Not to imply that there is anything regular at all about you folks, but you may have noticed we have a lot of guests her for the Jodi Arias posts. I totally promise to get back to debating the state of Phaedra’s marriage, and trying in vain to break up with Andy Cohen very soon. If it makes you feel any better this whole trial has the potential to implode at any moment! Patience, my friends. We are just at a rare exciting part. I’ll be back to Jodi Arias one-a-days very soon. XOXO

Now as for you new folks here for the trial banter, welcome! Once this is over, I hope you will stick around and share in our fascinating discussions about reality TV! Stop groaning, we have plenty of lawsuits to discuss, like Stilettogate , an old-fashioned battery case involving a stiletto to the forehead, and hey, I am actually embroiled in my own legal drama at the moment which explains the “legal defense” button at the left. It seems a fired Atlanta housewives has more time than sense these days. This week I have not one but two ridiculous hearings to show up for! There is never a dull moment around here so stick around.

Now on to the jury. Back when the Casey Anthony case was going on, one of my favorite parts of watching was the jury selection. If you are like me you keep wondering what the 18 (now 16) people in the box look like. Someone sent me this list from Websleuths which is a great site for info on criminal cases. In the huge cases, there is so much info that I can’t wade through it all to find what I am looking for, so I was thrilled to received a list of juror descriptions. Let’s talk about them. If anyone knows the names of the authors, please let me know and I will edit them in with much appreciation. Let’s see who the jurors are!

Editing again because I already posted another persons observations once. She is A local trial watcher, Sandra Huskey-Matthews. I’ll list hers in green. It’s amazing how many times I google for info and find a very detailed report I forgot I wrote. My memory is shot. Jodi was on the stand during the green commentary and Juan was doing his cross.

Juror #1 (Dana) Church Lady- Mid 50′s, short hair, no make-up, glasses. This lady looks absolutely disgusted the whole time. I never once saw her look in the direction of JA. Not ONCE. She either stares straight forward or looks at JM.

She is a white female in her 60s and sits closest to the witness stand. She doesn’t look at Arias often during her testimony. People in the gallery observed her yawning once during an emotional part of Arias’ testimony.

60′s ?  short grey hair. Looks like a grandma or teacher. Closest to Jodi Leaned forward and was writing when Mug shot explanation was on 48 hours. Again leaned forward during the “Innocent of THAT charge” statement. Many people have said this is the one who seems to be agreeing with Jodi. I didn’t pick up on that. She does nod a lot, but more in an “I see where this is going” kind of way. Often has a look on her face, that I can only describe as the look you wouldn’t want to see on your grandma. She does look at Jodi most of the time, and writes most of the time.

I hope we keep this one. Sounds very pro prosecution (Look at me and my Laviolette type extrapolations based on a very short description! Feel free to argue with me in comments. Everyone does it!:) )  My guess is she is one of the jurors asking the questions we like.

Juror #2 Trump-Guy in 40′s, lots of hair, car salesman look. I called this guy “Comb Over” he had his head resting on his hand almost the whole time. He also never looks at JA. He seemed to be paying attention, but also seemed bored.

He is a white male in his 50s. He takes few notes and usually has his head cupped in his hands as he listens to testimony.

50 ish  I did not see after he sat down.

I’m on the fence with this guy. I’m going to look at the positives about being a car salesman and cling to the old adage, “You can’t bullshit a bullshitter”  and hope he decided to fry her a few hours into testimony and is just enduring the rest of it to sign off on a death penalty recommendation at the end. He’s probably fine.  #2 and #9 Left to go to the coke machine together. Two attentive guys with gruff dispositions.

Juror #3 (Gladys)Housewife-She is a big lady (tall and heavy set, not obese) with a very sweet face, no make-up. Interesting different view today. I called her the “Angry Neighbor Lady” Lol. I wrote that she follows along, but has a constant “sour puss”. I don’t know if it’s just “her look” or what, but she seemed to be frowning every time I looked at her.

She is a white female in her 40s. She takes a lot of notes and often watches prosecutor Juan Martinez as he moves around the courtroom. She has been seen submitting questions.

40ishOnly time I saw her was when she leaned forward and was writing during the Why Jodi moved to AZ testimony.

I like her. I’m sure everyone started out sweet. Her mind is made up, she’s sick of the glacial pace of this trial and she is ready to vote guilty. Trust me. I know the mindset of Angry Neighbor Lady. Don’t ask me how. She is probably writing snarky juror questions. EDITED SINCE ADDING HLN COMMENTS: SEE! I TOLD YOU I LIKED HER!

Juror #4 Grandpa-Bald, sweet faced older man that looks like my grandpa. I also named this man Grandpa. He does have a sweet face and seems the “calm” type.

No offense, Grandpa, but I hope you don’t make the cut. You are an unknown. You might be great, but I just don’t know.

60ish Watching Juan when talking of the whole “stalking” Bobby/Travis thing Writing and leaning forward while during the Why she moved to AZ testimony. At BMW testimony flipped a page while writing. Writing all during the 48hours/Mugshot explanation. Leaned forward when she said she was “innocent of THAT charge”

He is a white male in his 60s, and he takes few notes.

Juror #5 EJECTED FOR MISCONDUCT Tricolor-Early 30′s, short, stylish haircut with three colors, reminds me of one of my hairstylists. This is the only one I remembered Anita’s name for because her hair stood out, Lol. She reminded me of my best friend. She probably gave more facial expressions than any of the others. She is very engaged and took a fair amount of notes.

