Couples Therapy Recap: Playa 4 Life

January 31, 2014 by tamaratattles 28 Comments

Couples TherapyWe are half way through therapy according to Dr. Jenn.  Sounds like this is going to be a very short season.  Dr. Jenn explains that Liz caught Jon masturbating and he is lying about it. This she claims is the perfect segue into today’s group. I can barely believe I typed that let alone that Dr, Jenn said it.  The topic is sex.

Jon loves sex with Liz.  When she isn’t in the mood he masturbates. Dr. Jenn let Liz have it for shaming him and emasculating him when she caught him masturbating. Liz seems pissed and Jon will likely pay for this later.

Dr. Jenn essentially asks Farrah if guys think she is an easy lay since she is a porn star? The exchange three sentences without Farrah fake crying.

Ghostface-Killa-Couples-Therapy

Dr. Jenn moves on to Ghost and says basically, in his industry, guys are out to bang whoever.  Ghost says if he is down with a partner that is not the case.  Ghost says for the second time that he was surprised that Kelsey had feelings for him.  Ghost and Kelsey to not even glance in the same direction as each other. Ghost is practically laying down on the couch and staring up at the underside of his ball cap. Kelsey is pissed.

Sada feels like she is always the initiator and it makes her insecure. Whitney feels like she has to mother Sada a lot. Sada is the needy one in the relationship. Whitney tries to comfort Sada. Sada shuts down.  Whitney and Sada  try to talk but keep misfiring.

We skipped Taylor and John. Did they just not participate or was their scene edited out for some reason?

Liz apologizes to Jon. They sort of makeup. I don’t see this relationship lasting.

Liz meets with Ghost to get the straight talk. Ghost says that his relationship with Kelsey is new and good and they never argued until they came to therapy. Ghost feels like therapy is making him look bad. Ghost says it’s too early in his relationship with Kelsey for things to get so serious, because he is in love with someone else.  He has been dating Latrice for two years. Ghost wants Latrice and Kelsey to meet so he can see what he wants to do. Dr. Jenn points out this is not a good idea and it will devastate Kelsey. Ghost asks how the other girl would feel. Really, Ghost? How the hell are men’s brains wired this way? Ghost says it would be good therapy for him for all the women to get together. You know Dr. Jenn is going to bring in Latrice anyway.  Is it a disastrous idea and a piss poor excuse for therapy? Yup?  But it’s great TV so, bring out Latrice!

Sada and Whitney are frustrating to watch. Both are trying but neither are connecting. Dr. Jenn tries to explain that Sada needs to treat Whitney better. Sada alludes to family issues and her father’s quick temper. Dr. Jenn suggests that Sada is recreating the way her father interacted with her mother. Well, she doesn’t exactly but she should be. Perhaps that part was edited out because Sada was reluctant to discuss her father in any real detail on camera.

Kelsey Couples THerapy hotDr. Jenn meets with Ghost and Kelsey so Ghost can break the news about Latrice to Kelsey. Ghost gives Kelsey the torn between to lovers speech. Then he says he wants the three of them to sit down and talk. Kelsey wants to leave the show.  She realizes she is the side chick. Ghost tells Kelsey he loves her and pets on her. He mistakenly thinks he has her back in line.  So he tests it. He sends her to get him some apple juice. And she goes to fetch. He is feeling satisfied now. She’s back where he wants her.  She comes back out with a glass of juice and tosses it in Ghost’s face.

It is interesting to note that Taylor and John were barely seen and said pretty much nothing this entire episode. In fact, that was the most interesting part of the episode.

Next Week: Farrah tells Dr. Lynn “the most horrific experiences she has heard in all her years of therapy.’  Farrah does the ugly cry. Latrice comes to the house. All hell breaks loose.

Oh how the Mighty Ghostface Killa has fallen!! He really is killing his hip-hop cred with this one but at least its not a Flava Flav level. Im so confused on how him and Kelsey got on here and WHY?? Taylor and John…I can’t with them all because of Taylor. Farrah…she needs a sober living facility strictly for the round the clock therapy and the reality check she’d get from an angry addict. I REFUSE with that chick! Couldn’t stand the heffa on Teen Mom!

Not to mention that this is the SECOND time she tried (and failed) to hire a man to appear on this show with her as her “boyfriend”. She disgusts me beyond words.

Why would these people go on this show? I can’t see any benefit beyond a paycheck and that can’t be that much. They receive poor therapy, public humiliation and long-lasting shame. I don’t get it.

