Teresa Giudice Storms Out Of Access Hollywood Live Interview

Teresa Orange Jumpsuit. WWHL
Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, Teresa Giudice along with her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, sat down with Access Hollywood Live’s Kit Hoover and guest co-host Dave Karger to discuss the new season of RHONJ recently when Teresa became offended by a question and stormed off. The question had been asked and answered by Teresa on previous interviews, but perhaps it was the poor choice of wording that set her off? Although Teresa was a bit emotional in this interview before things even started.

Dave Karger asks Teresa, “Are you worried that it is the end of your family unit as you know it?” because of the possibility (more like likelihood) that Joe will be deported.  Teresa replies, “Next question please?  I don’t think that is something you should be asking. ”

At this point you can see that Dave feels bad for upsetting Teresa, but Kit Hoover better prepare for a reign of terror on social media led by the deranged Teresa fans because after Teresa storms off, she is thrilled. Kit high fives a reluctant Dave over her first walk off! Then she asked to go back to the feed to see if Melissa was there and the crew is all laughing at the two empty seats.  Click through to see the video.

This makes me wonder if Teresa actually knows how likely it is that Joe will be deported. Perhaps she has been told the reality of the situation is that even after he finishes his sentence he will be incarcerated in a much more uncomfortable environment.

Although this video was posted today, the description mentions “the upcoming season” so I am not sure when this was taped.

Thoughts?

maybe it was only rude because they didn’t offer them enough money to answer it…she is not above anyone to not answer that question. They didn’t even say it in a nasty way.

  2. Well Italy isn’t a 3rd world country, so Theresa needs to relax and own it. But I was happy to see Melissa walk off my in solidarity.

    • Betty

Melissa should have stayed. ” Solidarity” with a felon thief who stole from banks and retailers. Melissa better keep track of her purse. Tre would definitely steal it

      • Dexter

Before everyone is indignant over what these two not so smart people did let’s get indignant over the real criminals who never answered for the fraud. Barney Frank. Mortgage Companies. Bankers everywhere. These two were low hanging fruit. The real criminals just redecorated their yacht and are looking at new jets.

      • I find it fascinating that every time the Giudice fraud is mentioned someone pops up and talks about other people who have committed fraud and/or the fact that the Gorgas and/or the Larita’s hands may not be clean. I really don’t see what that has to do with anything.

      • Allison

Melissa left the interview because she would have had to face Teresa’s wrath if she didnt, let’s be real. And I agree-not sure why the Laurita’s and Gorga’s are tossed into the convo when the Guidice’s crimes are discussed-they havent been charged as far as I know so its got not much to do w anything? In my lonely opinion, anyway.

  3. Briannatozer16

Ew that whole thing was distasteful kit is a dumbass. Karger seems sweet and also seems like he was setup …

    • Betty

It was a legit question. The judge said they would address it closer to his release. What now Teresa wants to pick and choose what’s on tv? She films her kids crying into the phone when she would call from prison and films the kids being told daddy is now gong to the pokey. Lol. Too bad, so sad.

      • Briannatozer16

Hell no. That was the classic “let’s catch em live” move by the reporter. T is known for sitting through the worst interviews and faking like nothing is wrong (she did that interview w Andy like the day before she left for prison). They know legally she can’t talk about that and it was obviously something they covered before hand. So they waited until they were live to put her on the spot. If it was a legit question you would’ve better your ass Melissa would stay. She loves cameras. Legally it would be T who holds the libality if she said something wrong. If it was a real question her lawyers would’ve prepped her for an answer.

      • spunky2015

Totally agree, and not a Teresa fan. She declined politely.

      • Blondesense

I could not have said it better Betty. She has whored out every second of this drama at the expense of those poor girls. God forbid someone ask a legitimate question. Little Audriana thinks God will bring her dad home. Does Teresa really grasp that? Or is poor Gia the only one worrying about it?

      • TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsYoya

I mean, the previews for the next episode show them all crying in bed over daddy going away. Why is this question inappropriate? It’s a major storyline this season. And as mentioned, been asked and answered before.

  4. Rgs

It was the tone. Dave clearly felt bad but the kit went on to say in an antagonizing tone “well we’re gonna see it on the show anyways” and Teresa quickly said “no u won’t” and then kit brought up heather Dubrow. But yes, kit was laughing, the studio laughing, and then finally the high five…. It was all truly disappointing. They’re veteran anchors who have previously delivered professional interviewing skills. This wasn’t even a Heidi spencer al Roker interview where he was out to expose their bs. I actually felt bad. Dave tweeted back saying he acknowledged the unprofessional behavior after she stormed off so at least he gets it.

    • Totally agree and I’m not a Teresa fan. Miss botox eyebrows (Kit) was very unprofessional. Kit looks like a fool and acts like one too.