She is a married, white female in her 30s. She sits on the edge of her seat and is the most visible juror from the gallery because she has a “unique hair style.”

25 or 30 ish? two toned hair, light blonde on top, brown under the blonde. This is who I believed to be the most attentive Juror. Watched Jodi intently when she was talking about what sex she liked. Shook her head slightly when the mugshot came up on screen. When Jodi talked about using the BMW to drive sister missionaries, this juror was looking at her with a look that made me think of a mom who was watching a child who was lying. Almost an embarrassed look with “pursed” lips and slight head shake. Tracking between Juan and Nurmi during 48 hours clips, writing a lot during Jodi’s explanations. Nodding when the testimony was about Jodi falling asleep on the “lovesack” when he was out with Mimi. Nodding with a “here we go again” look on her face. I swear she almost rolled her eyes. Writing frantically.

Oh Juror 5, I don’t know what you did, but thanks for giving us something to talk (there is a link here) about during a long stretch of boring. See you on HLN!  P.S. I think you are a little old for pink hair, but you do you.

Juror #6 (Nancy)-Lady in her 50′s, lovely face, reminds me of Nancy Reagan with glasses, short sassy haircut. I called her Spikey Hair. Anita’s description is better. She was the only one I saw look at Jodi when the jury first walked in. She took a lot of notes.

She is a white female in her 60s and is also seen taking many notes.

40ish Only thing I wrote about her is she leaned forward during the testimony of why Jodi moved to Arizona, and was writing at this time. I also saw her most of the time, but don’t have anything else written.

Would Nancy Reagan give someone the needle? Oh yeah she would. And she would look her in the eye during the whole thing. Maybe. I don’t care if we lose this one. Wait! If she takes lots of notes she’s a keeper. LOL one says 40s one says 50s one says 60s.

Juror #7 Paul Rudd-Younger guy, mid-late 20′s with spiky hair, sweat jacket, looks like the actor Paul Rudd. He does look like Paul Rudd, but with shorter hair. He’s a good looking young man.

He is a white male in his 30s, and he is married. He takes notes and often bites his nails.

Older 20′s ? younger 30′s maybe. Put hand over his mouth when “why she moved to Mesa” testimony and about grandma. Looked almost frightened at the “stalking ” Bobby and Travis things. Leaning forward and writing during most things about her pursuing different guys, after she was broken up with them. Also had what I could only call a “are you sh*tting me” look when Jodi said that about she hadn’t looked in a sliding door, it was a window.

I’m guessing this guy was a defense pick. Doesn’t ask questions. I bet he loves all the sex talk and nude pictures. Probably will go with the pack. But who knows. Let’s hope he goes. OOOH I was wrong he is pro prosecution! Hell I think everyone is!

Juror #8 DISMISSED ON 4/25  The CEO-Good looking man, mid 50′s with goatee. Can see him being the jury foreman. I called this guy “The Dad”. He looks nothing like my dad, Lol, but for whatever reason… I got a fatherly feel from him.

He is a white male in his 50s and is married. He also takes notes and has been observed submitting questions.

40ish writing a lot when the “pursuing Bobby” and why she moved to Mesa Interestingly I have little written about him, though I remember having a good line of site

Meh. I hope he is more CEO that “The Dad” I’d keep him if I had to, but would not be sorry to see him go. I do not want him to be the foreman.

Juror #9 Willy-Old hippy with long white ponytail, thin, small build. This guy looked PIZZED the whole time. He seemed to be staring towards the media lady or just into the corner. I only saw him look at JM or JA maybe once.

He is a white male in his 60s. He wears denim on most days and sits at the end of the jury box. He sits close to the first row of the gallery where Alexander’s family sits.

50ish, long silver pony tail, jeans -To me seemed to be the 2nd most attentive juror overall. Writing when testimony about how Matt wouldn’t betray her. Paying close attention. Paying close attention and writing when talking of sex jodi didn’t mind. Paying close attention on the mugshot/48 hours testimony, writing. When Jodi said she didn’t see Travis and the woman through a sliding glass door, but it was a window, this juror started flipping back in his notebook as if looking for something he wrote before. Was slightly shaking his head in a “no” reaction. Writing alot, turning pages a lot all throughout.

I like angry people for the prosecution. Let’s fry her and all god home. Works for me.   #2 and #9 Left to go to the coke machine together during Tuesday deliberations. Two attentive guys with gruff dispositions.

ALTERNATE Juror #10 Barb-Female, 40′s, has the “sexy librarian” look, wearing a form fitting sweater, slender build and voluptuous. If ANYONE on the jury is offended by disparaging comments regarding breast augmentation, my guess is it would be her. She is the only juror I couldn’t see very clearly; just when she entered and exited the courtroom and when I stretched up out of my seat to gawk at her. I called this lady “Plain Jane” She was very hard to see from where I was, but I could tell she was taking notes quite a bit.

She is a white female in her 40s. She is an occasional note taker and she often looks at the gallery during sidebars.

Perhaps the only person on the stand who might get the D/s sexual aspects of this case. Probably will not enlighten the jury on specifics but may point out that a consensual sexual relationship involving power exchange is not domestic violence. Or, um, so I hear. Let’s keep her.

