Cynthia Calls Kenya Out on Her Lies

November 12, 2012 by tamaratattles 23 Comments

I don’t usually pay much attention to the Bravo Blogs but I did just read Cynthia’s and wanted to do a bit of patting my own back because she called Kenya out on exactly the same lies as I did in my drunken recap! I love the new and improved Cynthia with a backbone and her own opinions! Click through to read what Cynthia thought about Kenya’s lies.

Kenya telling  Phaedra and Kandi that JET magazine asked her to be a judge at The Bailey Agency.
That’s the first lie. I invited Kenya to The Bailey Agency, and had I not she would have not been there, period. Out of the kindness of my heart I asked JET  if they would mind if she joined us. While they weren’t exactly jumping up and down about it, I got them to agree to let her come. Tip: Never tell a lie that you will definitely get caught in. Especially if the truth will eventually play out on national television.
Sidebar: No one has the authority to invite anyone to do anything at The Bailey Agency without my approval. EVERYTHING has to go through me first since it is my school.

Kenya telling Phaedra and Kandi that her security kicked Carlton (my assistant) out of The Bailey Agency.
And that would be the second lie. The man at the school with Kenya  approached Carlton, we all had words, and he was told to have a seat. That’s exactly what he did. End of story.
Sidebar: I had no idea that guy was her bodyguard . I just assumed he was a family member who just came along with her for the car ride.
Extra sidebar: It was a bit disappointing to watch Kandi and Phaedra faces light up with so much joy when Kenya was berating me at their first lunch. Their facial expressions were irreplaceable and unforgettable.

I don’t think they were lighting up with joy at her talking smack. I think it was more of look at this chick and things are going to jump off, let’s see, kind of look on their faces.

I think it is a little of both. We all know Phaedra and Kandi do not think Cynthia has a backbone. However Kandi can’t seem to do too much without Phaedra. Their Friendship is okay.

They seem to have formed a genuine friendship. This season looks like there will be lots of craziness. I like that Cynthia is getting some back bone.

Not fond of either, but that may change if Cynthia developes an identity other than Nene butt kisser. In fact, that may be Kenya’s function. To make Cynthia relevant. (and yeah, Kenya is a big fat liar and poser)

I’m glad to see that Cynthia is standing up for herself this season – that Kenya is a piece of work. (Off topic – that photo of Cynthia is stunning. A real model doesn’t have to toot her butt out on the cover of “Smooth” magazine in order to get work.)

Cynthia continue to do well, get away from trouble makers lady, it is surely not worth it and it is not classy at all. Sometimes we can make a mess of things, move on and do your thing. Ms Kenya shock me with her terrible behavior, money and fame does not always improve people’s bad habits. She need to pray about making changes to her life, God can step in and take her gift away, she should be so be thankful.

I’ve always liked and respected the way that Cynthia portrayed herself on the show. Many saw her as one of NeNe’s surrogates. I saw her as a restrained and very classy woman who was above the fray. If anything, I believe NeNe is beginning to act more like Cynthia! I appreciate that Cynthia carried herself in a dignified manner and represented how the Black women I know behave. This woman is accomplished, worldly, and a wife and mother. She can’t afford to act like a “street woman” and indulge in the foolishness that the other women bring. That behavior doesn’t compliment her brand or her image–and most importantly, her self. I wish more women would behave like Cynthia on camera and not make complete assess of themselves.

Phaedra (an attorney), Kandi (an award-winning songwriter), and Kenya (a former Miss USA) all have images they should be proud of and proud to protect. Yet, they all roll in the muck of mess for the sake of being messy… like swine! When NeNe tries to get out of the mess and “Rise Above” (hint…Kandi), who’s the first person to doubt her sincerity and try to pull her back down in the mess??? The “Rise Above” singer herself. She has a new man, and new home and is starting a new, seemingly happy, stage in her life. Yet, she can’t be happy for another woman who is trying to do the same (NeNe)? Ya’ll saw her trying to throw shade on Phaedra for hanging out with NeNe at their workout. She was trying to pull Phaedra back into the muck for the sake of being messy–while standing inside her brand new home and after kissing on her brand new man. Some people won’t be happy until everyone else is sad. Poor Kandi.

