Sorry I have been terrible at recapping this. For some reason I have decided not to do much on Wednesdays. I am just now getting caught up on the show.
I loved the episodes of Fredrik in Sweden. I was sad that his friend Ana was not willing to be his surrogate. That said, I don’t think it is a good idea to have someone you know be the surrogate. Fredrick has a really fancypants condo on the west village on a 45 day contract and he is 30 days in. As usual, it’s bit high for the neighborhood. Fredrik is in a panic.
Fredrik goes to meet with his developers and tries to get them to reduce the price. Or at the least get some more time on the contract. The developers are not budging.
Fredrik gets an offer. The buyer doesn’t have a broker and he sweetened the deal to his seller by forgoing the extra $630,000 buyers commission! That was foolish. I believe the guys had already agree to the $21 million sales price!
Ryan has a appointment on West 57th street in a building where the penthouse sold last year for 100 million dollars. The appointment is with the selling agent who is “there” on a robotic device with a screen for facetiming. Actually, the guy seems to be trying to get Ryan to take the listing. They want $16 million for it. Ryan gets the listing at $14.95 million.
Ryan made a bet with one of his protégés about who could get a buyer first. Ryan bought his penthouse himself for him and his fiancée so that really should not count.
Luis has sold an apartment in record time. The broker was buying on behalf of a woman. They closed the deal and then the broker fell off the face of the earth. During all of this his mother comes for a visit. She tries to make him breakfast but he is up and rushing out the door. But mama wins out and gets him to eat a pancake. She is also appalled had his lack of dishes. One plate, one spoon, one coffee cup.
After a week and a half, the MIA broker finally makes contact. Luis is missing dinner with his mother for this meeting. The broker comes in with an oxygen tank. He has been in the hospital. He needs heart, lung and liver surgery. All transplants. He may not survive. Luis is visibly overwhelmed. The broker has the deal. It’s still on. Luis cries in his talking head about missing dinner with his mom. He was overwhelmed by the broker telling him to go hug the one he loves. He is still looking for that special someone.
Luis meets with a life coach. He had a panic attack during a meeting with a client. He went to the hospital and it freaked him out. He thought he was going to die. He starts to cry when talking to the life coach. The life coach tells him he needs to balance work with having another life. The life coach tells him he needs to meditate every morning. Luis is skeptical but he tries it and it works. Luis realizes that he needs to be present in every moment. Luis plans to see the guy every week.
