Atlantic Station is one of those new “live-work-play” communities that are springing up all over the place these days. Atlantic Station is actually the first one I was aware of when it happened five or six years back. These days their tree lighting ceremony is trying to rival the tradition of the lighting of the tree at Downtown Davison’s. You know, back when there WAS a Downtown Davison’s and we all hauled ourselves down there on Thanksgiving night for the lighting of the tree. That was like half a dozen brother-in-laws ago. Lord have mercy. Then there was the lighting of the tree at Downtown Macy*s which was totally not the same thing. Now the lighting of the great tree is at Lennox Mall, ffs, and they can’t seem to even hoist the tree anymore. I suppose the Atlantic Station tree lighting pictured above will end up being the new tradition.
Meanwhile, I ran across this picture of Kim Zolciak from days gone by apparently nestled all snug in her bed while visions of sugar plums danced in her head. Or maybe NFL players. Either way it worked for her. I completely admit, I am phoning it in this week, gentle readers. It’s a rainy day in Georgia and I have been stricken by the whole, can’t be bothered with the blogging research thing. I’m gonna snuggle up and watch some old Christmas movies. I watched Shirley Temple in Heidi yesterday. It was FABULOUS. What Christmas movies do you suggest? I can’t watch A Christmas Story until Christmas Eve thanks to Atlanta homebody Ted Turner, so I am open to suggestions.Happy Holidays! And thanks for reading. Y’all are incredible. God Bless you every one.
