I feel like I have missed another episode of this show. At least last night they put up a late night rerun so I can get caught up.
We start with Briana looking quite unwell. He sister Brittany has decided to get her snack on with a bag of gummy bears rather than lift a finger to help her very pregnant sister feel better, so Briana has called Luis to come over and take care of her. Luis is polite to everyone when he arrives, Brittany is stretched out on the couch while Briana is sitting on the floor. Luis is given the task of putting the new baby seat in the back of the car. I have never seen these scenes go well. Based on my observations the installation of a baby seat is beyond the capabilities of mortal men and requires lots of supervision and screaming by a mother who has already done the task. I feel sorry for Luis. I was correct. He eventually calls Briana down to tell him how to do it. I don’t understand why the female supervisors in these scenes don’t just do it themselves.
As it turns out, Luis is going to be in town when the baby is born. Briana asks him if he will stay with her and the baby for the first week. He says he would like that. Briana says she doesn’t want to be alone. Doesn’t she live with her mother and sister? Why don’t these two just try to make a go of it together? Luis really seems to be trying.
Luis took Brianna to her doctor’s appointment and she seems to be feeling better. She is being induced in a couple of days. Luis asks Brianna if she thinks they can ever work things out. Luis says he wants to be a family. She says she will see how things go once the baby arrives.
The baby was supposed to be induced on Monday bur on Saturday, she started having contractions. Luis met her family in the parking lot and as they were heading inside her water broke. During labor Brittany finally did something useful and videod the birth on her phone. Nova was in the room! Jesus. Stella came out with a full head of hair. Luis wiped away tears.
Kailyn is already thinking of going to graduate school because there are not many jobs for people with a four year communications degree. She’s thinking of majoring in business. It seems to be dawning on her that she is not getting her own talk show fresh out of college. She’s also realizing that Chris, baby daddy number three, is probably not going to stick around. She’s really an idiot for divorcing Javi. He was the best thing that ever happened to her.
In true Kail fashion, she sets up a photography session a week before graduation to get photos in her cap and gown. Later, Kail and Javi take the boys out for pizza. Javi is very supportive of Kail and proud of her academic accomplishment. Javi asks if he is invited. Kail says it is open to the public. They manage not to argue too much.
At graduation rehearsal, another single mom of four who is graduating tells Kailyn her story and congratulates her mother to mother on her accomplishment.
It seems the second she was able to take Jace on vacation, she and David took him to St. Thomas parking her other two offspring with their grandmothers. David’s daughter is also on the trip. Amazingly, everyone lived and Jace was returned to back Barbara in one piece.
It is Kaiser’s third birthday and Barbara is going to bring Jace to the party. Meanwhile, Jenelle and David talk about what great parents they are as Jenelle bottle feeds her infant that was born with pot in her system. Oh, I forgot to mention that Jenelle and David got married on Saturday outside on their new property. Jenelle and David fought like cats and dogs before hand. David was pissed that he does all the work for everything while Jenelle just sits around. Jenelle was pissed at David for selling the exclusive of their wedding to some site without telling her. They called off the wedding the day before and then stupidly went through with it anyway. We will be seeing that next season.
Of course Jenelle rented out a space for the birthday party. The cake had five candles. It was just Jenelle, David, Barbara and the kids. Barbara suggests that since they are getting along better they should all rent a cabin in the woods. Barbara has clearly never watched any movies about cabins in the woods. Jenelle says she will have to talk to David about it. Barbara says she thought they were getting along better. Jenelle says that really she is just being civil and only talking to her about Jace. Barbara seems hurt that Jenelle and David don’t want to spend a weekend with her and the kids. Let sleeping dogs lie, Barb. Then Jenelle tells Barb just because she’s not being a bitch does mean she still doesn’t like Barb. Jenelle is such a bitch to Barbara.
Later Jenelle trashes her mother to the production crew. They were the only other people at “the party.” Jenelle is of course the victim. She says she is not inviting her to the wedding and thinks that will punish her. I doubt Barbara would want to go to that farce of a wedding.
Chelsea and her brood are going to Florida to see Winter, the dolphin. Apparently Aubree is obsessed with the dolphin.
Some of Chelsea’s relatives are in Florida for the trip to the aquarium as well. It looks like a great little trip. I love the otters. When I lived in Athens there was a neat little, tiny zoo right by my house and I loved going there to watch the otters. The tour guide’s voice is horrible. The pelican was super cool. I would love this place. Aubree got to see the dolphins.
Normally I am not a fan of “life coaches,” but in Leah’s case it seems like a great idea. Leah has decided that she wants to be a motivational speaker when she grows up. I no longer think this life coach thing is a good idea. Leah isn’t even coherent in her conversation with her friend. There is nothing about Leah that says “motivational speaker.”
Leah’s speech is all over the place. She is nervous and says “I don’t know” and “be confident” a lot. She is clearly not confident. It looks like she cried. Leah and her partner argue a bit when the speaking engagement is over. Leah seems to blame the fact that she is not a public speaker on the lip stick business that she never really wanted to do in the first place. Leah needs to get a normal job, perhaps in retail sales.
What did you think of this episode? Am I the only one rooting for Luis?