    • Swizzle

That Kit chick was awful. I’m embarrassed for her. She was so gleeful that Teresa walked off and the guy felt bad and she kept acting like it was the best thing she’d ever done. I’m glad the guy acknowledged it was unprofessional. Yes, it’s an entertainment show, but they should still act like decent people.

  5. misery chick

Yeah, that was strange. To me, Theresa didn’t seem all THAT upset; I believe Kit had moved on to the next question when Theresa just got up and left, mic still clipped on and all. Melissa seemed really surprised she left too, she sat there stunned for a minute before smiling awkwardly before getting up and leaving.

Now that I think about it, I believe that Theresa was more upset @ Kit’s follow-up comment saying that Theresa needs to get used to questions like these because “everyone’s talking about this” and eventually it will be on her tv show. Theresa replied that it will NEVER be on the show, she left right after that…
I guess “Tre” was used to being able to talk about shit nobody really cares about (Joe looks SOO GOOD, he’s down to 189 pounds and he’s not so bloated) and answer only answer softball questions with no follow up. BRAVO (see what I did there, ha ha) to Kit 🙌

    • TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsYoya

Exactly right misery chick. Teresa is allergic to the truth, and “everyone’s talking about it” was too much for her spoiled ass to handle. Kit had moved on to the next question as requested. Walking off was completely absurd.

  6. Twilly

    Zero sympathy.

  7. Auntie Velvet

Maybe it was the Heather Dubrow thing that set her off. 😉

Seriously, it’s always hard to tell. Maybe Joe yelled at her for how she was answering questions the last time she checked in on him.

    • Minky

Yeah, because Joe totally wears the pants in that family. Oy vey!

I don’t get why that question was a big deal. Were they trying to prank Teresa or were they just laughing at her for storming off for no good reason. I mean, she’s knows people are going to ask that question. This all seems a bit off to me.

  8. Chloe

The advertisement for next week’s episode is about Gia being upset her dad is “going away.” You would think Gia at her age would have at least read online her dad could be deported. Or, maybe this is discussed in the next episode.

I think Teresa wanted to talk about her cookbooks and humdrum stuff like that and was mad when asked about reality. That’s what people care about. Still not taking any responsibility for their actions and wanting things their way.

    • Blondesense

I’m sure Gia knows. She is a bright young lady and I bet Teresa is leaning on her. It was clear she was the primary carer when Tre was in the clink. On the upcoming scene where Audriana is praying for God to bring Joe home, it was clear from Gia’s face she knew this was not happening.

  9. mzjulesaz

Whatever the reason for her doing it, walking off has more folks talking then would have been had she not.

  10. DejaBlue53

I want to know if they are going to ask Heather about her feud with Jeff Lewis 😀

  11. Joan

Ok, I might be missing something that has already been addressed here, or in the media..when someone who isn’t an American marries an American they automatically have American citizenship. I have several people in my life who experienced this. However, that was in the 80’s. Have the laws changed? If not, wouldn’t Joe have become an American citizen when he married Teresa?

    • Minky

That’s a darn good question. I don’t think marriage automatically makes you a citizen, but I think it might make it a lot easier for you to get a green card. Like the movie Green Card with Gerard Depardieu and Andy McDowell.

    • Lawstangel

Actually, they do not automatically get citizenship upon marriage. After they are married they have to go through a process with ICE (previously INS). Before 9/11 citizenship was almost automatic, but after 9/11 there have been significant changes and it is much harder now.

      • Roseisrose

It is not automatic and you do have to apply. Joe has lived in the US since he was a small child and never had a problem with ICE. He and his family probably figured it was a was of time and several hundred dollars. Oopsie! Bad call for someone that doesn’t like to follow the law.

    • Resident Alien (green card) =/= citizenship.

      • Allison

Wrong. A green card (RA) just gives you permission to be here. It does NOT protect you from removal if you have been convicted of a crime. The only things that protect you from removal are becoming a citizen, or not committing crimes. You wouldnt be called an RA if you were a citizen and not deportable.

      • Well, yes Dear, that was my point. =/= means “does not equal”.

      • Allison

OMG-I’m so sorry-the symbols didnt show up on my ancient laptop. My apologies, ericzku :(

      • Oh, no worries Hon.

        😉

      • Allison

        @erickzu Thank you-I feel like a real horse’s ass though :p note to self:symbols, Allison, symbols. 😉

    • Blondesense

I am Australian and married an American. I got a visa but never applied for citizenship. You basically have all the same rights to work and travel but you have to apply for citizenship (remember when Yolanda went and took the test and went to a ceremony? That was becoming a citizen). If Yolanda commits a crime – she can’t be deported. Joe most likely couldn’t be bothered going through the paperwork, money, studying etc.

