RHOOCallTonight on the Real Housewives of Orange County, Lydia is having a salsa dance party and Heather really doesn’t want to go if Alexis is going (she is). Lydia has gotten the two to agree to sit down and talk things out. Meanwhile, Tamra and Vicki are talking about Heather. How things have changed in just a few episodes.

Heather and Alexis meet at a tea shop. I would think these two talking alone could do so without drama. I would be wrong. Heather is very defensive. Alexis says that Heather talks down to people. Heather says she always wants to talk about who has wronged her. They each agree to be civil in the future and then both openly doubt the other will follow through. So. um. Yay? Continue reading »

RHOOCVickistripperBecause both Vicki and Gretchen did not post blogs last week they both have extremely long ones this week. I covered the Lauri stuff from Vicki’s in this post. In Gretchen’s latest blog, the first four pages are talking about Vicki and her alleged adultery and pretty much that she can’t stand her. She seems very angry but other than that, it’s four pages of how much she doesn’t like Vicki. As I have said before in the fight for Tamra’s friendship, Vicki will win. The show will make is seem like this is because of Vicki’s devious trickery. It’s not. It is because Tamra and Gretchen both fought each other for a Bravo Wedding show and so far at least, Tamra is the only one getting her wedding paid for by Bravo. That is the source of their issues. The little peripheral issues with Vicki are mostly storyline drama fabricated by Bravo.

So let’s get to what happened in Mexico. Gretchen says:

Now onto other things! Obviously Heather and I were beyond upset when we were left behind at the restaurant, and even though Vicki was the leader of the pack Lydia and Tamra are grown woman and knew what they were doing. They should have said “no this is not cool” and turned around. I was beyond disappointed they didn’t. I was happy to see Lydia kept trying to call us at least, but bottom line they all stayed out till 2 am, and, as Tamra said, they were more interested in partying and getting drunk and ultimately proved that they didn’t give a damn about our feelings. I really don’t think I could have ever done that to a “friend,” especially ones that took time away from family and work to put the whole weekend together for me. Continue reading »

RHOOCVickiandgirlsearsOMG, I just heard the “Wrath of Furry!” comment by Gretchen. I didn’t hear it last week. How hysterical. Anyway, I usually saved the title until the end, but tonight, I just think this is going to apply to Gretchen. Call it women’s intuition.

Anyway, here we are back in Mexico with Gretchen talking about Vicki blowing her wad to Heather as they sulk in the back of the limo. Now Gretchen feels completely justified in spilling the gossip about Vicki being a frisky cougar to Heather. Heather is trapped in the limo which they are apparently going to sit in all night. It must have sucked for these two to be trapped shooting retakes in the limo all night while the other three get drunk on tequila and get donkey sex tattoos on their asses. But seriously, do you think Heather will continue the gossip to the other girls? I doubt it. I imagine Gretchen will blurt it out before Heather even has the chance to consider spilling. Oh, good girl Heather. See? She is already on to Gretchen and she wants no part of the gossip.

Meanwhile at the bar, the three elderly hoochies are dancing on the bar. Tamra dangles her lady garden over some mans face to proceeds to bite it and she looks shocked. I’m guessing they are over served. Tamra rubs her privates and then chugs a drink from between Vicki’s boobs. Lydia is doing better than I expected only occasionally rolling her eyes. RHOOCcast2Sorry for the delay on the Real Housewives of Orange County Recap, I took one of my great sleeps. It seems weird to be recapping it during the day, but here we go!

Poor Lydia has a scene with Tamra to discuss Alexis. It seems that Lydia has been tasked with bringing Alexis and Tamra together. Lydia says she is the friendship whisperer. She seems to be enjoying this role. Tamra’s transformation into someone likeable begins with this episode.

