Did anyone miss Real Housewives of Miami last night? Last night’s episode is set to run Sunday night right after the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Bravo did a whole lot of crazy stuff last night running RHOA and RHOBH shows all weird times. I’m sorry Bravo but if you start your shows at 8:45 instead of 9:00 that’s a programming disaster. I’m not sure what posessed them to do that other than maybe realizing they were going to lose a lot of audience to The Voice and X Factor who both had elimination shows last night. Still that was only from 8-9 p.m. Anyway there was no show last night and they are going to piggyback RHOM onto RHOA Sunday to try to drag in some more votes.
Speaking of drag, I finally figured out what Elaine Lancaster’s problem with Marysol Patton is. It makes way more sense that the whole “red carpet” incident that the editors want us to believe…
In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Gossip “Elaine” comes clean with the real issue between him/her and Marysol. Elaine says that he always felt Marysol was distant.
“Then certain things started happening as far as my work. I was inquiring to why and people would say, We were advised by the Patton group not to hire you. What?!? I started going back and backtracking and finding other similar situations where work opportunities had fallen through and tried to find out what the common denominator was.
So here’s this person who’s trying to get in the way of my work, my right to work at events and things like that. So when you see the thing (on the show) about the red carpet, it had nothing to do with the red carpet. It appeared that way on the show but it has to do with background between her and I causing me problems and trying to litter my red carpet. Every where I go is a red carpet, no matter where I go or what I do.
Marysol would go to my clients and tell them, If you have Elaine here it’s going to become all about Elaine in the newspaper tomorrow. It’s not going to become about us. You really don’t want her here.
Okay, this makes total sense to me. Marysol’s job is to bring publicity to her clients and the events they are promoting. Think of Cynthia and her Jet Magazine client of the Bailey Agency. Having Kenya there drew all the attention to her incredibly bad behavior and off the focus of the models and the magazine. Sure every event needs some excitement but Elaine, though not as ridiculous as Kenya, is pretty overwhelming to whatever situation she finds herself in. I can totally understand Marysol discouraging some of her clients from using her. Elaine is not the right fit for every event. I can also see how Elaine would be irritated that the Patton Group, one of the best PR firms in Miami would distance itself from her. Business is business, Elaine. I’d suggest you not be such a drama queen but, well that is your business. These two will never get along. In fact, Elaine admits there is a huge fight between the two in the near future.
I have the tea on just exactly what happens. In fact, I posted about it in detail here back in April. The short version is that shoe designer and one time Star Island homeowner, Lisa Pliner had a big shoe runway show to introduce her new line. The Patton Group was clearly not chosen to publicize it because Elaine Lancaster was the host. All of the housewives were required to attend. Tension was high already between Marysol and Elaine. Elaine allegedly said horrible things about Marysol from the stage during the runway show. Marysol was very hurt and angry. If that was not enough Bravo forced a one-on-one scene between Marysol and Elaine to instigate more drama. Marysol was so upset she tried to quit the show and taping had to be stopped. Sounds like RHOM is going to be muy caliente all season long!
Meanwhile, Sunday night at 10 we will have one of those awkward forced sit down dinners for everyone including both housewives involved in the bitch slap heard round the world. I can’t wait. I dunno how I’m gonna blog two housewives shows in two hours!