Juror #11 GOT SICK AND DROPPED OUT Poquito-Little Mexican guy (maybe 5’3) with long graduated pony tail, lots of facial hair and piercings. I called him “Paco” He was hard to see too, but mostly because he was slouched down in his seat I thought he’d fall off Lol. At one point he was bent over instead of slouching, but still very hard to see.

He is a Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s. He dresses casually and sometimes slouches so far down in his chair that he is hardly visible to the gallery. He does not appear to be taking notes.

25 ish? Long black hair, braided or pony tail . Looked Native American by the hair. (The hair reminded me of someone I know, that is why I say that. ) I could only see his body and arms most of the time, not his face. Leaned forward alot off and on the whole time, writing most of the time.

Adios Poquito, I suspect you were just sick to death of the trial. I’ve heard you described as fidgety. I get it, dude. Really. No hard feelings.

Juror #12 Neil-Early 50′s high forehead, glasses, looks very nervous and turns red easily. This is the guy that makes KCL nervous. I called this guy “Jim” I wrote “very hard to read”.

He is a white male in his 40s.

40′s T-shirt with a green cordaroy or flannel shirt/jacket over that, glasses – my opinion 3rd most attentive Juror. Paid close attention Tracking Juan and Jodi, along with most of the front row, when testimony about why she moved to AZ, was leaning forward and taking notes. Paying close attention when testimony of Jodi leaving school as a junior and moving in with Bobby, and also when testimony about her moving around a lot. Looked to be listening and writing during most of the trial.

I’m okay with Neil. But if we have to lose 4 more, I reckon he would not be a bad choice. If he stays, I think he will be fine.

Juror #13 The Wrestler-Younger good looking guy, large build. I called this guy “The Jock” He reminded me a little of Oz on American Pie (Chris Klein).

He is a white male in his late 20s or early 30s. He appears to be the youngest member of the jury and takes very few notes. He smiled when Martinez asked Arias if she could predict the future.

high 20′s ? Low 30′s? Flannel Checkered shirt, stubble I only saw him when lady in front of me kinda scooted over Watching intently when talking about how Jodi pursued Bobby, when she called him and he hung up and she called back. Shook head when Jodi said it could have been a phone malfunction. Flipped pages twice while writing in his notebook during this time.

You know this guy, if he really has ever wrestled is thinking that the only way this guy could have been brutally murdered by a small female is through stealth attack. He will be wondering why she had no defensive wounds or injuries more serious than a wonky finger. Let’s keep the jock.

Juror #14 Old potsmoking CPA (I have no idea why I wrote this, i have ZERO recollection of this juror. He did not make any impression on me, other than when I was going down the rows naming them.) I called this guy Sleepy. He swiveled in his chair a lot and fell asleep at least twice. He was also slouched down in his chair.

He is a white male in his early 60s who often swivels in his chair. He does not appear to be taking notes

50ish I could not see him after he sat down

There is a good chance that this guy goes along to get along in the jury room. I think the majority if not the entirety of the jury is headed for first degree murder. But is a good chance enough? He could easily be too laid back for the DP despite being “death penalty qualified.” I’ll decide on him later.

ALTERNATE! Juror #15 Elderly Man-This man is definitely the oldest juror, he occasionally uses the headphones to listen to the proceedings that Jodie’s Auntie uses. I called him “Captain” He has a very intense gaze. It’s hard to describe but he gives off a stubborn and no bs vibe. Maybe ex military or something?

He is a white male in his late 60s to early 70s. He wears an audio-enhancing headset provided by the court. He does takes notes.

I like him. He spoke up during trial about his headset not working. No BS is a good thing. He’s a keeper. Hang in there old man.

Juror #16 (Jolene) Maureen-Red haired, glasses (the red might be too red to be a natural ginger) If I had to guess one Mormon on the jury, it would be her. I called her The Secretary. She took a lot of notes and had a “polished” look to her. She had her whole body turned facing Jodi. I barely saw her look at JM. She was the only one that really made me feel nervous at all.

She is a white female in her 40s and also takes lots of notes. She swiveled her chair toward Arias during her testimony.

30ish – I could not see her very often I noticed her flipping a page when Jodi agreed it was her fault she got grounded.

She’s in! Notetakers write jury questions. Lots of them. Have you seen a bad question yet? Gotta disagree with the courtroom observer here. I’d keep her. I want to rename this juror… Jolene, Jolene, Juror #16

ALTERNATE Juror #17 Pony Tail-Young girl, pony tail, plain, pony tail and sweats. I called her frumpy lady. Not in a rude way… it’s just the word that came to mind. Very plain. She took a lot of notes.

She is a married, white female in her 30s. She takes a lot of notes. She does not look at Arias during testimony. She tends to look straight ahead or down at her notes.

30ish -I could not see her very often. Nodding and writing when Juan got Jodi to admit it was her who got in trouble and ultimately her fault that she got grounded.

She’s a keeper too. See #16.

Juror #18 The Artist-Bald, attractive, glasses, 50′s-60′s, large build, holds his notebook on a binder as if he’s going to sketch. He looks around the gallery a lot. I thought we met eyes a couple of times, but who knows, that room is so huge! This guy also had a very intense gaze. He took some notes. He rubbed his face and tapped his fingers to his lips a lot. He wasn’t the only one doing stuff like that, but I’ll get into that in my notes.