Gretchen and Heather are planning a bachelorette party for Tamra. Which is sort of hilarious because behind the scenes Gretchen and Tamra are clawing each other’s eyes out trying to be the one to get a wedding spin-off. Rumor has it Tamra won that battle. Back on the show, Bravo has made an ad deal with some swimsuit company that is not that chick from Shahs of Sunset  Gretchen does what everyone does when they throw a bachelorette party, they design a custom swimsuit for someone who cannot show up for a fitting. Yeah, I don’t get this either. Heather wants an art gallery and spa treatments. Gretchen just wants strippers. I am not sure how we went there but now they are arguing over swimsuits. RHOOCcast2I’m BAAACK! Sorry for cheating on y’all with my new Jodi Arias friends. Some of them watch real housewives though so we will have some new people to argue with and call names friends!  We begin Real Housewives of Orange County tonight with Heather complaining to Tamra. Gretchen was rude at my Hot in Cleveland shoot. Things are not perfect with my rich husband and beautiful family! Why must I suffer so much?! etc.

This shoot in Laguna is making me miss my friend Kimberly who lives in the OC about a 5 blocks from the beach (you may recall her guest blog here). Why does watching TV make me want to book flights to every location I see? I’m such a nomad. Must wander.  Anyway. Lydia is the “Cynthia” of RHOOC. She is the one that has to catch the outsider housewife (Alexis) on everything to which she was not invited. Lydia wants to smooth the waters for Alexis with the other girls and thinks she needs to talk to Tamra.

Vicki goes to visit Brooks where he lives in a house for which Vicki probably pays. She walks in like she owns the place, because she probably does. Brooks needs hair plugs or to shave his head. Vicki brings lunch from some place that serves an upscale meat and two veggies. Brooks wants to take Vicki to a nice hotel for the weekend, but she has to babysit and offers up the following weekend. Brooks is “unavailable” (he muttered that and I had to listen twice).  Unavailable because….? That should be Vicki’s first THREE questions. I’m GUESSING she supports his ass. The next weekend he goes to Mississippi to see his kids and his daughter’s play. Really? I thought all his exes despised him. hmmm. The whole scene seemed very scripted  and uncomfortable. What woman would not ask what he is doing during that middle weekend?

Tamra is meeting with a speech coach because she’s “never spoke” in front of people before. Blah blah whatever. I’m bored. I’m focused on how creepy this speech expert dude is. Continue reading »

Blogging is a weird thing. I feel like I need to blog every day, and sometimes there is just nothing that interests me or that I think will interest you. Other days I am blogging as fast as I can from morning until night. Feast or famine. And then there are stories I am not sure how to tell, that I want to write whether you are interested in them or not. It’s 12:30 a.m. and I have a blog with lots of sources I have pulled up but I am not sure how to pull it together. (Turns out it will wait for another day).

I’ve been cranky all day. The day started off poorly from the first moment and became more annoying as time wore on. I blame the utter failure of #compassion2013. It seems the more “successful” your blog becomes, the more comments you have, the more you are compelled to babysit. Babysitting the comments requires reading them all. They stream in around the clock. Lately, it doesn’t matter if the topic is a Bravo show or a death penalty trial the comments are decidedly negative.  Or illiterate. Or stupid. Or just plain untrue. RHOOCcast2Ooops. I lost track of time while babysitting another thread. So this isn’t going to be a full recap. Or even much of a recap at all. Let’s call it a “random thoughts” post tonight. I find myself saying that a lot about The Real Housewives of Orange County. It’s not that I don’t like the show, there just usually isn’t a whole lot to comment on.  We begin, or at least I’m beginning at the Wine for Wives Infomercial. Immediately upon arrival it seems the evil hand of Tamra is already stirring the pot.  Everyone is staying in the same building except for Vicki who has been ostracized.  Vicki already feels out of place being the only single lady there and now she is not even in the same building with the wives. She gets a little teary-eyed and the evil blonds immediately start to mock her.Tamra does the Adrienne Maloof “Someone is crying!” routine. They must teach them that in Bravo villain school. Terry  and Lydia each offer to take Vicki into their room (I am sure Heather will have a fit about that) which I am sure only made Vicki feel worse. Poor Vick. She is not a very emotionally independent person. Continue reading »