Maybe John blubber ,the lawyer, finally figured that out so that’s why he and taylor have disappeared.

They were still there but not in any shots with anyone else other than therapy. They went to group. Dr. Jenn said the topic is sex. Taylor said “We’ve been waiting for this one!” John said nothing. And I don’t recall ever seeing them again in any candid shots. I even went back to check outfits to see is Taylor’s one line was edited back in… but it didn’t seem to be, the clothes all matchedup.

I’m trying to figure out what type of training does Dr. Jenn have? She should have told Ghost he didn’t deserve to be in any relationship until learned how to treat a woman. Someone’s relationship is going to end on the show I hope it’s this one.

OMG. That would be perfect. I watch this show as a comedy and when they don’t focus on Taylor and Farrah, it’s not so funny. Whitney and Sada were painful to watch this week they love each other but their communication is terrible!

Kelsey’s situation breaks my heart. Been there, done that, scarred for life.

I wonder if bluher’s family, who seem to be very fine people, blasted John for disgracing them on national TV. Maybe that’s why he is mum.

It is so hard to take Dr. Jenn serious. Her squinty one eye look is creepy. And she can’t really believe anything out of Farrah’s mouth can she???

Kelsey is just a bad ass. Ditch Ghost and get on some reality show of your own. Also, I think after Taylor’s meltdown they are laying low – that was her MO on RHOBH, too – build up to some meltdown, then lay quiet for a while. or sleep off the drunk.

This is the worst season of CT ever. The fact that they have a single girl is laughable, but equally as lame is having people who haven’t even COMMITTED to each other yet, thus MAKING them a couple! It certainly shows how obviously desperate this show has become. At this point I wonder if there will even be any future seasons. That whole scene with GF and Chelsea and the apple juice seemed so staged. I mean what a weird time to ask for apple juice, no? Add to that the fact that the two of them aren’t a real couple and I just don’t buy any of it. Of course they have to bring in another girl. There’s no more material for the two of them without it.

I sincerely hope Jon Gosselin’s poor kids never watch this show… like NEVER! Oh the horror of having to see a scene of your Dad “having fun” with himself, only to be followed up by him talking about it with a group of strangers. Ewwww. Just Yuck. I can see Kate’s face in my head right now as she watches it.

It really was rather strange that Taylor and John were barely on this episode. Taylor was probably threatening them with all sorts of lawsuits or something. I have a feeling that she has probably been one of this show’s worst nightmares.

i was in Kelsey’s shoes too. and i kept wearin’ them. i kept chosing to put them on, knowing full well just where i was going, wearing those ot-damn shoes. aware of the truth, but ignoring the exit signs, walking small in those ot-damn shoes. they’re hard to take off. stick to your feet. always peekin’ at you from your closet. you never forget how they looked on you. her story is so hard to watch because it just reminds me of my own pair. sometimes i wonder if they’d still fit….
    however,
i don’t know which i love more, Ghost, or his balls…..
    women like me….pffft.
by the ps, that wrecka skin called Taylor, actually retweeted her own dreadful (spoken in Dwight voice) quote, “Reality TV has Already Killed One Person in My Life”… just when you thought she couldn’t git no lower…..

option! that, and reading above how you’d been there, done that, scarred for life. triggered thangs i suppose.. anyway, sincere thank yous for the welcome 🙂

I have already forgotten almost everything in this episode. It was that boring, except for the recap. I know why now – no Taylor and just bits of that poor, damaged, deluded Farrah. All of the others are really forgettable.

The only person in this season that I see benefiting from being on the show is Kelsey. I can’t recall her actually making an ass of herself, and this might just help her recognition quotient should she choose to do something worthwhile (or the opposite) after the show ends. And I don’t believe her connection with this Ghost guy is anything other than being a short-term part of his “team” before the show. I mean why would Killa’ Ghost come on the show w/ his supposed GF & actually have a real GF he loves other than a stab at rebooting his recognition quotient (real is relative in this show).

All of the couples and the cup with no “L” (Farrah) seem to me just desperate mostly for the $$ or the little fame associated with a real stretch of calling this therapy on a reality show.

Dr. Jenn, my God, it’s become an acting gig now, and are we really going to get another fake Farrah event in her life that so damaged her and Dr. Jenn is going to act like she believes it…..sigh….but of course I want to see it and Taylor & John 🙂
