ReDICKulous  rears his um, ugly head  on the next episode of RHOA making an appearance at Kandi’s Birthday party. Because Bravo insists on airing everything in any ole kind of order, we saw Kandi at Kim’s birthday party (actual date May 19th) then the baby shower (actual date April 17th and one of the first things filmed) and next  episode is Kandi’s birthday (actual date May 17th).
What is so damn hard about editing the show to run in order, Bravo?  Well, part of the problem is that was not Kandi’s Birthday party. Kandi turned 35 this year and she was not about to spend it with the RHOA. So what’s the tea? Read past the jump to find out where the real party was and what happened on the RHOA version.

Kandi actually celebrated her 35th birthday at Straits Resturant an upscale southeast Asian restaurant owned by rapper Ludacris and Chef Chris Yeo. Straits is somewhat popular among younger celebrities due to its famous owner, but has mixed reviews and managed to somehow fail an inspection just two months before Kandi’s party.  The guest list was both impressive and intimate including not only Kandi’s daughter and mama but her good friends Atlanta rapper Rasheeda, Derek J,  Tiny Cottle and Toya Carter from the BET Tiny and Toya, Former Mayor Bill Campbell and lots of other people I should probably know but don’t.

There were no signs of ReDICKulous at this event. There was an unusually um, non-conservatively dressed Phaedra Parks, apparently the only invited “housewife”. The pants are much worse than this picture indicates. Trust.

Now the version you will see next Sunday night, the made for TV scripted version, will have all the cast members except for one. Miss Lawrence will be there. Dear Lord, he is such a piss poor yellow mohawk wearing replacement for Dwight. Atlanta is teeming with hot gay men, but just as the housewives are charactertures of real Atlanta housewives, Miss Lawrence is the out-there stereotypical gay more likely to be seen on a gay pride parade float checking his lipgloss than in any respectable social circle. God, he annoys me. While we are on the subject of annoyances, Nene and Cynthia can’t seem to take their arms from around each other at the party! The are walking around like Siamese twins conjoined at the pelvis. You will see Kandi’s mama getting her back up about something. Kandi’s mama loves Nene, and strippers so it can’t be about either of those things. Or knowing Bravo maybe they wrote a role for Kandi’s mama and it will be something totally fictitious. What you won’t see is Kim Biermann. She will not film with Nene for the entire season. Not one scene. If they do the reunion together it will be the first time those two have been in the same room in two years.
