RHOAkimshittodoTime for a new Don’t Be Tardy…I wish they would do the new episode at 9 instead of 9:30. Kim had great ratings for the premiere, about 1.2 million viewers. I am in love with Shun, Kim’s stylist. Kim wants to recreate her wedding in five days and Shun smiles knowing this is batshit crazy. Kim wants to be on Dancing with the Stars yet can’t dance even a little bit around when Shun tries to teach her a basic step together step thing. Kim and Shun are adorable together. That was probably the best made for TV wedding ceremony I’ve ever seen. I may have cried a bit. Mostly because of Kroy. You could tell how sincere he was. Colin Cowie did a magnificent job, and got a whole lot of airtime and  mentions. It was truly beautiful. It seems odd that he was the MC for the reception. Is that normal? Anyway, I really hope that things work out for this family. 

The reception was priceless. Even though we knew Kim’s mom was getting tossed it was still priceless. (OMG, Kathy is on while I am blogging and she says Kim’s mom has “meth arms.” OMG. I can’t. Kathy is killing her routine about the wedding.) Anyway, where was I? The most important thing is that Kim’s mom has GOT to be on the sequel. And her Dad, OMG. Drunk before the father-daughter dance and dancing with all the ladies? Making borderline racist comments about the multicultural guests? This is TV gold. Loved it!

I do have some questions for y’all. Am I the only one who was surprised she wore same dress for first dance?  Bridezilla’s with two dresses usually have one for the ceremony and one for the reception. I guess when you have to have three you spend your wedding in hair and makeup.  Kandi missed the ceremony? Anyone else think that was on purpose? Rhinestone press on tattoos? Have you ever seen anything tackier? All that money and she still manages to get some “white trash” in there.  Why was Kandi so bug-eyed when she was singing? Am I the only one who thought it looked like she had a thyroid problem or at the very least a case of the Ramona eyes?  Perez Hilton’s jacket was perhaps the most ungodly thing I’ve ever seen a man wear.  Did you see Patti Stanger “dancing”? OMG!

Ya’ll are asking about the wedding and why the cops get called. I’ve got an early morning tomorrow. But I’ll tease you tonight.  You’ll notice that the whole show they have spent a lot of a very short amount of time talking about the port-a-potties.  They’ve got armed guards to keep people out of the house, remember? Let’s just say, Kimberleigh refused to let anyone pee in the seven bathrooms with indoor plumbing during her wedding. It caused an incident. The previews seem to indicate someone was trash talking Kim and Kroy at the wedding, but that’s (as usual) not the whole story. Even family was not allowed to pee inside. This caused some… issues. And a scene. And hurt feelings.

Thoughts?

Edited: Just to be clear, this is  not an actual port-a-pottie from the wedding. I just pulled the picture off the web. Based on what we saw on the show, she went with large “nice” trailers for the event. Not that that changes anything.

There was a whole lot of tweeting going on last night during Tardy For the Wedding. It was lots of fun for me to watch because I started this blog just a week before the wedding and was shocked that people were sending me information almost from day one. At that same time, Kim Kardashian was in town and I was getting bits of info on that too. As someone brand new to blogging, it was hard to keep my Kims straight which is why at the last minute I was totally unsure where Kim was getting married despite having the information. It was so exciting.  Now I am anxiously awaiting the ratings from last night so I can just see how many of y’all that said you weren’t going to watch were lying. :)
FINALLY! Ratings are in and they are fantastic! 1.399 (.5 18-49) for 9pm and 1.670 (.7 18-49) for 9:30!  Why aren’t you people watching Kathy at 10? She only pulled .726 :( Is it because you are addicted to Scandal on ABC like me?  Congrats Kim!

The question I got the most was about the cops showing up to the wedding. Well, Kim’s parents have been sort of …um… unusual on RHOA and her over the top mother has a big role in Tardy. Everyone’s mother can be a bit intrusive during the wedding planning. Juggling the parents of both bride and groom is part of the whole ordeal, but when you are …er….um…let’s say when a daughter has new money, and the mother is unaccustomed to ginormous reality TV weddings, expect the unexpected. Kim’s mom is not exactly Kris Jenner. So sadly, the po-po is called on her by security during the reception.  Sorry to spoil the ending, but… keep your eye on Kim’s mom.

I didn’t understand the whole secretive hotel room scene with the Pnina Tornai dress. Kim went to the New York debut of the line and sat in the front row with Colin Cowie.  It was not some big behind closed doors thing.  Also, Kim is 5’8″.  I have to get on the team that doesn’t believe she is a size two. I’m 5’9″ and even at 125 I was a 7 or a 9 and was bony.  Perhaps they have changed the sizes since the dark ages, but I also have huge (real. real saggy) boobs and … well there just ain’t no way. I realize they had to alter the boobs, but still. That said, we get to see a different side of Kim on this show. We also get to see more Kroy. I like Kroy well enough but he is not my physical type. I don’t understand all the hoopla there.  He seems to have a good heart and an easy going personality. I loved Shun the stylist ( follow @shunmelson ) and the loyal friend, Jen (expect drama between Jen and Kim though) and of course KJ is stealing the show.  I expect the ratings of this show to get better each week. Next week it moves to the 9:30 time slot.  The first two shows will air immediately before starting at 8:30.  After that the previous weeks show will air at 9:00 with the new one airing at 9:30.  So the 8 episodes will roll out over seven weeks.

