Despite the fact that we know there are only a few real sailors on this boat (Captain Lee, the two real engineers they don’t feature, Ben, Adrienne and Kat) I still really like this show. It seems to have a much higher budget than most of the other fake reality shows.
CJ wakes Kat up by trying to explain chain of command. As someone who has actually worked as a steward before, she surely as to understand this, yet she doesn’t think she did anything “that bad.”
Poor Ben has two vegans to feed. I have sort of fallen in love with Ben. Ben tells Kat she turns into a “trailer park, demonic, white trash refugee.” And that boys and girls is only part of the reason I love him. Adrienne is sweet to Kat and gives her a hug. Sadly, Kat will continue to trash Adrienne in the future.
I have never noticed before that they do not allow shoes in the interior of the boat. That seems silly to me. I hate houses where you have to take your shoes off.
CJ says he had a blood infection previously which keeps him from being able to scrub the waterline. This sounds like horseshit to me. Kind of like Elissa suddenly being allergic to slop on Big Brother. LOL the Captain says it is totally bullshit. Captain is unable to hide his loathing of CJ for another minute. I love this captain. He agree to do this farce of a show, but he is not going to pretend like these wannabes are seaworthy. CJ rants to Sam about Captain being mean to him.
I know they are trying to make this show about the bratty kid, but I feel sorry for her. Her father will not shut up about his daughter eating an egg.
Captain decides to go golfing with the guests which is probably a bad idea. These guests are very annoying. So with the guests and the Captain gone, CJ and Sam devise a plan to get drunk and go swimming when they are supposed to be working. How do they think no one will notice them swimming and making out off the bow of the boat. And they are swimming with glass bottles! Obviously, Alecks comes back and catches them. Alecks is pissed because Captain FINALLY let him be in charge of the boat(albeit anchored with the real engineers on the boat) and Sam and CJ have to cause drama. CJ refuses to get back on the boat and basically says he is not going to listen to Alecks.
Alecks and CJ have a conversation about the incident and CJ refuses to acknowledge that Alecks is his superior. Basically, CJ is a dick and Alecks is a dick, but Alecks is the dick in charge. Alecks tells the Captain about their behavior and recommends docking their pay since there is only one cruise left that leaves tomorrow and they don’t really have time to replace them (and they are under contract with Bravo for a set number of episodes). The show ends with Alecks telling them to take $500 and leave or $300 and stay for the finale cruise. What will they decide?
Next week is the finale and I am not ready for this show to be over. I have not checked the ratings but I am hoping for a season two, perhaps without half of this cast.
In other news, Reality Tea is reporting on Sam and CJ’s brushes with the law. Sam got a DUI in college and left the scene of the accident and CJ was recently arrested for assaulting his “girlfriend.” Go here to read the details.