He is a white male in his 70s and is married. He has a tattoo on his right arm. He rarely is seen taking notes. He sits the furthest away from the witness.

50ish balding Looked puzzled when Juan was mentioning the sex tape. Kept glancing at Jodi’s family during the FHE discussion.Writing a lot when Mugshot/48 hours explantion. Writing a lot during the whole “innocent of THAT charge” testimony.

Not only do I want to keep him, I want to date him! Bring him to my mouf! 🙂 Kidding. Sort of. He is a keeper though. I wonder if that binder is full of women? Sorry. Strike that. WAIT WAIT WAIT My juror boyfriend is SEVENTY NOW and MARRIED? That’s a far cry from late 50s which was already quite the age stretch for me but BOTH WEBSLEUTH CHICKS SEEMED INTO HIM. I guess we are broken up already.:( Well. Green description has him  back to being 50. How can he be 50s and attract in one and SEVENTY in another?

And that is the list! We have to lose four more. If you could pick, who would you lose? Why? I’d send home  Juror #4, Juror #7, Juror #12 and Juror #14. With Juror #14 my number one target.

    LOVE hearing about the jurors! From the questions that have been asked so far, I’d say the jury pretty much feels the way most of us do about the trial. I was wondering if any of them had fallen asleep during testimony, and am not surprised to hear that at least one has been caught napping.
    Listening to Dr Drew’s “jurors” and court watchers, it seems as though Mr Martinez has won the room on a daily basis. I’m sort of confident that Jodi’s goose is cooked-but I thought that about Casey Anthony too so who knows?

      Casey Anthony was a completely different set of circumstances. I think most of the jury questions were excellent. They are paying attention. The ones to worry about are the ones not taking notes and/or not submitting questions. I sat on jury once for 5 days…it was exhausting mentally. This is such a high profile case …I am surprised more jurors haven’t “gotten sick” or been released.

      The comment according to rumor was something like, with as much as they pay the experts (may have been more to comment here) they could get us some comfortable seats. Or something like that.

      Okay, now that I have answered your question, you MUST play the game with me since “I see no hands” for other playmates. Which four do you want to discard from the actual jury.

        I don’t know if I have a preference for the jury. I kind of like the idea that being organic. But I will say I think the military guy might backfire on you. They’re usually harder on males and he’s not gonna like that deviant stuff. He’ll be more likely to associate it with deep character flaws then an experimental sex life. Just from my experience. 🙂

        2, 10 11, 16 – a few questions on could she have snapped or had enough of the abuse and lost it which lends to a woman asking…I think that could be 10 or 16 – as for Paco he would be the only hispanic on the jury then and may relate to Arias in some way and God forbid he try and make a big statement by voting not guilty because of it….

    Ok, Jurors #4, #7, #9, # 14. I hate to rely on others evals of these people, but based on this info this is my decision. Can’t wait to find out how accurate we all are!!!

    I’m just going to throw something out there that’s been on my mind during most of this trial, and I welcome feedback please. Personally, I don’t find the sexual stuff to be “kinky” as I hear others constantly refer to it. I don’t think it’s that unusual. But I’m in my 50’s, an old hippie at heart, and I realize my reality is different from many people. I suppose I don’t know what people in their late 20’s-early30’s do behind closed doors, but I thought they would be a little more “enlightened” than some of the comments I read here and other places. This stuff was between consenting adults. So where’s the scandal? The only thing about the sex stuff that seems relevant to me is that there is an aspect of addiction and manipulation that I see, possibly. How do you guys feel? Just checking to see if anybody reads these comments!

      I read them all! 🙂 And based on the furor over 50 shades of Gray, I think that must have been big news to the younger ones. 😉 I have been wondering which of any of the jurors would take it upon themselves to explain the dynamics of a Dominant/submissive relationship. We have a whole generation or two raised by “feminist” mothers. Not that there is anything wrong with that. 🙂 It does leave a bunch of people rather…uneducated to certain things. 😉

      It seems very shocking to me. Mostly because there is the twisted religious aspect of it. But also the Spider-Man underwear he allegedly asked her to wear (And there are supposed to be IM chat logs referring to them?) that raised my eyebrows and blushed my cheeks. And repulsed me, admittedly, because of the implications. I don’t think insisting on anal sex so God doesn’t send you to hell is the result of free love. I think everyone assumes because of shades of gray that this was some sort of experimental sexual relationship. But using religion to coerce sexual acts and domination while withholding other sexual acts is as old as the Catholic Church. I just don’t see their relationship as very sexually freeing. In fact it feels like the opposite to me. I think you’ve shed these constructs and its hard to imagine but coercing a girl to have anal sex exclusively because God SAYS be a virgin on your wedding day is still a form of spiritual abuse all to common. I can’t be sure that’s what happened here – and I sure would never want to imply that he deserved to die (heck, no) – but it does resemble that more than a 50 Shades if Gray scenario to me. Which I didn’t read. Because I’m a repressed Catholic 😉

        Sounds to me like you’ve kind of bought into Jodi A’s stories. I would say if anyone was perpetuating anal sex it’s JA. She’s the one who I believe introduced it to Travis as she seemed to have had it with all of her old boyfriends. This part really bugs me…The only evidence we even have that they had all of this anal sex is Jodi Arias. We all know how much we can trust her word. I think she used it in her defense to make people dislike Travis even more for being such a “brute” to her. I don’t believe one word about the Spider-man underwear. There’s NO PROOF! She’s just trying to “dirty him up” in any way she can imagine. Looks like her defense team doesn’t mind it at all either!!! I think Jennifer W and Kurt Vermin are about as low as one can get (next to Jodi A that is!) As to him inviting her over on the day he was murdered…We have NO proof of that either! In fact I do NOT believe he even knew that she was coming to his house.