      • Minky

Joe and Teresa are a couple of grade A, organic, grass fed idiots. They probably didn’t have Joe go through the citizenship process because you have to take a test and study U.S. History for that. I know because my parents and many, many relatives went through the process. I remember the excitement and nervousness in our home when they would study their books and quiz each other to prepare for the test. And these were people who couldn’t speak, read or write in English very well. But they did it. I really doubt that Joe could.

      • Allison

Exactly, Mink-Joe wanted a slice of the American dream but took shortcuts to get it, obviously, and couldnt be bothered to become a citizen, I’m sure that goes along with his arrogance and confidence he wouldnt get busted. I’m sort of on the fence as to how much Teresa actually knew. I could see her blindly signing things because joe told her too, but there are other aspects I have a hard time believing she didnt play an active part in.

      • Miele

        Lol @”Grade A, organic, grass-Fred idiots”!!

      • Miele

        Oh goodness. *grass-fed
My voice-to-text is plotting against me tonight, LOL.

      • I think Teresa probably thought it was “cute” that Joe was an actual citizen of Italy. It’s more Italian than the Olive Garden.

      • spunky2015

        LOL – too funny!

    • Jen

Marrying an American citizen qualifies you for a certain type of green card. Joe already had a green card from when his family emigrated here when he was a child so he didn’t need to get one through his marriage. He had also been here long enough to qualify for citizenship on his own. I don’t know why he never got citizenship. I wondered if his parents did, because if they did when he was under the age of 18, he automatically became a citizen then too, even if he didn’t know it. He obviously had been keeping his green card current because we saw him traveling in and out of the country, and they won’t let you back in if you don’t have the right paperwork (or he used his brother’s passport/green card), so he knew what his situation was. I think he had a more sinister reason for never taking citizenship, such as not being deportable if he ever ran back to Italy, or having money over there that he didn’t want to be seizable. The test is not that hard (husband and I both took it), and the application certainly isn’t expensive for someone with their money.

    • Dexter

You still have to apply. My cousin from another country lives here. Was married 40 years. She did not want to give up citizenship to home country so she became US resident but never became US citizen. Apparently he forgot about status so probably applied for nothing b

      • He couldn’t have forgotten about his status. We’ve seen them travel out of the country and he would have had to get his papers in order to do that. It’s not as simple as pulling your passport out of the drawer.

  12. Gapeachinsc

I think the question spooked her because the reality of the future has finally sunk in, like prison stripped her of her rose colored glasses. Something like that.

    • TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsYoya

I agree. Teresa lives in fantasy land, how DARE Kit intrude talking about reality and consequences!

  13. Lisa j

I personally think it was the name Heather Dubrow that brought about the walk off. I’d like to high 5 Heather for saying OUTLOUD what most of us think. Ciao Teresa.

      • Siamukha

She basically said people would like Teresa to show accountability and remorse coming out of prison. She pointed out how Teresa only seems to want to focus on her “yoga and diet” and people kinda want to see she is sorry for her actions. I agree that the mention of Heather Dubrow made her get up and leave.

      • TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsYoya

Aha, I did not know this. For sure it was the name Heather Dubrow that made her run. Haha!

  14. Briannatozer16

I think there are certain federal charges that can get you deported or even “images”. I remember kat stacks (a known hoe in the hip hop industry) was arrested for prostitution as a minor and got to stay in the country but now that she’s of legal age they are threatening to deport her for her “image”.

  15. lori

Wow. These hosts are ridiculous. Horrible taste.

  16. Rose

Seems calculated to me…her walking out only generates more buzz for the show. Fortunately this is a RH franchise I don’t watch.

  17. mary

Teresa reaction was surprising! Usually she is so good at bullshit answers & acting like she believes her own bs. I wonder if prior to the interview she gave a list of topics she was not going to talk about or the show led her to believe that the interview was only going to focus on the fluffy bs of rhonj.

  18. Allison

My sympathy is zilch for Teresa-I actually agree with Heather, she sure hasnt shown remorse and if anything still acts victimized. As for reporter unprofessionalism-meh. Doesnt bother me as much as Teresa does, so I’m ok with it. Joe will probably be deported-others have for much less, and I cant say he wont deserve it.

  19. Matzah60

I don’t think the question was out of line. It’s on the back of everyone’s mind that watches the show. I think it was sloppy that Joe never applied for citizenship here, but he isn’t the brightest bulb and probably never thought it was a big deal. He was living here legally, but he wasn’t a citizen. I’m not too sure he understood that. My take is since he believed he was living in the US legally, then naturally, he was a citizen.

I will say that if they’re going to deport him, why bother keeping him in jail for 41 months at the taxpayer’s expense and alternatively, why put him in an ICE holding prison for a year or more in horrid conditions. To me, that is cruel and unusual punishment, literally. Either ship him out or keep him in Fort Dix until they decide what they’re going to do. What is the point of moving him from Fort Dix to an ICE prison. I just don’t get that.

