UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — June 10, 2013 — Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and three-time
Golden Globe winner Cher will make a live appearance on the June 18 season
finale of NBC’s musical competition series “The Voice.”
Cher will perform “Woman’s World,” the first single off her upcoming album of the same name that is due Sept. 24. “Woman’s World” marks the first album in 12 years for Cher and her appearance on “The Voice” will be her first live TV performance in over a decade. Chaz will be the woman on the cover. It’s a BIG cover.
Her record-breaking 1998 single “Believe” reached No. 1 worldwide, selling more than 20 million copies. Her 325-show “Living Proof” tour (2003-05) played to more than 3 million fans and is the most successful tour by any female artist. This is notable considering her frequent whackdoodle liberal twitter rants in the wee hours of the morning.
A winner of an Oscar (“Moonstruck”), Emmy (“Cher: The Farewell Tour”), Grammy (“Believe”) and three Golden Globes (“The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour,” “Silkwood,” “Moonstruck”), Cher has been an entertainment icon for nearly 50 years. She is eleventy billion years old.
Cher is the only artist to have a No. 1 single on the Billboard pop charts in each of the last six decades. In 2020 she will be releasing a single called Depends with a guest appearance by Barbra Streisand.
Lol re album “Depends” with Streisand. Depends are adult diapers! 🙂
Why Yes! Yes they are! And I do believe she is Poise—d to reach number one!
Sorry – single, not album.
Her plastic surgeon does good work…

Oh the SHADE in this post….I FREAKING LOVE it!
Still love Char though, got to give her probs for her impressive body of work and longevity. Doesn’t matter if it started around the time the bible was written 🙂
lol thanks for the reading comprehension. I may or may not have made a few adjustments to the PR Bravo sent me. Truthfully, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cher and went to see her at Macy*s as a teen. I was 5’9 and a six 6. I was three of her. She is the tiniest person on the planet.
I just altered the PR to see who was paying attention. I’ll definitely be watching her.
I saw her a few years ago and her opening act was Cindy Lauper! The show was fantastic! Cher is only five foot 2 inches and Cyndy Lauper is even shorter! Both can’t weigh ninety pounds. God Cyndy still sings like a canary! Love her! Cher was good too!
Saw Cindy Lauper in 1983 in a small club in The Village (NYC) on an obsure night out and she sang and danced in her bare feet all night (Closing time 4am) with one the most bitch’ bands I’ve heard. She was mesmerizing and deep. What a great performer live.
Love it – can’t wait. Not always a fan, but I do admire any woman who has accomplished so much without a man constantly propping her up. I was very young when she and Sonny had their program, but I’ve seen it recently and she was gorgeous back then.
Love your wit on this one Tamara!
Yes! And she is Poise—d to reach number one!
I find no humor in this at all. One does not jest when it comes to La Streisand. Cher, meh. Please do not let this happen again. @BarbraStreisand
heh. You know I did that just for you. 🙂
Ok – I’ve gotta’ weigh in on this one – Because I love older classic female vocalists the likes of Ella, Aretha, Chaka Kahn, Joni Mitchell, Ricki Lee Jones, or Nora Jones…etc ! ~ All I want to know – IS – Cher going to be using her ridiculously over used voice synthesiser WITH “The Babs ??” (don’t lick your teeth too much) – A secret of the some of the Greatest Singers like Streisand or Tony Bennett is they keep their real (big) noses. It has everything to do with their ranges and impeccible phrasing. I liked Cher best when she looked like… well, a real person who looked like Cher. (Plastic Fan-tastic Pop !)
