Andy Cohen on Wendy Williams

May 10, 2012 by tamaratattles 13 Comments

I need to address the Wendy Williams Show again this morning. First of all let me say that I do watch the show. I used to LOVE the show back before I started blogging. Once I started blogging and started researching stories and separating fact from rumor, it began to bug me that Wendy reports anything she hears as if Jesus Christ came and whispered it in her ear personally as truth. It was clear you could not believe anything from her hot topic segments. BUT she does have reality show cast members on, and sometimes you can get some information from the interviews, in spite of the fact that Wendy doesn’t follow up anything or give the guests time to finish an answer. Which happened again today. Click through the jump for the tea.

This morning she had Andy Cohen on to plug his book.  First, she asked about this story in the NY Daily News saying that Andy wants to distance himself from the Real Housewives in order to be taken seriously as a talk show host.  Andy of course said it was not true that he loves the housewives and dedicated his book to them. I’m sure he is trying to plan for the time when the housewives are a thing of the past, but for now the housewives are his bread and butter. She also asked why none of the housewives were at the book party Anderson Cooper threw for him and he said because it was Anderson’s party and he told him it was better not to invite any than to just invite a few. Actually, Bethenny Frankel was invited and attended. I guess he doesn’t consider her a housewife anymore.  He also said there is a big party in LA for his book next Monday and all the housewives are invited.

So then Wendy said she got a basket delivered from Monyetta and Ne-Yo and asked if Monyetta was going to be on the show (she’s not) but she just kept asking questions so it came out in this long stream of words “Is Monyetta gonna be on? What about Kenya Moore, and I hate Marlo don’t have her back!” So Andy didn’t really have to answer anything and he just said something like, “I always have people calling me with weird questions that apparently they are getting from watching your show. It’s crazy!” Great interview once again Wendy. sigh.  Tonight Wendy will be on WWHL. I have zero expectation she will get the scoop on anything, because I still believe she’s an idiot, but I’ll watch tomorrow just in case.

You know what Tamara, you are so right. I used to love Wendy Williams, but now, I done gave her the deuces, especially off my DVR. She is some-timing. When you on that couch, she all hugs and kisses, but when you're not there, she talks about you. No different from what she did on the radio, but she threw shade at one of my favs one too many times, and it was all lies, I guess trying to discredit them. Over her. Her and her messed up wigs.

I'm a bit curious about Andy these days. His WWHL show is pretty low class. It's usually profane, filled with sexual inuendos. He loves talking to the RHs about their boobs, booty size, hair, etc. In pictures taken before or after a WWHL show he cuddles up to them and in some instances, almost touches their boobs, etc. So, he obviously loves the attention, the sexual charge, etc. of having them around. In general, he acts like a high school nerd personality – one who wants to get close to a cheerleader….Now he wants to change his image and distance himself from them? Something is off here…or is it just me?

I don't think she is an idiot considering she is where you and others want to be. She just needs training interviewing in a short window span. I think there are some bloggers who try to build their audience by bashing others. Yes she needs to do more research but so do you and others. I'm not trying to be a hater, I like reading your blog because of your writing voice and style but I take your blogs and other types of gossip rags with a grain of salt. This is simply entertainment. One last thing! I'm surprised her team hasn’t provided her with the art of interviewing. That's a major skill and everybody cannot do it well. Keep blogging but bashing MediaTakeout and Wendy is simply not a good look for someone like you who have a very funny and tasteful blog. You don't have to stoop low. The fakes will weed themselves out.

It saddens me that so many people are being raised in a culture where it is assumed everyone wants to be on television. You could not pay me enough. I value my privacy which is why I blog anonymously. I purposely do not use my photo because I wish to control how my name and image is used. I don't have a personal facebook account exposing pictures of myself and my family to the world. One of the reasons I leave the troll comments on blogs is so people get an understanding that the Internet is not just full of nice ladies who like to talk about TV shows. There are some pretty deranged people out there and people who appear on reality TV expose their home addresses and their children to such people. That is a choice that I would never make. I'm sorry you don't find my bashing of MediaFakeOut and Wendy Williams a good look for me. However it's not something that is going to go away. I make the decision about what I bash or endorse here. This is not a democracy, this is my blog, my opinion and my attitude. I made no representation that I was blogging to meet the tastes of others. I blog for my own personal entertainment, I have opinions, I dislike things and people and Aubrey O'Day. You can expect to hear these opinions here daily.

Now, wouldn’t that be absolutely, unbelievable to watch? Different housewives (maybe hubbies/boyfriend’s) on a Big Brother/Survivor (even better.. no blow dryers, electricity, housing, toilets?) type elimintation show? You think we have seen “bithching,” but can you imagine what it would be like if they had to eliminate one another living in this type of environment????
      Andy Choen, are you listening???
You need to do a competitive show like this, using your “actors/actresses” as they are all in if for fame.and more, “one-up-manship!”.. Would love to see the Guidices, Bellinos, Vicky and “Broke-ster” Nene & Marla, Pahedra and Apollo, Gretchen and Slade, Ramona/Mario, Tamara & Eddie, Caroline and Jacq, Gorgas… and others… NOW that would be something to watch with all of them “sequestered” in a house / or island toghether for several weeks… Let the “designer shoes” fly!!! Anyone else for this show???? Ratings bonanza… 🙂

Take about Media Fake-out, Wendy is the biggest one there is. She's all hugs and kisses on the couch but dragging your name in the mud the next day with her "hot topics." I found her radio interview with Whitney Houston on Youtube and loved how Whitney (high and all) called her out on it and cussed her out too. I used to love this show and sometimes still catch pieces but the fakeness is too much. Plus with some of these celebrities, i wouldnt even call it an interview. Its mostly Wendy comparing herself in some way or some experience to the person on the couch or the "oh you look so pretty, i love your shoes, clothes, hair..etc" back and forth for 10 minutes. Lame.

She was better on radio. I think someone told her you have to be nice on TV, which is crazy talk.

It's harder for some people to be mean face to face. Not me, but you know some people. 🙂 I find nice for no reason to be highly overrated muchlike pretending like someone isn't stupid. I don't see the point. 🙂

Okay I get you! I agree I hate Aubrey O'Day too! Like I said I do enjoy your blog because of your personality coming through the pages and your writing voice. You're right, it is your blog and you can do what you want on it. As a frequent blogger, trust I get it. I guess you told me!

Rose, she didn't tell you. All I saw was her wasting time being defensive and not even having the decency to acknowledge or say thank you for the positive comments you made about her and the blog:Nice writing voice Nice writing styleVery funny blogVery tasteful blogOne says sassy…another says prideful.
