Well, Olivia has a naked and a bit worse for wear Jake in her bed. Huck won’t talk to her and is tailing her father, Eli Pope. Probably to kill him.
Mellie and Fitz HATE each other. Cyrus wants them to go to Camp David for some publicity shots.
Annnnnnd Olivia is in a hostage situation with the mother of the intern that took the fall for being Fitz’s affair. Oh wait. She’s the mother of some guy who the FBI killed because they said he was a terrorist. The mother has a bomb strapped to her and she is going to blow up herself and 8 other people including Olivia Pope if the FBI does not reclassify the report on her son and tell her what the hell happened. Olivia will be handling negotiations.
At the same time some dude showed up at the White House screaming about a Remington case. Cyrus made security let him go and called Eli immediately to tell him “We have a Remington problem.” That phone call interrupted Huck’s plot to bump off Eli in broad daylight.
Olivia calls Jake and Jake calls the president. He refuses to tell her what is in the file because they don’t negotiate with terrorists.
Meanwhile Eli drops off a big envelope of money to some guy at the trailer park to keep his mouth shut about the Remington situation. The dude is insisting on meeting with the president but Fitz is kind of busy at the moment. Eli leaves the trailer and Huck is waiting for him just outside. Eli tells Huck that he saw him tailing him this morning. Huck is hold a gun right to Eli’s forehead but Eli is cool as a cucumber.
Quinn is trying to hack the FBI because, um…Huck is busy trying to kill people. David Rosen meets with Cyrus trying to get the damn file. Eventually Fitz tells Olivia that the dead son was a CIA operative who had infiltrated the highest levels of Al Quaida and if she tells the mother then his 57 undercover recruits will all be killed. Olivia tells the mother her son was a terrorist but she is still going to help her. They surrender but the mom in the suicide vest stays in the room and blows herself up. Oh well.
Olivia took a fall in the explosion but is fine. The actress playing Mellie is doing a fantastic job this season. The dramatic scenes between Mellie and Fitz are fun to watch.
Huck ended up not killing Eli because “he still owns and controls him.” Eli told him to kill the dude in the trailer so he did. Huck is crying to Olivia about not being free. She goes home to Jake and screams at him to explain how he is there, they never let anyone out of the hole. Olivia says that Eli still owns them both and that he will find a way to use Jake against her. All through this argument Eli is calling and Fitz is calling but she will not answer either. Elis is mad.
I still don’t know what the Remington situation is, do you?
Well, that was an exciting little episode? Seven days until the next.