  20. Diane

All these ‘wives’ are becoming too annoying to watch.

I mean why are we watching and basically paying for her lifestyle by watching a convicted felon? If it was you or me who would pay or care? Why do we keep propping these ppl up? The Lauritas are liars too. The Feds haven’t come after them. I guess they paid their taxes. But as much as I have loved the show I think what is wrong with us? Why do we watch this BS? THEY ARE FELONS. Joe should be deported. Sorry too bad so sad.
    I feel for the girls.

I am just growing weary on these shows. It used to be fun and watching the rich. Now its watching lying criminals bitches bullies crazy leg throwing shaming fellow sisters more lying and I am tired.

I know this is not a post on Southern Charm and TT if I am breaking rules I am so sorry but I am compellled to say that …. when that show started it wasnt supposed to go to dark and ugly and into the depths of hell. All these shows are imploding. Lies about cancer. Bullies on NY. NY was failing
Andy begged Bethenny to come back. She wasnt pals with these ladies. She hated them. BRAVO made a bargain w the Devil. She owns them. She squeezes their balls and they say how high in a soprano voice. Loved her when she came back. But she has become a bitch from hell. Sick of her poor me my life. Suck it up buttercup. We all have dysfunction. She is a bully.

    Sorry TT.. FORGIVE ME

I am so tired of the angst. These shows are not fun or breathers from life. They are hate filled wrestling matches. They suck the life out of the Jules ppl. They kill the personality of a Carole and they have made Bethenny a very mean girl. She is not well. She has a major personality d/o. In REAL LIFE? she would be side stepped because she is evil. She is. Ask me about my life as a mental health authority for a county in Texas. Bethenny is a classic …

    • Minky

I like your post. I don’t watch Southern Charm because I’m literally afraid of that show. I fear the evil that is that Patricia woman being beamed into my home through the TV set.

I watched Jersey Belle, and I liked it because it seemed like a positive, fun show with nice people in the cast. Did it get renewed? Hell no!

    • Lisa j

Love what you said! Enough pussy footing around this. The only thing Teresa feels badly for is being naive and probably getting caught.

    • lori

I love what you wrote Diane. Very well said. I could barely get myself to watch the first episode of Jersey. Yesterday I literally forced myself to just do it. Why though??? It’s crazy. It leaves me feeling sick inside.

    • I couldn’t agree with you more! I don’t watch anymore because I refuse to help fund these idiots lifestyle by being a viewer.

  21. SB

You mean delusional Teresa didn’t want to confront the reality that is her life? shocking!

  22. The last shot of Melissa says it all for me – that smile. I bet it killed her to walk off, lol. I’ve never been able to decide if Teresa is a master of timing or just blunders into things like this – either way – she always keeps ’em talking.

  23. Karen

While the question was fair, the attitude of the female host wasn’t something I was prepared for, but I suppose she’s not doing hard news so showing any respect and a little empathy isn’t expected?

  24. Elizabeth

What did Heather Debrow say? The girl reporter took it to far with the high five….but Tre stomped off for ratings buzz….although I have to say Melissa didn’t have a clue what was going on… She was just as surprised….

  25. cammierari

I agree with mary up thread-I bet in the pre-interview Teresa said no discussion of her husband’s legal problem or something. Maybe she said she would only do the interview if those were the ground rules. Looks like Miss Kit decided to pounce thinking she would put T on the spot and get an answer despite the agreement. I LOVE that she walked off, and it looks like even tho Melissa wanted to stay, she felt she had to leave to support her SIL. That’s the shocker for me!

  26. J. R.

I am very entertained by ALL of Teresa and her family’s shenanigans! She has made history as the 1st reality show personality to freaking go to prison for her crimes, be released, and resume her job as a reality star (with a best selling book to boot!) IMMEDIATELY upon being released. If my statement is wrong, forgive me. I certainly don’t want notoriety by her example, but I am impressed with HER outcome because I would be on meds and institutionalized with the media circus surrounding her situation. I do not endorse her illegal activity but my ass is definitely entertained by her and her castmates’ foolishness on my television every Sunday evening and love this forum provided by Tamara to further the discussion. Let’s face it, we can’t go to work and talk about this crazy shit on Monday without lots of judgement followed with the side-eye.

  27. John Farmer

People, this is Access Hollywood. It’s a barely a step up from TMZ. It’s a trashy reality tabloid show. Heads would probably role if an A-lister walked off, but unfortunately reality TV “stars” are seen as fair targets for pretty harsh, condescending treatment. And in a way, I can see it. They throw their whole lives on TV for public consumption and then try desperately to monetize the little bit of fame they have for the short amount of time they have it, and this usually pushes them into truly cringe-worthy behavior. Hard to feel sorry for them but not totally impossible.

  28. worldgirl

    Screw Teresa.