      I like all the women. I think women can read other women. I think that we know that it’s really not that hard to be on the outside of the social group. And it’s really not that hard to not kill someone. Not to be discriminatory, but I worry about the old men who are still under the impression – or could be – that women are helpless and it’s hard for them to leave a relationship… And refusing to marry someone that you had sex with is still a high crime, lol.

    I really think so many of you people are so unkind. Alice has a right to her beliefs and she has read things we know nothing about. Juan is nothing but a big bully. I do not think Travis was innocent in allbthis but he certainley did not deserve to die the way he did. The whole mess is so tragic and life changing for so many people.I just pray that justice is done in this case..Alice is doing her job and their is no reason for anyone to disrespect her even if she doesbfeel justified in siding with Jodie Arias.

      I agree. I don’t like JM mocking her credentials or her work. I actually think that she has been very honest about the limitations of her position and her testimony. That being said, I agree with the blog that talks about her comments in regards to her experience with male victims. I’m not sure that she lied or mischaracterized her statements and I really haven’t heard any evidence for this… But I have to just call it like I see it and say that doesn’t ring true to me. I don’t think it’s important for her to have exposure to men who don’t abuse. Those questions about her bias against men were a little silly. But I do think it would be relevant if she was uninformed about the distinctly different patterns in male abuse versus female abuse, no? At the very least so that she could credibly reject that as a circumstance in this case.

      There is no documented case anywhere in the world that a person was killed as brutally as TA in the name of “self defense”. No where. LaViolin refused to acknowledge that JA was the greater perpetrator of abuse. That, in my mind, blows all of LaViolin’s testimony out of the water….it’s not credible. It is completely biased. Even Dr. Samuels gave a little to the prosecution and I cannot say he was 100% biased in favor of JA.

        Still, she could have gotten other material herself. She was getting paid for it! To me , she was just a little bit on the LAZY side in regard to her “research”. I think she figured she could just get up there and repeat some of her usual speeches and tell everyone how qualified and experienced she was & that would be enough. Really all she did in this case was to read some journals and interview JA. I don’t agree with disrespecting other people but she did a pretty good job of disrespecting Travis AND JM. She repeatedly favored JA and blamed Travis. In this entire case, JA hasn’t been on trial – Travis HAS! Seems like there’s something definitely WRONG with this picture.

          I totally agree Laviolette and Samuels along with Arias form the unholiest trinity . Murder was gruesome , blasphemy is worse. I really think they might face some kind of charges after the trial is over. For one, giving Jodi material to study so they could make their outcome look convincing. They are both older and probably near retirement and don’t care about what might happen to their futures. This was seen on the Casey Anthony defense side. An expert should be held accountable and ethics and principles matter. The amount of hours Laviolette spent on the stand spinning tales is absurd as Demarte pointed out too that 44 hours is way over the top to evaluate a client. There is just no good way to be nice about this. And what about Samuels filling out the answers for Jodi. Wrong , Wrong, Wrong….

        Hope, I feel like the defense set ALV up. They only gave her the stuff that made TA look bad. She seemed so surprised at times when JM brought certain things up that might have made a difference in her evaluation. Also, I think ALV should have been given JA diaries to read from 1998 the way Dr. D was so she could really have seen the BIG picture. I think the defense threw ALV under the bus!

    I say be wary of any of the women. bc if any one of them have ever encountered a “Travis” they won’t feel sorry for him. the reality is they had a sex life that they enjoyed, but he openly treated her like she wasn’t a person. he was straight up w her that she was never the 1st choice & he was always looking for the bigger better deal. lets face it – the way he treated her, was unacceptable to treat people that way & it continued & escalated bc she let him & he never had any consequences – she never revoked his privileges so to speak. but he pushed too many times with a very mentally effed up girl & little by little she started to plan his demise. that’s what I see when I look at this. there are tons of red herrings in this case – but I think the facts are fairly close to what I’ve summarized. I think when u go around crapping on someone and u know that someone is completely devoted to u (and not mentally stable), u r seriously playing w fire. I think he thought she was nothing but a play toy & I think she thought she would make him love her & when he didn’t, she went & planned the ultimate act of “i will show u who has control here big D (ahem big D/ little s) ” I often wonder what she said to him while she was doing this bc this act is obviously the final word, but she strikes me as a girl who let him know exactly what she was thinking so he would hear it & regret. she is a psychopath but after seeing Casey Anthony get off…plus knowing our legal system is so flawed, who knows what will happen here. I worry too that the guys might like her bc hey she’s that girl that lets u do anything… I hate this trial now, its too long, its not interesting anymore & if I were a juror I’d be doing some major audible sighing & I’d be annoyed w every q asked of these witnesses bc its extending the agony. I don’t care about stories of examples of abuse from alyce or the excited guy expert. i dont care for juan anymore bc hes extending the insanity, and he really comes off w the ol short mans syndrome when he gets going. geez at least if ur gonna waste time just make it a dbl feature & show enough & sleeping with the enemy. then look at the jury & say our best hope is u guys equate her to j lo or Julia Roberts, defense rests 😉 I’m not team arias, I’m more team realist & this has gotten to be so far gone they are going to piss the jury off to where the jury tunes out. my best guess is hung jury bc u know the q askers are pissing off the non q askers w their redundant snarky qs. why ask obvious qs when u could shut ur pie hole & we could get to the end. major animosity I’m sure is happening.