So let me have it. What did you think of the show? Or just rant about how you didn’t watch it because Kim is a big, fat, whore. Either way works for me.

NEW YORK – November 16, 2011 –Bravo has the hottest seat in the house for Kim Zolciak’s extravagant wedding in a new docu-series titled “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding.” It’s been just a year since the Bravo cameras captured Kim’s fortuitous meeting with Kroy Biermann, Defensive End for the Atlanta Falcons. In the current season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” fans share in the couple’s most intimate moments as they move into a posh new home together and give birth to a son, KJ. The only step left in their happy-ever-after is the wedding of Kim’s dreams.

“I am so excited to give an up close and personal look at the next chapter in my life.” Kim said “My life has turned into a true Cinderella story and to watch the pieces unfold is going to be great! I can’t wait to share with all of you!”

Each thirty minute episode will follow the adventures of Kim preparing for her wedding on the lucky date of 11/11/11. With less than 2 months to plan, she enlists celebrity event planner Colin Cowie to help design a dream wedding in her brand new multi-million dollar home. The pressure is on as Kim rushes to find a dress, lose remaining baby weight and cosmetically enhance trouble spots. With the date quickly approaching, problems mount– her invitation is leaked to the press and her mother refuses to attend the wedding. Still, Kim is determined to marry Kroy and won’t let anything ruin her perfect day.

Of course we already knew most of this.  Of interest is that the episodes are only thirty minutes. Perhaps the other half of the hour will be the Kandi Factory?  I wonder what cosmetic enhancements Kim had? Is that info already out there? Sounds like she got some lipo.  The story with her mother is not shocking. Word around Atlanta is that her mother did in fact come to the wedding but was rude and caused such a stir that there is some speculation she was asked to leave the reception.  I’m assuming the show will air sometime after the season finale of RHOA.  As for Kandi’s show, The Kandi Factory, she is currently taping and says everything is going well.

Hours ago Life & Style Weekly released their first picture of Kim and Kroy at the their wedding. Kim looks gorgeous in her wedding dress and Kroy is handsome in an ivory tux. Life & Style smartly purchased exclusive rights to all things Kim Zolciak, now Kim Biermann, back when she became pregnant with Kroy’s baby. The entire ceremony was filmed by Bravo and Life & Style was in town with their own still photographers.  As soon as the full spread is published in Life & Style then other pictures will also be more available. (hint, hint)

Kim tweeted this black and white picture (is there a bit of a sepia overlay there?)  to her followers after the Life & Style photo was released. She is bursting at the seams to tweet more. She and Kroy seem very happy. The marriage count is currently at three days. :)

 This is reported to be the wedding dress that Kim Zolciak wore when she married Kroy Biermann this morning.  After much speculation by me and other bloggers that Kim would be wearing a Pnina Tornai ball gown with an illusion bodice, Kim outsmarted us all with a handmade Baracci gown covered with Swarovski crystals and pearls with a full satin skirt embroidered with antique lace. She wore  a Baracci veil with similar detailing. The dress was purchased from Preowned Wedding Dresses  an online bridal shop for high-end new and previously owned gowns. Baracci gowns available on the site now range from $4,000 for a preowned gown to $15,000 for a new dress with tags.

Kim’s wedding dress is heavily embroidered and includes a French satin overlay that falls from the waist to mid-skirt. The opulent crystals and beading in addition to the voluminous fabric cause the strapless gown to weigh in at over thirty pounds.

Kim’ daughters, Brielle and Ariana looked lovely in sparkly short dresses of their own. They are seen at left with blogger Perez Hilton whose luggage I am assuming was tragically lost en route to the Kim’s  wedding causing him to be forced to wear, um ,whatever that is he is wearing.  This photo, taken in the reception area shows a hint of Colin Cowie’s design  which seems to have a focus on tall lighted floral centerpieces. Also in attendance at the wedding were Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks and her husband Apollo and Patti Stanger.

Colin Cowie, wedding planner to several celebrities has been working with Kim Zolciak for months. He just tweeted about how cold it is in Atlanta tonight, and that he had been setting up for the wedding tomorrow. So if I am right and it is at the St Regis, then this is where the magic will happen tomorrow. The Grand Terrace can seat up to 350 guests.  Sure wish I was someone’s plus one.

We found out last month that Kim Z was still shopping for her wedding dress when she attended the Pnina Tornai 2012 Bridal Collection Show in Atlanta.  This dress,(pictures left) seems made for Kim if she has lost all of her baby weight (and perhaps then some) for the wedding.  Since the wedding will not be at a church, I would not put it past Kim to wear this gown with the illusion bodice that laces up in the back. The full organza skirt is gorgeous. 

            
Another option pictured at the right has a jeweled bodice and a full skirt covered with feathers. I wonder if the best tailors could get Kim’s boobs in either of these dresses. Being a full breasted girl finding the right dress will be difficult. Y’all need to understand this before you go out and buy you some boobs. I’m just sayin’.

This dress, was the last one to walk the runway, and likely the most expensive. The ball gown has an illusion bodice, which I can totally see Kim going for and a very full skirt made of lots of lace and netting. I can totally see her in this gown replete with the ginormous hat waltzing down the aisle at the St. Regis tomorrow.
