Sherri Shepherd took some time off from The View to head to Atlanta this week to shoot a cameo appearance on Steve Harvey’s upcoming film Think Like a Man. Word from the set is that the cast loved Sherri who spent her lunch break talking to the extras, answering questions and giving advice. Sherri was at The Punchline where Rodney Perry and Bone Hampton were performing on Wednesday and she took the stage to do a routine of her own.
In addition to finishing up filming, Steve Harvey has some legal issues to deal with surrounding his divorce in 2005. His ex-wife Mary was thrown In Jail in Texas on October 31. Mary says she got the trick with no treat! According Mary, she was told she had a warrant out for her arrest regarding a missing a court date in March so she went to the courthouse to check. Lo and behold, there was a bench warrant out for her and she was taken into custody and released on the same day. Bail was set at five thousand dollars. Mary has a new court date on November 11 to hopefully work out her legal disputes with Steve once and for all. Steve has custody of their son, Wynton who lives with Steve and his current wife, Marjorie here in Atlanta. Mary has been a drama llama since the divorce giving interviews and making youtubes to tell her sad tale. Apparently coping on forty thousand dollars a month for years and then receiving a lump sum of 1.5 million is hard y’all! Bless her heart.
Despite the court issue, life is good for Steve Harvey. Think Like a Man recently had their opening day moved up to March 9, 2012. That’s the same month the book was released in 2009. He has a new daytime talk show beginning in 2012 that has already been picked up in several markets. Here’s hoping Atlanta is the next!
