to long flights is a good idea. So if she really did come so close to dying and survived, wonder why she appears to be the same ol’ NeNe. I guess everyone doesn’t change when faced with their mortality….(shrugs)

Blood clots to the lung(s) are called Pulmonary Embolism(s). People with truly collapsed lungs do NOT go home on bed rest. People with a significant pneumothorax get chest tubes…. and sometimes the aid of a ventilator and / or surgery if their respiratory status is compromised to the point of not being able to ventilate on their own. Nene had a PE that was the result of a deep venous thrombosis (clot in the lower extremity) that broke off and landed in her lungs. She did not suffer a cardiac / respiratory arrest and was able to go home the next day to “rest” it away according to her. Massive PE’s cause sudden death, not a call for bed rest. DVT’s (deep venous thrombosis) derive from immobility, (hence, that’s why bed rest isn’t a treatment), hypercoaguability status, and are often associated with contraceptive pills, smoking and / or a combination of the above. Never is anyone discharged to home with a collapsed lung to bed rest as a cure for DVT resulting in a PE. Massive PE’s cause pulmonary hypertension, heart strain and typically require an inferior vena cava filter placed by interventional radiology along with blood thinning medication …not bed rest. Nene is a fool for grandstanding something she knows absolutely nothing about and was rather fortunate. The people who die from this never had a chance or knew what hit them.

Yep ur right on the money, she played this up, they probably gave her shots of warfarin, going home the next day w a collapsed lung is impossible. She should take this serious as my sister has a clotting disease, that is hereditary

Hi tamara! Ive been following you for awhile but have been afraid to post but I just had to comment on this. I dont believe nene had blood clots as I have lost family members to this condition and know how long of a recovery process it is. U dont leave the hospital the next day. My best friend of many years started exhibiting the same mannerisms she did the night of the brawl and also had sharp pains in her chest. Mild heart attack= Cocaine….apparently is a hell of a drug

Most probably nene had a bleb (yes, that’s a real medical term) on her lung, and some small pneumothorax which can be relieved by needle aspiration or, if insignificant enough, left to resolve on its own.

She totally exaggerated the total collapse story because…she’s a lying liar who lies.

I guess at this point, NeNe told Dr. Oz the truth, and totally exaggerated the collapsed lung part with Andy. She is so stupid. There’s video out there that proves she’s lying over nothing. Blood clots in both lungs and a LITTLE collapsed at the bottom is a big deal. I’d be freaked, but I wouldn’t go on national tv and say one and a half of my lung was collapsed when when it can be verified that they weren’t. She is so stupid. THAT’S the kind of shit that makes me wonder about the drug rumors because she can’t keep her shit straight.

I still don’t believe her TT both are serious conditions and would require more than an overnight stay and monitoring.

I’m still on the fence when it comes to her and this illness – I’ve not personally suffered this particular illness but know many others who have and they either had a 5 days hospitalization, 2 day hospitalization or sad as it is died. The specialized medication that you have to take for clots leaves you limited in a lot of your daily activities for quite a while – thus my saying I’m on still on the fence with this.

My 2 cents – Nene had some old lady condition that wasn’t cute and the investigated the possibility of a blood clot so she rode with it. I live in Australia & because we have such long flights there is great media awareness of blood clots & when someone dies after a flight it’s in the news. If you see a freak doing calisthenics in the aisle of your flight – it’s an Australian doing their australian medical board exercises, so I have a healthy fear of blood clots. If you have just flown – they will investigate that first up – but if she actually had a clot – I will eat my laptop.
