Jodi Arias Cross-Examination Day Four

February 28, 2013 by tamaratattles 85 Comments

jodiarias2It’s only day four of cross-examination.  Yesterday Martinez finally began to touch a bit on pre-meditation.  I wasn’t watching that closely yesterday because it just seems to drag on and on and on… I have been listening to IN SESSION this morning and they seem to piece the important parts together very clearly. I am not sure that is happening in the courtroom. These jurors have to be irritated and as Jodi said yesterday, “spacing out.” Jodi actually testified that her mind often wandered during other people’s testimony. LIE. It was also interesting to note yesterday that despite Jodi hiding her face during the phone sex calls when they were played the first time she was practically gleeful with her sociopathic grin yesterday. Today we should get to the stabbing and the shooting. Maybe. Let’s see if that wipes the stupid grin off her stupid face.

Can you get a manicure in jail? I just noticed her nails in that picture. Thanks for commenting and helping keep those who can’t watch up to date! I’ll try to post comments as well today.

!!!DRINKING GAME ALERT!!! Every time Jodi says “uuummm…” take a sip straight from the bottle of your favorite alcohol beverage. You wont have enough time between sips to pour a drink and you don’t want to take a full shot anyway cause you wont make it to their lunch break. My guess is that Tamara will be the only one to make it to the end of today’s session.

He is so getting her right now on the rope incident right before the murder. She said she was uncomfortable and forced and wanted it to stop because he hadn’t shaved. Then Martinez plays a tape of her saying he went up to shave and then showed a picture she took of him in the shoer freshly shaved. BOOM. She’s being Very argumentative. Going to be a good day for evidence.

Did anyone else see the forensic psychologist on In-Session (i think) during the lunch break yesterday? She made some great points! She said Martinez is doing a great job with jodi, bc his style brings out the real jodi. He is blowing up the ‘battered woman’ defense, and will eventually completely break her. I think this is why he spends so much time on various incidents, etc.
She also said from a psych perspective, they look at her impulse control….and 2 other things I don’t remember lol But basically Martinez is getting her to demonstrate that she is lacking those 3 things, thus, not who her defense is portraying her to be. I dunno..check it out! Haha

Everybody should review the crime scene photos and autopsy photos, especially if you have never seen them before, to understand the incredible brutality of this murder. I do not understand why Martinez is belaboring each detail of how she is stating, or not stating, every answer. I don’t see any ground gained, and everyone is sooooo frustrated listening to this line of questioning. I hope he will reenact each knife stab of the murder and spend as much time on that, as he is on this area. Does anyone have an idea why he is going on and on regarding the picture taking?

This is critical. They were both SITTING down 30 seconds before she claims she dropped the camera and he got angry. She was making him sit down so she had an advantage to stab him. And if she were sitting – the camera would have “fallen” a few inches to the floor, not from a standing position to have any damage or make him angry. He would have had to get up soaking wet from a sitting position and get out of the shower to come after her. Cancun was the hot button jealousy reason for the stabbing so here we go…Buckle up!

There is no way NO WAY that she killed him in self defense there is no evidence of that! Her legal team needed to use a better exucse than that one. Jodi isn’t winning any sympathy points with me! Martinez just made the point that Travis was so mad he was chasing her down the hallway and then that photo shows him dead back in the shower, and She is the one who moved him back there. She’s crying because she is so busted and cracking right now. No battered woman on the planet would have done all this and then even wanted to touch the man again let alone drag him down the hall and back into the shower all the way from the bedroom. I’m glad they have lunch so I can get some work done for an hour…I hope the murderess enjoys her bologna.

He was chilling and taking a drink of water, not disturbed at all. I love when he asks “were you crying when you shot him? Were you crying when you were stabbing him? Were you crying when you sliced his throat?” Oops Lunch!

IMO, The biggest problem the prosecutor has with their argument is that they argued that she brought a gun to murder him and that shows premeditation, yet decided to stab him first. I’m not saying it didn’t happen that way, but focusing on these little details that prove that she killed him or how she killed him doesn’t solve the premeditation problem. Because even if she’s lying about self-defense it doesn’t prove premeditation. There’s still manslaughter in the mix, or a lesser murder charge.

