It’s time for the NFL teams to begin signing contracts for contracts for this year’s football season and the AJC is reporting that Kroy Biermann is negotiating a deal with the Falcons. Biermann is the first player ever to be signed from Montana after being picked up by the Falcons in the fifth round of the 2008 draft pick. Biermann as been called both underused and over-rated by Falcons fans this past season. Because of the change in defense coordinators, many fans believe his strengths will be even more important to the team under the new coordinator. Or something.
The important part is that the Falcons want to give him a four year contract for 12 million dollars. You would think that Biermann would snatch that up while he could. However, Biermann for reason I don’t understand is wanting to negotiate a three year contract. Does he have someplace else to be or does he really think the three million or so a year the Falcons are offering will have him underpaid in four years? Either way, as long as he signs something Kim will be happy and they can start thinking about buying the house they are renting from Antonio (and Kendra) Davis. Clearly, Kim loves the house, Brielle is settled in the high school and it is very convenient to Suwanee where the Falcons have camp so he can run home and change the poopy diapers Kim seems so averse to changing. Biermann could sign a contract as early as today if the two sides are able to work the kinks of of the deal.
UPDATE: Looks like Kroy held his ground and got the three year contract he wanted. Deal was signed today. The contract could pay as much as 12 million dollars. That’ quite a raise from the mid six figure salary he was early last year. We might wanna stay out of Phipps Plaza for a few days ladies.
