Joe Giudice was expecting to go to court on Monday to attend a hearing that would set a trial date for his pending criminal charges. Today, that hearing was pushed back to October 29th. No reason for the postponement has been announced.
Juicy Joe lost his license in January of 2010 after flipping his truck in a DUI. In June of 2010 Joe decided to use his brother’s birth certificate and marriage license to illegally obtain a license in his brother’s name. That’s a charge with a sentence of up to ten years in prison. Joe, on the advice of his attorney, refused a plea deal of five years and opted to take his chances with the judge. His attorney feels that Joe should be eligible for probation because he “has no previous criminal convictions.” I guess he is not counting the DUI, or the previous driving without a license conviction from September 2010 where he served 10 days in jail.
I’m definitely not a Juicy Joe fan but he’s served the time on the DUI and the previous driving on a suspended license charge. I understand the government does not look kindly on falsifying applications for government documents, but even five years seems really harsh to me. Do you think that New Jersey is using The Real Housewives popularity to make an example out of Joe? I know he is not a very sympathetic character, but do you think he should do a serious prison sentence? Talk to me.
Sorry, but he is looking good in that top photo. Especially if you can’t hear him and can imagine him 6′. If the backhair could be cropped go, oh maloone.
If I were Joe I would beg for the 10 year sentence just to get away from Teresa and those little gypsy kids.
Why you gotta kid-bash????
You’re disgusting!
lol back off my knucklehead. He’s funny. *insert It’s a funny! Don’t you have a sense of humor Tre gif here…*
Why is newjerzey boy obsessed with Teresa.???
Oh clearly you haven’t seen any of Teresa’s truly obsessed fans. Count your blessings.
I mean a obessed Teresa hater.
ROTLOL!!
@NewJerzeyBoy, omg, your comment is so darn funny, literally I LOL, thats just to funny!!
Again?
OK, about the picture of juicy…
The 2 Joe’s are both so well muscled,
am I the only one who wonders about steroids?
Deat Tt, in Nj DUI’s do not count as criminal convictions. I think no matter what he is goin to do time since I live in this state but with our crowded prisons he could do house arrest. The crime should fit the punishment 6 months to me would be fair, 3 years probation, and lose of license for 5 years. He does have acase for not getting a fair trial given the comments Chris Laurita made on the show, pres, WWL. This trainwreck of a show may give Joe his fries spass.
I assumed you were crazy, but I googled first before coming to tell you how ridiculous your comment is. And I’ll be damned if it’s not the state of New Jersey that is crazy.
DWI is a traffic offense only in New Jersey.
Because it is a traffic offense only, there are no jury trials in DWI cases in New Jersey.
It is NOT a criminal offense. You are not finger-printed. The arrest record will not show up in any criminal data base. If you are convicted in New Jersey of DWI, the conviction will only show up in Motor Vehicle Commission records.
It is a criminal charge in most other states.

Does Juicy ever wear his wedding band?
I’m feeling another In Touch cover story about all of this…
Demi Moore’s daughter got caught underage drinking on a patio of a bar in new york…n handed police a fake i.d. was busted…. earned probation …in a year all will disappear from her record she is now 20. joe did not use the fake id… but he did falsely obtain it as well as Demi daughter.. she obtained a false id n no one charged her?
Two different states and two very different charges. Scout was charged with criminal impersonation and open container (both misdemeanors). Joe is charged with fraudulently obtaining a government document through fraud (thats a felony in NJ) and criminal impersonation (a misdemeanor). A 20 year old using a friend’s ID to buy beer is not as big a deal as going into a goverment agency and fraudulently aquiring a Driver’s liscense in order to pretend to be another person. Although, NJ’s criminal impersonation laws are also much harser than NY’s. After 9/11 fake IDs became a much more serious crime in a lot of states.
everything u state is factually true but morally its the same?
if my memory serves me Scout was not using a friends i.d. it was in her name…??
my son attends college n its well known for $600 anyone can get a usable fake id from china… i refuse 2 buy my son one but his mates have them n they work in airport bar n regular bars in mn n nd.
i get ur point that being sociopathic enough to take ur brothers documents into a federal building with intent to defraud is a serious matter scary matter
but isnt buying a fake id from china to drink booze illegally the same as a fake id to drive?
i agree with ur other poster 6 months in jail n 3 yrs probation n 5 years no driv lic seems to fit the crime = imo….
Nope Scout’s ID was had someone else’s name on it. Thus the charge of criminal impersonation. Also Joe if convicted will lose his license for somewhere between 6 months and two years in addition to however long he already lost it for. @ years is the NJ max per charge.
ok
#rhonj How Melissa Gorga is a FELON: When Melissa obtained her new passport after age 18 it would have been after her arrest and the subsequent bench warrant issued in 1997. That means Melissa had to lie on her passport application as she has an outstanding warrant.
That is fraud and is a federal offense?
what were Melissas charges? New one on me. Catching up, been out of town a few days.
When Melissa was 18 she pinched something from a mall and got a misdemeanor retail theft charge. She didn’t show up to court and the case was never resolved. Somehow Chris seems to think this makes her a felon.Or that misdemeanors need to be posted on a passport application and other ludicrous things. It’s a total nonissue which is why I didn’t blog about it.
thanks!
