Bravo can be a real pain in the ass when it comes to giving them free advertising for their programming. I have been working on a decent link to this video for days. I still don’t think the video will play on Internet Explorer. Sorry if it doesn’t work for everyone, but honestly, all you really need to see is captured in the photo above. This may be my favorite thing anyone has said on a reunion show ever. On the other hand, I wish someone else was saying it. I’m afraid we are getting season one Kenya back. We already have a sea of ratchet behavior and I like Kenya best when she is above the fray.
There was a lot of chatter that the reunion was scheduled to be on two parts this year, which I took as a bad sign, but there are in fact three parts as usual. According to the PR, “The three-part reunion kicks off on Sunday, March 20 at 8pm ET/PT. Tensions rise between Kenya and Phaedra when Kenya accuses her of being the ultimate shade thrower. Kandi and Phaedra address their deteriorating relationship but with new grievances in the mix, will these two ever be able to put the past behind them and move forward? Shereè joins the ladies to discuss her experience returning to the show and Kenya and Kim go head-to-head when they confront their rocky relationship.”
As we already knew, Kenya gets into it with Kim , Porsha and Phaedra and will likely be the primary shit stirrer for this reunion.
“In Reunion Part Two, airing on Sunday, March 27 at 8pm ET/PT, the ladies rehash the drama of Jamaica from the ups and downs surrounding the execution of Cynthia’s commercial to her downplaying her relationship with Kenya to the group. In a special appearance, NeNe Leakes gathers with the women to weigh in on the drama and to address the group’s concerns surrounding Porsha’s anger management issues. Shereè and NeNe reflect on their shaky past and where their friendship stands today. The men join the conversation to give their opinions on the plethora of hot-button issues including unsettling allegations surrounding Kim’s husband, Chris.”
If you recall, in my exclusive tea about the reunion, I told you that Bravo sent Porsha to anger management classes because of her attack on her friend and stylist, Jami Zeigler who was at the finale filming of the Christmas party. Also on the second part things get ugly between Kim and Chris and Kenya and Matt. It seems Matt has no problem defending his woman, and Chris has no problem defending his wife. There was a bit to do made about Nene not being in any of the early photos from the set. As it turns out she had a later time call. I really hope that you can see the video just to see her jumpsuit. I can’t wait for reactions.
“During Reunion Part Three, airing on Sunday, April 3 at 8pm ET/PT, Phaedra reflects on the emotional season she’s undergone with her husband Apollo away at prison and the effects it’s had on her life. Cynthia and Peter disclose the current state of their marriage and address upsetting rumors about their relationship, which leads to a tense verbal encounter between Cynthia and Porsha. The women revisit the drama surrounding the Miami trip and make an attempt to move forward after a tumultuous season.”
For me it seems clear that Cynthia, Kandi, Keyna, and Nene (and even Sheree) can all film together with a low probability of anyone getting killed. The two ratchet peas in a bursting at the seams pod, seem to be friendless. They can barely pretend to like each other. I think they should both go. Porsha is going to either get herself killed, or seriously injure someone eventually. I think sending her to anger management only acknowledges that the girl ain’t right and needs to be removed from this volatile group completely. I think only Andy and the most casual of viewers believe Phaedra’s scenes with the boys. She has no idea where the baking sheets are kept, every prop in every touching mother scene is brand new, she has no idea where the school is or how to use a car seat. It would be comical if it were not so sad.
From the looks of things though, this reunion looks pretty good. I fear we have seen the best parts in the teaser. Perhaps Nene was not the best person to lecture Porsha on her violence. For one thing, she totally instigated the attack on Kenya at the reunion. And as Porsha points out, “Didn’t you choke somebody?”
