I normally go into these “Secrets Revealed” episodes wondering why I am even going to recap this as they almost never reveal any secrets. However, I believe this time there may have been some things added after the reunion was filmed to shed some light on the Phaedra situation. So I am mildly optimistic. I am also having a case of THE CRAZY today, and my brain is not functioning to well so this may take longer than usual.
Freak and Phraud
We start with Porsha lying in confessional. She is really trying to get us to believe that the alliance with Phaedra is an actual friendship. In Maui, these two and the stunt boyfriend, Todd, hang out in the hotel room. Then Phaedra lies in her talking head. She says,” Frick and Frack’s relationship is so special, no one can break that up.”
Someone who is supposed to be my friend gave me a copy of Sheree’s book. I have been trying to read it. It is sooooo badly written and ridiculous I can only do like a paragraph a day. I was thinking of starting a group of posts with some of the more hilarious things in the book. Just recently I inferred from the book that the dookey brown stucco was meant to make one feel as though they are at a high end Mexican resort. I also inferred that Sheree must not have ever been to a high end Mexican resort. To me, Chateau Sheree looks more like a federal women’s prison. There is still time left for her to experience that.
Sheree and Phaedra end up in the LGBT section of a bookstore, that I am certain does not carry Sheree’s book, to discuss Kandi and Porsha’s relationship. It’s been many years but I have been in this bookstore. It’s very LGBT friendly. So this makes it that much more cringe worthy when Phaedra makes lesbian slurs about Porsha “being into sushi.” She also did some sort of holy dance to get the lustful demons away from her when Sheree feels the need to repeat the graphic offers of oral sex that Porsha made to Kandi. Phaedra, the sanctified Christian, says she needs to hook a lie detector up to their vagina lips to get at the truth and then asks Jesus to fix it. There is something very wrong with Phaedra Parks.
Next we are at a hookah lounge. This is interesting because the girl who owns this lounge, Lena, was supposed to be on the show but did not make the cut. We see here very briefly in this scene.I do not understand this entire scene. The purpose of it seems to be to show that Sheree told Porsha that Kandi says Porsha and Block had sex. Then she also says that Kandi didn’t say that. Is it my brain issue or is this whole scene hard to follow?
Phaedra tells the ladies about her meeting with Kandi. I suppose this was filmed at the time when Kenya and Phaedra were pretending to get along, because Kenya is trying to advise Phaedra on how to make things right with Kandi. Phaedra brings up her sending the Feds to Kandi’s house as if she has nothing to do with that. She did. If nothing else she said on national TV that they were hiding assets in their home for Apollo. Right after that episode aired, there was a knock on Kandi’s door. Why in the hell did they not tell Lena to turn off the tacky whirling colored lights. That is not helping me focus on this scene. Cynthia tries to teach Phaedra how to make an apology.
We have a montage of Kenya and Phaedra pretending to get along. Phaedra tells Kenya that Apollo is “actively contesting” the divorce. Phaedra also lies about not dating anyone.
We get to see unseen footage of Kenya consulting with a guy about increasing her home security. She asks for a fence that could electrocute a guy that is 6’7″. Kenya says she has access to multiple guns.
Phaedra took a limo ride in Philadelphia with her high school prom date. He says she is a bit thicker than she was. Phaedra talks about how all men love her. At some point they just pull the car over and let Ronnie out at the corner. Run, Ronnie. RUN!
Noelle and Cynthia call Leon to wish him a happy Father’s Day. It interesting that was shown today because Cynthia received a lovely floral arrangement for Mother’s Day from Leon. We see Kandi and her family out for a Father’s Day picnic. Riley did not contact Block. Bob helped Kairo move into his dorm room. In this family themed montage, we get to see Dylan crying at the dentist.
There was a really sad scene of Cynthia and Peter’s final goodbye.
Noelle and Cynthia have a long conversation about how hard the divorce was on Noelle. Noelle says she got most of her information online. That’s sad.
Kandi tells the story of when she packed up all of her stuff and left Ace in the house. She says she got all the way out of her neighborhood before she noticed. Ace is a partner in his clothing line. He is also the face of the company, so of course he had his own photo shoot. Cynthia stopped by to help out.
We see a hilarious scene where Cynthia and Sheree were terrified while crossing a very long suspension bridge on the camping trip. Kenya of course had to jump up and down and shake the bridge, despite that being against the rules. Then we are back to the Flint trip where Phaedra is trying to instill values into children. Phaedra in no way explained to the kids what courage is. Phaedra says, “We have courage because we are here.” Then it literally rains on Phaedra’s tea party on a little boat. Phaedra and Kenya and the little girls all get under the table on the boat as if they were all witches who would melt if they got wet. Later, Kenya gives an inspirational speech to the kids about turning their sadness and disappointment into their strengths. One of the campers has a huge emotional breakdown.
In some unseen Maui footage we see Peter trying to get Porsha to take accountability for her lies. He says that she has accused him of all sorts of false things and she never holds herself accountable. It was also interesting that Todd (the fake boyfriend) said that they should consider the source of the lies. At this point there was only Phaedra and Peter and Porsha and Todd at the table. Oh Sheree and Bob are there but not really a part of this. Phaedra has the never to say that Peter needs to stop telling lies about her. Peter says that Phaedra cosigns on every lie Porsha tells. Porsha says that Peter was just a casualty of the war between her and Cynthia. It ends with Porsha saying she is going to continue to speak her truth.
