It’s been a long night and I have a head cold that make me inexplicably weepy. I should just call it a night as it’s already 11:30, but I really want to see this show tonight! When last we left, the Trio of Victims (TOV) and finally caught up to Maddie in a diner. She manages to get away from them after explaining that she will be killed if the people she works for see them.
Off she goes to her bank job where she find flowers from Patrick. Maddie sure does have a lot of suitors. She wants to quit her job but Max won’t let her. He tells her she can quit once she marries her mark, Patrick.
The TOV split up after seeing Patrick, his sister and “Saffron.” They quickly learn that is the name Maddie uses with Patrick. Ezra approaches Patrick at a flower stand and claims to know him from somewhere. The TOV are way too stupid for this. I doubt Patrick’s name is Patrick any more that Saffron’s name is Saffron. Only the TOV are using their real names here.
Patrick has planned a birthday party for Saffron who is turning 30, He just happened to run across Saffron’s brother at a flower stand who recognized him from photos his sister had shared. Her brother, Erza, brings his date Jules to the party. They head to the bar where Richard is the bartender. The TOV are slightly smarter than I thought.
Twice now Maddie has almost come clean to Max. First at the bank when she almost told him the TOV had found her, and now at the party she tries to call him for help. Doesn’t she know about Sally? Max is only loyal to Max!
Meanwhile back on the boat, Max is finally answering his phone. Saffron calls him from the bathroom and tells him what’s up. He leaves immediately to come fix the problem.
Richard seems to be striking up a bromance with Patrick. Jules is loaded and mocking the hell out of Patrick while he gives his sappy toast to Saffron. Cue the over the top fireworks display.
Maddie dances with her brother Ezra. The entire dance is a lovers quarrel, that Patrick interrupts.
Jules picks up a hot girl at the bar. Richards tell Maddie he needs a one on one with her or he is going to blow her up. He wants her in the wig, as Alice. He wants to dump her. It’s hysterical. Richard is the dumb one. It’s a Yolanda Foster style breakup full of journeys. Richard got his closure and then ran after her begging her to get back together with him. These people are hysterical.
Jules needs her attention. She’s drunk and grabs the mike and becomes talking about when birth really happens. Maybe we are born over and over and over with each person meet. Jules says maybe we should face the fact that Saffron is really…and Erza grabs her and hauls her off. The TOV stumble downstairs and into Max. Someone they all know under different name. He very carefully explains all of the secrets he has on them and all of their family members threatens them all and then pretty much breaks Richard’s hand when he gets all macho.
All night Ezra has been ignoring calls from his brother, Josh. Apparently his father had a heart attack. It doesn’t look like he is going to make it. He needs to go home.
After Ezra leaves for home, Richard tells Jules he wants to save Patrick. He says Patrick seems like a great guy. He asks her to think how much better off they would be if someone had tipped them off in time to save themselves. Jules thinks it’s a bad idea and wants him to ask Ezra what to do. He ignores her and takes off to find his bromance.
He follows Patrick into a building where he sees him with his “sister” and his “aunt.” They are all wearing FBI badges.
This is the best show ever.
I love how the guy doing voice overs for next week says, “In a twist no one saw coming…” More comedy from production. I can’t wait until next week!
