Now that Tareq Salahi has reached some kind of financial arrangement with Neal Schon concerning the rights to intimacy with his ex-wife, it seems the three have all made up. Don’t you just love happily-ever-afters? The undisclosed financial agreement was the last obstacle to the divorce which was finalized last Tuesday. Now, as Neal and Michaele wallow around in the surf, Tareq is focused on his gubernatorial ambitions in the great Commonwealth of Virginia.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch:
On Wednesday, Salahi issued a news release that might be a first for a Virginia gubernatorial campaign. In bold type he announced: “Salahi thanks Neal Schon of Journey & Michaele for sending best wishes for the Virginia governor’s race!”
Salahi also invited Virginians to a campaign kickoff party and fundraiser at his Warren County home. The statement says Salahi “welcomes you to crash his BBQ September 16!”
For $15 NOTE: This event will include pyrotechnics and will be filmed for a new television show.”
Absolutely nothing says I’m a serious candidate for governor like filming your campaign for a reality TV proposal and a bunch of cool-ass pyrotechnics. Also running for governor is Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli who sued Salahi and his winery on behalf of the state claiming that he cheated customers who bought winery tours. He has also settled a suit with Salahi for making false statements in regard to a charity foundation Salahi ran. This should be fun. The election is next year.