I have ALWAYS felt this way about Cynthia. This woman is still actively modeling for international clients, with agents she has to answer to. Agents for women in Cynthia’s league are a very powerful entity within the fashion industry, and she has a responsibility to work with them (as in make their job easier, and flow in the direction that it should) by maintaining a professional demeanor . If she suddenly starts showing her behind on national tv that becomes a problem for the clients who would like to option or book her because it could potentially reflect negatively on their brand, thus making her “un-bookable”, and easily the death knoll to what has been a wonderful 20 year career. Call Ms. Cynthia many things, but one thing she is obviously not? Stupid enough to play with her bread and butter. She’s handling her business, and without metaphorically rolling around in pig excrement to do so.

Stand up applause. It is not that I like Nene or Kandi, I honestly like them both for very different reasons, but Kandi is not above the fray and the way that Kandi and Phaedra celebrated Kenya version of the events tells me more about them than it does about cinthya.

I am sick and tired on Kandi harping on every little thing Cinthya and Nene do while she gives Kim pass after pass for her horrible behavior towards her. It is dissapointing.

I’m inclined to agree. I like the way Cynthia conducts herself. She is never loud or confrontational…UNTIL she has Nene by her side. Remember how she behaved at the Reunion. Also in 5.2, she was sarcastic towards Kenya, by asking when did you win Miss USA, was it before or after Vanessa Williams, with Nene next to her.

I like the fact that she is restrained and calm but she seems a little passive aggressive to me.

Kandi has her good points but she is not quite so ABOVE the drama as she would like us to believe. She can also be vindictive and manipulative, passive and ditzy.

RE Kim. She should have cut her off and/or sued her over the Don’t be Tardy for the Party affair. Business is business and Kim scammed her. Instead of crying at the reunion, she needed to stand up for herself and her professional work.

There is so much rivalry amongst these women. They are forever trying to outdo eacother.

      Kim with her look-at-me-I’m-so-happy-to-be-married-to-Kroy-we-can’t-keep-our-hands-off-eachother-
      Nene I-am-making-it-in-Hollywood

      It’s so very entertaining!

The way kandi acted at the lunch is exactly why I don’t like her. Cynthia is not a bitch nor is she really malicious so I don’t get it. Cynthia just needed to find her voice. As much as people criticize, I’d love to see them get on tv and have the world watching! Everyone is not an a type personality.

I mean, what can Cynthia really expect? She came at Kandi all sorts of crazy on the reunion, flipping her hair, rolling her eyes, when all Kandi tried to do was talk to her about how she feels she changes when she’s around Nene, which she absolutely does. I feel her on that Kenya situation, but Kandi and Phaedra aren’t her best friends, and Cynthia has let them both now that at one time or another.

.I will be impressed when Cynthia stands up to that opportunist she married. She is smart to protect her name an image because it’s not like Peter can pay the bills. I personally believe that if Cynthia’s money stops rolling in that will end the marriage. Peter has already made it known in the past that he will disappear when things get rough. Other than that Cynthia is a class act.

First and foremost, Cynthia is a class act. However, she does change when she’s around NeNe. Hopefully this season she will be better with that. I actually think she’s rubbing off on NeNe, which is a great thing. Also, Kandi is not perfect, but I can totally relate to her sentiment when it comes to NeNe. The lady has been two-faced and sideways to Kandi since she stepped on the scene. She never really liked the girl from the start, claiming in her talking head that Kandi can’t sing and that she thinks she’s ghetto. C’mon…really? Even on the last reunion show, NeNe was acting all stank, not even congratulating the girl at her own party when she premiered her product. She walked off, like the jealous dog that she is. She acts like she’s above all the women, and just because she’s in “Hollywood” now, they are supposed to forget all her shenanigans in the past? Don’t think so. Kandi should definitely keep her guard up when it comes to NeNe…but it is also long overdue that she check Kim.

Question: What make Kenya Moore a housewife I have yet to figure this out. I know Bravo didn’t need ratings this bad. She need to disappear. They should bring Sherre back instead of her Hell I take Dwight.