      I totally agree 100%. I think all of these questions are bad thing. As soon as I read them I knew that there were some on the jury that were actually going to just revolt lol. You can tell that there has to be some people on the jury that have a little bit of sympathy for her, and not have to consider that it was a crime of passion and not premeditation at least. Otherwise why are these other jury members asking you need innane, ridiculous questions that have nothing to do with circumstances of fact? I think that last juror wasn’t sick he was just sick of it. I think it’s going to be a long deliberation. A lot of the questions bordered on polemic and I see that as only necessary if it’s a point of contention. In the end, whoever’s writing these questions, and it’s probably just three or four – a minority – I think it will backfire on the first-degree murder cause. I think their threshold for being able to withstand pointless arguments is too high and probably not in line with people who have a life to get back to, lol. Since they’re not supposed to argue about the case yet, the questions seem to be a passive aggressive manifestation of point-making on the behalf of a few jurors who believe that it’s first-degree murder.

      I think you’re right about what happened too. Or could be. I think that that is the most plausible circumstance for premeditation. And yet the prosecution never posted! They felt that they had to portray Travis as innocent in every way, and I don’t think that that’s necessary. It doesn’t mean that he deserve to die but he clearly pushed this girl and messed with her. And to some extent – the extent is arguable – abused her. It was REVENGE. The prosecution is trying to say that it was revenge because he wouldn’t marry her? That’s just so dumb.

      Whether Travis was an angel or devil isn’t at issue here. Of course the defense wants to portray him as an abusive devil so the jury will wonder if he ‘deserved it’. I believe Travis used Jodi for sex and was honest about it from the start. She knew he would never marry her. She thought she could use her sexual charms to change his mind. When that didn’t work, she decided to kill him in revenge for his using her.

      I agree that the trial has gone on way too long-but I believe the jury’s questions come from their desire to TALK about a case they have listened to since January 2. Most of their questions are pro-prosecution because the defense hasn’t presented one shred of evidence other than Jodi’s story. If the jury is pissed, they are pissed at the defense, who are dragging this trial out with useless testimony, objections and hearings. The defense has yet to make a valid defense for the brutal murder of Travis Alexander, and they are wasting everyone’s time.

Did you hear where the defense was accusing the prosecution of taking up all of the time & blaming them for this thing dragging out?!

    Also, TT, The Artist is all yours. JM is all mine. Oh, how I LOVE the way he struts around in that courtroom and plucks his questions out of the air. It’s amazing watching and listening to him grill these people that believe they can outsmart him by giving evasive answers. While they haven’t often given in, he’s broken them down and shaken any credibility.

    Thanks for the jury thumbnail sketches. They are great! There has been a persistant rumor that one of the men on the jury is flirting with Arias, and she definitately has her sociopathic smirk on everytime the jury comes and goes. Have you heard which one it might be? I want THAT guy off.

    Other than that, I have no idea. The Anthony jury really spooked people. I can only hope that the people on this jury are much smarter.

I am trying to remember and “maybe” it was Johnnie Cockran who said, ” I don’t care to know if the defendant is guilty or innocent. I am being hired to prove him innocent-it’s my job”. (or something like that). I hope the defense will admit they ruined TA’s name and apologize, especially to the family. We who claim to be Christians are because we need to be in the church – not because we are perfect. JA seems to be saying she IS perfect – how can that be?! I read some of TA’s blog – and he appeared to be a man who made himself someone special when everything was against him. He wanted to be married and half a lifetime partner but was “shopping” around. Nothing wrong with that. When the prosecution, Mr. Martinez gets up – I cheer him on because he is the ONLY one speaking in TA behalf. (I hope the jurors do the right thing (vote my way-joking). AL-DW was to be the defense special witness. As much as JW tried to enhance her credentials but lying is not good. How many witness’s turned down this testimony before AL? or Samuels. Thanks for the space. hopebullard – justice for Travis. 🙂

    that’s a fair point that the qs may be asked by the jury as an opportunity to talk. but I have a hard time thinking that’s what it is bc I’m sure they have to realize that they can’t get to talking about it if they keep holding it up w qs. it reminds me of back in school when everyone was ready to move on or whatever & there were always 1 or 2 ppl who would ask qs or make commentary…like they wanted to hear themselves talk. and if they can’t figure out they’re dragging it out….then I’m even more worried about their verdict. and lets be real, Travis didn’t tell jodi from day 1 that he wasn’t going to marry her. he decided that at some point in time, but I think she started w just the same chances as any girl he met & I think she lost it & knew it but I don’t think for 1 sec this guy reeled her in by saying I’m really looking to get married, not u for sure tho, wanna have sex? he told her he wanted to get married, she got excited & thought pick me pick me & then things soured. he can be bad or good – none of that matters bc he shouldn’t be killed either way. I just think it would hv been ok for the prosecution to say, that does suck, they had a crappy relationship, this is a young man who had a lot of growing up to do, this is a man who still needed to learn about respecting others, but jodi killed him & that’s just not acceptable as a way to end a bad relationship & that we can’t tolerate as a society.

