Bravo PR Release Updates Us on RHONJ Finale and Two Part Reunion

September 24, 2013 by tamaratattles 24 Comments

RHONJreunion2NEW YORK – September 24, 2013 – Bravo Media’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” wraps up its fifth season with a 90-minute event starting with the season finale airing on Sunday, September 29 at 8p.m. ET/PT.  Immediately following at 9p.m. ET/PT,  is a special “Watch What Happens Live One-on-One with Teresa and Joe Giudice,” where Andy Cohen sits down exclusively with the couple for the first time since their indictment to set the record straight.  Andy asks the questions on everyone’s mind including everything from who they think would be best to raise their four children if they are found guilty, to if they are in denial over the entire process and Joe’s thoughts on possibly being deported. rhonjtrejoebathThen, on Sunday, October 6 at 8p.m. ET/PT during the 90-minute Reunion Part I, everyone’s favorite Garden State ladies, and visits from Joe Giudice, Joe Gorga and Kathy’s sister, Rosie, come together to discuss some of this season’s most talked about moments. From Melissa and Teresa’s honest feelings towards one another to the current state of Teresa’s relationship with her brother, Joe, and the cast trips to Lake George and Arizona, the group reflects back on the antics from the season.  Dr. Venus Nicolino, “Dr. V,” also drops by to see where relationships stand since the cast’s trip to Lake George.

On an emotionally charged Reunion Part II, airing on Sunday, October 13 at 8p.m. ET/PT, Teresa and Joe open up about the indictment charges they are faced with; Rosie candidly shares her experience on the show, and the rest of the ladies discuss their overall sentiments on this season.

So the good news is that the criminal charges will be addressed twice. Once with the WWHL sit down next Sunday and again on part two of the reunion. Other good news is Dr. V will appear on part one of the reunion. And best news of all? It’s only a two part finale. Thank You Jesus!

So the WWHL special was taped before or after the Reunion special? I thought I read somewhere the Guidices addressed their legal issues at the Reunion with their lawyer present. Now they have a WWHL appearance too. How much can they really say without jeopardizing their case(s)? Sounds like the Reunion will be boring. And has the stomach to go after Teresa now? I can’t wait to see how the cast shake up goes for next season.

Interview was just taped yesterday or day before. So WWHL was AFTER reunion.

So, the reports of the reunion were right, about the lawyer, Dr.V, focus on the family reconciliation, and the Joes only being there out of the husbands. I do not know why the reunions need to be 90 minutes. As for the WWHL piece, that is probably for a way to say goodbye to the Giudices as there is little to no chance of them returning next season. They need to RHONY the lineup. I suggest toss Teresa, Jaq and Kathy.

According to what you posted above, the WWHL is this Sunday, the 29th. Part 1 of the reunion is the following Sunday and is 90 minutes…again according to what you posted above 😉

I still think next season is up in the air. I can’t see the Giudices wanting to film next season knowing that the Federal govt. is going to be after them even more and them possibly giving the Feds more ammunition. Andy may be waiting along with Bravo for the last minute to say that Teresa won’t be filming next season.

I think they may move the film date UP since the court date is moved BACK.

As for Joe driving, when you license is suspended you can drive “to and from work.” So that may be his loophole.

And while no revelations may be VERBALIZED, I want to watch for the body language.

They fimed season 4 and 5 back to back. It is posssible they will film Teresa for season 6. You never know if the trial will start as scheduled. They filmed the Washington DC housewives with all the controversy with the presidents’ dinner.

Hmmm, just my speculation here but something must have happened surrounding the Reunion to make the Giudice legal team agree to this WWHL sit down. From a criminal defense situation this just doesn’t make sense. Lawyers tell their clients to shut up not keep talking. All the footage can be used in court. Guess we will have to watch and see!

I agree. Which is why it is unlikely that the Giudice’s will ANSWER any of the questions Andy asked.

I’m sure we still get empty answers. I can already hear the response to the question about if they would consider Joe and Melissa taking the girls… “Nobody’s going to have to take the girls.” If we don’t get any answers, Bravo is really pissing me off wasting more of our time like this.

No revelations are going to come forth, that’s for sure. It will all be well-rehearsed PR drivel to simply try to satisfy everyone’s curiosity.

But the big question is if that pig “Dr. V” will ask Andy to touch her vagina.

In the last few episodes of RHONJ it shows Joe driving. Didn’t Joe lose his license? If so, why would he drive with everyone watching? Did I miss something?

My favorite part about that press release for the reunion is that it focuses more on Rosie than any of the actual cast mates besides Teresa. Just goes to show how awful this line up has been. Kathy’s smartest move was pimping her sister out for the camera’s, she would’ve definitely been fired a while back if she didn’t have Rosie to bring to the table.

Andy himself has already said that he sees the whole real housewives franchise lasting maybe two or three years at most but he didn’t necessarily say that all the incarnations would run that long. Supposedly all five of the main ladies have already signed contracts for next season and filming is due to start sometime in October. I can forsee Bravo filming as much footage as they can with the cast members up until time for the trial to start next spring. They’ll probably end the season on a cliffhanger sort of will they/ wont they go to prison scenario and then once the verdicts come down they’ll use that as an excuse to not go another season. Let’s be honest here, we all know they’re going to serve time and this show is so dependent on family for it’s storylines that at this point it’s not going to get recast and go a few more seasons like some of the other cities. The only way I can see it going another season once they’re convicted is either if they were to decide to let Joey and Mellisa have custody of the kids and next season focus on them trying to raise the girls maybe with some help from the other laides or if Bravo could convince Dina to come back and focus the show more on the family drama between her, Caroline and Chris/Jacqueline. I just don’t see it continuing without one of those options and i just dont see Joe and Teresa letting Mellisa raise their kids and I also don’t think Dina would come back even if they threw a shitload of money at her.

I highly doubt that they’re going to use those children to make a show. That’s just crazy. Those kids will be going through the most devastating time in their lives. The last thing that would be good for them is to have it on a tv show. These are human beings were talking about.

I think the Manzo spin-off is the trial balloon for if and when the Giudices go to prison, to see if this series could survive without Teresa. I won’t watch, but I bet lots of people do. I don’t know why. but Caroline still seems to have a lot of fans-TT included I think-while Teresa still has lots of haters who might be happy for a RHONJ without her. That might be a lot of people, or enough for it to be worth Bravo filming another year. I’d like to know how much the Manzo’s are being paid for this new series. I bet it isn’t much-I mean, what other job could Caroline, Albie, Christopher and Lauren get if they weren’t employed by Bravo? Maybe Lauren is making some money at Cafface, but I doubt it’s a real living yet.

I can see the franchise going to season 10. The franchise has had a good run. There is something for everyone.

I read on some celeb mag site, idk if it was ROL or People or Intouch, that Teresa said she turned down her own spinoff so she wouldn’t “ruin her family”. I can not imagine Bravo really offerring her a spinoff with all her legal stuff goin on?

OK magazine has a couple of very short clips here, http://okmagazine.com/videos/watch-teresa-and-joe-giudice-talk-about-jail-and-their-legal-issues-with-andy-cohen-on-watch-what-happens-live/ In the second one, Joe jokes about the potential length of the sentences!

In the first one, Tre says she doesn’t understand why this is happening to her,,

Wendy Williams interviewed Andy just this week and he stated that there will be some casting shake-ups, so I highly doubt ALL of the housewives have signed contracts to return. If so, I will be very disappointed. This was the worst season of any franchise yet.