I thought that Jodi did a very bad job of pretend crying and that’s why she hid her face completely today. Just an observation from old retired kindergarten teacher. I’ve seen a world of crying and excuses. I’m so torn. Is she a sociopath or a psychopath? When she killed Travis she wanted to make sure that she was the LAST girlfriend he ever had. I’ve read that when people commit suicide they are getting the last word and I think that’s Jodi’s thought on this homocide. Travis never gets to have another opinion.

rather than use the bench that was sitting right there, Jodi opted to use ONE HAND and ONE FOOT to dig in the back of a shelf 7 ft tall to retrieve a gun to defend herself from a raging man, And she did it all without disturbing a single sock. And he didn’t disrupt anything either as he came chasing after her.

The jurors aren’t supposed to see the shackles, that’s why Jodi is brought into the court and seated at the stand before the jury is brought in. If she had gotten up their would have been a motion for a mistrial by the defense, or at least reason for an appeal.

The prosecutor lets his “macho” get in the way from time to time. He took a chance when he told her to get up. I kow the jury is not to see her shackled and it could have caused him problems. After afew days or showing his own attitude problems he got down to work and focused and did a great job. First few days, not so much.

Okay…. here is my question… Did Jodi Arias treat Travis Alexander like the camera… she threw the camera in the wash to destroy evidence…. therefore did she put Travis in the shower to try to wash away any forensic evidence? Was the shower left running on him or was it off? If it was off are there signs she washed water over him? I am just sorting the hemorrhaging evidence… If water was running over him for an amount of time could it have washed away blood inside the head (entering the wound and disrupt pooling or clots)???

He didn’t have blood On him in the crime scene photos where they first found him in the shower (which we saw today) so I believe she put him in there and ran it for a while to wash everything off. But then she would have had to turn to water off or the roommate would have heard the showering running I would think. And he wasn’t found for days. All of his blood is in the doorway to the bedroom where the neck was sliced. Shot had to come last because when you are shot in the face you are going to drop immediately and not run around being stabbed 27 times. That woman stabbed him in the shower while he was sitting, stabbed him in the back once he stood up and leaned over the sink, then sliced him neck as he was stumbling back down the hall toward the bedroom. She is the worst of the worst sickos. She probably stood over him at the end when she shot him and said “Now you will Never go to Cancun with her!” (andddd scene sorry lol)

i understand that this is the judicial process in AZ, that the jurors are allowed to ask questions of any witness that takes the stand, by writing them down and having the judge read them to the person on the stand. i thought they might do the jurors questions after cross examination, but it may be after re-direct.

I think Jodi went to school on the Casey Anthony trial. I bet she watched all the attention she received and figured she could kill someone, become a media darling, go to trial, win and become a millionaire. Testifying was her ace in the hole-she really thinks she can get either a not guilty or a hung jury.

I think she’s deliberately asking a million questions about each question to confuse the jurors. I’m confused about some details, and about why some details seem so important-and Martinez isn’t really stating it plainly enough for my taste. I am watching the trial on a live feed of the court feed on my laptop because there are no commercial breaks, but during lunch and breaks, I’m glad I can turn on HLN and hear the explanation of what was just testified to. I hope the jurors are getting it cuz I think this girl is a cold hearted murderer.

This whole thing is confusing because Jodi is lying, and will continue to. Common sense dictates that she had the knife or gun on him, probably in the shower from the look on his face. She took photos to remember his fear, then stabbed him and then shot him once to ensure that he was dead. She then continued on to the other man’s house, disposing of evidence along the way. She knew he was not gonna marry her and went there to kill him.

On a personal note, I broke my f u finger when it was slammed in a window. For the next 4 years I was physically unable to straighten it. I am now able to straighten it without difficulty. From my experience I believe she broke that finger during the killing. It would still be unable to be straightened at this point and bolsters the proof (along with the photos taken shortly after her alleged assault by Alexander) that the finger was injured by her delusional attack from earlier.

If you are a GUILTY murderer the last thing you want is a “speedy trial”, so the “Defense” is very happy snailing through the legal processess…everyday of delay possible is another day of breathing for a (hopefully) death penalty convict…and if she is only given a sentence 🙁 , she would get credt for time served—maybe even a credit of “time and 1/2”, “good behavioUr” (Canookian) and other BS….AND the death penalty will take possibly 12 years to appeal!…What ever happened to summary justice?—“GUILTY…OFF WITH HER HEAD!”…….BeaverDamn and you (TT) thought Canooks were nice, gentle, Kumbia folks!