    Great job with the jurors. Makes me feel I’m right there . Here is a little trivia of things I have seen posted on different sites ,don’t know if they are factual , but nonetheless quite interesting. Gus Searcy was scheduled to be on a conference call at 6;45 P.M the evening of the murder June 4th. He was a high earner in pre-paid legal whom testified for the defense….Evidence marked #40 a piece of duct tape found on floor by washing machine was on Travis’s arm that day, supposedly used to hold a body bug, don’t know the reason he would be wearing one ….lot’s of talk about why the camera was tossed in washing machine when pictures were already deleted. Theory when she deleted the pics she bled over the camera from the knife cut on her finger. and threw it in the wash to clean it …What happened to Bobby Juarez. ? Jodi say’s shortly after breaking up with him , he committed suicide.. That makes 2 men that are dead . I wonder if someone has looked into that…Matt Mccartney where is he.. He was the man that Jodi spent the night with before the murder. He also was involved with the forgery of the pedophile letters Jodi tried to get submitted into court. Some are guessing he turned on Jodi . This was probably her ace in the hole…. These are some tidbits I have picked up on.. No stone unturned.

      In the pic of TA lying on the bed nude, you can see something on his right arm. Someone said it was used to measure calories burned. Seems odd that he would wear it when having sex, but who knows….Bobby Juarez is not dead. He is alive, an actor, living in Hawaii & allegedly working on writing a movie script about JA….A different Bobby Juarez was murdered soon after JA’s arrest but there is no association…Matt McCartney didn’t turn on JA, but was warned by JM that if he appeared in court, he would bring him up on perjury charges for his involvement in the forgery. Hope this helps!

      TT, My first thought when I first heard that question was that the juror was trying to get an answer the question about PTSD in that when Samuels made his diagnosis he was under the impression that she had been attacked by the ninjas. The truth was anything but that. I think you could ascribe the Ninjas as tigers and a mad, screamy, yelly, nasty TA as the bear. Your thoughts??

      I hope this guy isn’t on the jury. It stands to reason that an older guy would probably want to preserve her life – considering older guys have daughters or granddaughters her age. But, I can see no reason why a logical, young man would want to spare her life. Who cares about the laws of Chasity?

      If he did submit the question, then he is/was a 20 or 30 something year old virgin? Virgin or not, no one deserved to die in that manner. I don’t care if he did use her. Not saying he did b/c she let him and she even wanted to be mistreated, owned, handled or whatever else she stated. The fact remains, if he was no angel, then her broke down ass sure wasn’t.

      She is a disgraceful animal. If she’s let free, I hope pay back kicks her ass. She deserves no less than what she gave. Skanky bitch. I tell you something else to, the reason they wanted to pack the jury with men is they realize, she is not the young woman most women want our daughters to grow up to be. She knows most women despise her nasty, shiftless, lazy, opportunistic, whorish ass. I feel sorry for her mother. F’ing shudders if she were my kid.

        I think whoever asked the SKU question worked in retail at some point, which could be pretty much any of them.

        Thanks for play jury with me! It’s my favorite part of trial, trying to guess what the faceless jurors we can’t see are thinking!

        That’s very true, but I was thinking it could backfire having more men. Women may be lenient remembering men who treated them like whores, whereas men could see her as a fatal attraction type they all fear.

    I think 7, 8 or 12 write the question regarding the SKU. First of all, and not to stereotype, but guys tend to be into tech. much more than women. 7 may have written it as a means of looking for some reason to say she returned it and thus is not guilty. 8 may have written it b/c he sees things in black and white – he knows she’s lying, he just needed proof. 12, may have been looking for a reason to say, she didn’t return it and like everything else – she lied about that as well. Whoever wrote it must not have ever returned anything to Walmart or ANY other store for that matter. They don’t just give refunds. And, like the woman said, even a cash refund would have a trail. There was no receipt of a refund. She’s lying as usual. So, again, whoever wrote it either never shops much or wasn’t paying attention!

    Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a problem juror. I think the SKU questions, the tigers and bear question, and todays questions about Jodi’s shoe size, height, weight, etc with regard to the shelving. are all from the same juror. Probably #12 but maybe even grandpa #4. What do y’all think. I hope both of them go on the juror draw.

      I agree. I definitely think there is at least one problem juror. Not sure who it is. But the questions you pointed out above surely suggests that one of them has swallowed the Jodi is Innocent Kool Aid. I only hope that the rest of the jurors are strong enough to sway him or her back if he/she is selected to deliberate.

    Juror #8 The CEO-Good looking man, mid 50′s with goatee. Can see him being the jury foreman. I called this guy “The Dad”. He looks nothing like my dad, Lol, but for whatever reason… I got a fatherly feel from him.

    He is a white male in his 50s and is married. He also takes notes and has been observed submitting questions.

    40ish writing a lot when the “pursuing Bobby” and why she moved to Mesa Interestingly I have little written about him, though I remember having a good line of site

        I can’t vouch for the veracity of this info but would imagine the juror informed the court as it could raise issues being sequestered for an unknown period of time? He may have court appearance of his own….. wouldn’t be able to focus on the case? I dunno. I thought it was interesting and those folks over a websleuths do know how to sleuth!

