Today is my friend, The Lady Cocotte’s birthday. You guys are all familiar with Lady C, who is the primary contributing writer to TamaraTattles.com. Lady C currently covers RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Walking Dead, and Vanderpump Rules. She has also covered Big Brother and filled in for me on many occasions when I was either out of the country, in the hospital or unable to carry out my duties. She’s written at least 126 posts for this site. Edited to add: HOW COULD I FORGET MY FAVORITE, LADIES OF LONDON!
You may also have noticed that the photos for my posts have improved greatly. That is because of The Lady Cocotte as well. Any day that I have a recap, she sends me screen grabs she has made for the shows we all watch. She resizes them to fit the format and watermarks them with the site name. I cannot stress enough her incredible contributions to this site. She is the best intern I’ve ever chained to the radiator bar none.
Lady C is not just a fabulous writer, she an even better friend. I do not use that word lightly. We’ve been through some shit lately. She’s been there for Internet drama where my friends and supporters have been under constant attack for months, and we’ve grieved the loss of our friend UF together. Through it all she’s been an unwavering source of support always offering to help in any way she could. She’s quite simply an amazing woman.
And she does it all without expectation of compensation, or praise. She covers the shows she is passionate about. Those shows don’t get the kind of response that the housewives shows do here, and each week she gives phenomenal recaps anyway. You should read them even if you don’t watch the shows. She’s a fantastic writer.
I could talk about her all day. She is a kind, loving spirit who is not jaded by the deplorable people we are accustomed to encountering on the Internet. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such a loyal friend, but I’m fortunate to have her in my life.
If you are on Twitter, please follow her on Twitter. If you have read and enjoyed her posts here, give her shout out in comments.
Happy Birthday, my friend. I hope this next year brings you happiness and love. Thank you for being my friend and for all you have done for this site. I can’t express how much you mean to me, and this site.
Now go eat some cake.
