Before we get started, Ramona made Page Six today for having a major meltdown in the Hamptons. It seems she went off on some PR lady who dared to publicize Mario’s affairs a couple years back. It sounded just like her RHONY behavior.
We start out at an Italian place in the Bronx. I covered this scene live but I can’t seem to find the darn post and I am delaying Big Brother to recap this in real time, so I have no more time to waste looking for it! All of the ladies except Ramona are meeting up in a trattoria in the Bronx version of Little Italy for lunch. Dorinda is hungover and needs a bloody mary. Bethenny orders two bottles of wine for the table. Luann says it’s noon somewhere! And Tinsley has clearly never been to the Bronx in her life.
The ladies bash Ramona for a bit and then, Sonja out of the blue claims both Dorinda and Ramona both wanted to do Tipsy Girl. That is simply a lie. Peter did reach out to Dorinda and Ramona and neither of them were dumb enough to do it. Dorinda was still drunk from the night before when she came in and after a morning nip or six, she’s wasted very quickly. Luann is embarrassed by Dorinda’s loud drunken behavior.
I cannot begin to recap the dramatics I just saw. But it ended with Dorinda standing by Sonja loudly proclaiming Sonja to be “the hostess with the mostest” and gesturing toward her chuckalina. This may be one of the best moments in RHONY history. It’s like Scary Island good.
Somehow despite Luann storming out and Dorinda storming out, everyone is back at the table when we return from the break. Now Dorinda has moved into her crying victim drunk place. Sonja brings up Dorinda not inviting her to the Berkshires over a year ago. Dorinda morphs into a Pee Hermanesque persona and says, “I’m not about going backwards, ASSWIPE!” It’s just hysterical. Frankly, I don’t think Sonja and Ramona should ever be allowed to enter the Berkshires EVER AGAIN.
Carole and others were apologizing for their raucous behavior on the way out. A table of older gentleman tell Carole they didn’t mind a bit. Then one guy tells Carole that she looks like Melania Trump. Perfect.
I can’t with Tinsley’s therapy scenes. I zipped right through it. It was a long fast forward.
Sonja is drunk as hell at a luncheon where Luann is supposed to invite Ramona on the skiing trip. Sonja makes a comment about sleeping with Tom and Luann walks out.
Finally we get to Stratton and their rental lodge is stunning. Bethenny talks about the trip to Mexico. Dorinda has never been to Mexico. How is that possible? In more, how is that possible news, Dorinda forgot to put her suitcases in the car. Welcome to menopause, Dorinda. The excuse was she stopped by to have sex with John and forgot she needed to pick up her suitcases on the way.
Ramona is screaming from the moment she gets out of the car. They can hear her inside the lodge. They are so loud! Then the Sonja and Ramona hunt for the best room begins. They are so obnoxious. Luann is the last to arrive.
I’m not really recapping this because it’s a bunch of montages of the past, and normal pleasantries mixed in with Ramona and Sonja acting like fools. Bethenny does mention she is not seeing Dennis anymore. I’m sure it has to do with this situation. I do see potential for Bethenny and Dennis in the future. I think she just needs to sow some wild oats first. Word on Mama Joyce’s streets is she has been doing exactly that with some boy toys. Good for her.
At dinner, after Bethenny kindly invites Luann to Mexico, Luann says that her feelings are hurt that the best room in the cabin was not saved for her because she just got married. WTF, Luann? You can’t be the arbiter of etiquette and launch into a haughty dressing down of the hostess demeaning the accommodations. Where are your manners?
At dinner, Sonja trashes Tinsley for living in her apartment and not looking for her own place and dating and basically everything about Tinsley seems to annoy Sonja. Tinsley drinks and then has a meltdown. Stupid Ramona tries to comfort her. Bethenny and Carole both feel like Tinsley is just used to being in abusive relationships and for now, that relationship is with Sonja. There is very little compassion at this table for Tinsley. That makes me sad.
Fortunately now I get to go back to my happy place. BIG BROTHER!