    I am not liking the Tiger/Bear question to Dr. D. = WTH? Very concerned about the shoe, height and weight question to Det. F, (someone very analytical and ganna fig out a way she wouldn’t have tipped shelf, etc., the SKU question (to walmart girl) slightly concerns me, but could be just verifying Walmart’s policy regarding “Dummy Sku’s”,, not sure. As we know ya never know how they were thinking. I am only hopeful that the jury turns out to be like Scott Peterson’s jury, and there was one girl there we ALL thought was pro defense, (and supposedly she still writes him in prison), but she voted for first degree and death.

    I began to think in mid-February that JA was making eye contact with someone on the back row that came in at the beginning of 2nd row. When the 2nd juror was dismissed, JA no longer did that searching gaze thing. From that point on she began to talk to JW during jury entrances and exits. So, I could just be paranoid. I heard yesterday that the jurors had begun switching out seats. When I served on a murder jury we NEVER sat in the same seats. Sometimes we changed up during our breaks. We didn’t talk about it, but I did it to bother the attorneys. I felt like they were trying to get a ‘fix’ on me.

    Now I am hearing that Juror #8 had to go back to work. They were told the trial would be over by now and he was not prepared to be there any longer and asked to be removed. That makes sense. I am sure we will hear something soon.

    I would like to point out that I mentioned I yesterdays comments that I found the way that court ended yesterday with the jurors not being called in to be dismissed, the media being hurried out, and the judge’s sequestration questioning being worded very differently VERY SUSPECT. I am leaning toward him having had some contact with the media at this point.

    I TOLD y’all something was going on with the jurors yestiddy.

    What are the chances of both 12 and 4 being passed up? All I know is if anyone is thinking of letting her walk, they are stupid as hell. I hope some of the other more logical and reasonable ones stand their ground against any would be dumb asses. I’ve avoided talking about any of them except a comment about the lame judge – but this is what happens when a damn trial last longer than some marriages.

    One attorney is tedious and illogical reaching for a damn straw, the other is slow as hell and equally tedious. Don’t even get me started on the fucking judge. Any other judge, except Ito, would have shut this shit down two months ago. I am pissed and if she walks, I hope they ALL are reminded daily – in some form or fashion – of what they’ve done.

      I just watched today’s testimony. It just occurred to me that juror 8might have sat thru the testimony today, knowing he would be dismissed, just so he could get in a question or two. What if he thinks she’s guilty and he just wanted to help the minons? You know the weak and gullible ones? In any case. In any case, if 12 is buying even a 1/4 of her bull, I hope he is bounced big time. Damn the young and gullible.

    This is reported on ABC15 out of Phoenix about Juror 8:

    PHOENIX – A local Valley police department confirms to ABC15 that a man arrested over the weekend on a DUI charge was also claiming to be a juror in the Jodi Arias trial .

    The arrest happened on Saturday and it was at that time the suspect told the officer he was a member of the jury.

    On Tuesday, the arresting officer was called into a “sealed proceeding” with the judge, the prosecutor and the defense attorneys, the police spokesperson said.

    What was discussed in the secret meeting is confidential.

    Two days later, juror #8 was dismissed and the judge gave no reason.

    Since the topics discussed during the officer’s testimony are sealed, police said there is no way they can confirm that the man arrested for DUI is indeed juror #8.

    Thurs. @ Juan’s closing >> From very start of AM – JA was REALLY acting out in front of jurors. (see TT blog + comments) It was SO obviously pissing me off that I went back thru my DVR in Slow FF & Wow !! She clearly was making sexual caressing jestures around her face, neck, flipping hair, tongue rolling her cheek / teeth. She was tilting her head, turning her chair out …everything to her left (jury) side. Most obvious – the many !! head jerks to catch glances & stares w/ someone. It got so bad she kept sliding her hand down her peasant blouse
    neckline. (Had to be a juror) – Over across JM desk – then to the left, upwards.
    I doubt it was @ Det. Flores !! ~ Puravida thought she might have looking at the Hughes’. So, I sort-of ruled that out by replaying my DVR again. Hughes’ may have been too far behind her. – My $$ is was on a man. If you split the jury area in half – look left of center to see who’s left.
    #18 Older balding artist type / far up @ back corner? – #9 Older hippy-guy? and then – #7 30’s Paul Rudd good-looking guy ? Hummmmm ! Just saying …hypothetically, of course !

    I read a lot of this, liked the jury guessing. Did not like the son of the foreman. I understand standing up for your old man, but his old man in his own words, really fell for jodi’s bs. In a big way. He said that Travis had abused her. He also said she was abused as a child and really felt her anguish. Really??????He did not do his job. Yes they got murder 1, (I am shocked with him in there), but he signed up for a death penalty case, not to mis-read a femme-fatale! I am sorry, but she was a pre meditated muderer. Planned it for a looooooong time! Right down to the dying hair in between states. As a foreman, he should have taken the lead, or gotten the hell outta there. I really hope that he didn’t lie to get on the jury, knowing that he could not go all the way with death.

      What the fuck is wrong with you? He “signed up for a death penalty case?” Um NO, he got called, he did not shirk his responsibilities and he was chosen as the FOREMAN. He was given the lead, he followed the law. And he decided the death penalty was not warranted in this case.
